This was extremely helpful. Mine is a 2015 Sierra and minus a bar that I had to unbolt and move out of the way, the setup was fairly similar. Your tutorial saved me from having to go the mechanic and now that I've done it once, I can do it quicker next time. Thanks!!
Thanks for the help from a below average guy when it comes to mechanical repairs, couldn't have done it without you and saved me big bucks from the dealership.
Absolutely great video, Goes directly to the nuts and bolts of things. I f I could add one thing always check to see if the light is going to work before putting everything back together. I really like how you go directly to the instructions without a lot of dialog first. Thanks
We live in a great age. I knew the passenger side had moderate annoyance to change. “Sierra passenger headlight” boom there’s your video. Thanks so much!
Thanks VERY much for this Instructional video! I'm older now and used to do some work on my own vehicles years ago. Mostly 60's, 70's cars. Since I started owning newer vehicles (2015 Sierra), I said to myself I'd leave it to the dealership to do this stuff. But, this I can do!
Crazy what it takes to change a lightbulb.... didn't we used to joke about how many people it took to change a lightbulb? haha Now we need to pay $150 per hour for the dealer to do it!
Well done on the video. Easy to follow! One small request would be a side by side comparison on what those gp bulbs look like against the factory ones. I think my sierra has factory HIDs which I'll be changing soon for a whiter light
Great video Mark.Just FYI some Sierra Models specifically DELANI’s 2016 and up needs to remove the negative battery terminal before disconnecting headlights only. Also before reassembly turn them on ,to make sure it works.
Hey Mark! I’m new to your channel, seeing how I just came across it. I have to say that, by far you have given the very best step x step and most detailed video on how to remove the air box, changing out the headlight bulb and replacing everything. Nicely done man! I’m a new subscriber and huge thumbs up bc of this video alone. I was wondering if you have videos where you also show awesome step x step and very detailed videos like this one but on; Fog lights for your truck here and also the reverse/backup white tail lights? How to safely, and properly on how to remove fog lights, tail lights without breaking any parts? If so, please direct me and pls keep these awesome videos coming. Thanks again. ✌🏼🙏🏼🤙🏼
The rectangular hole on the right is where you can reach in and remove the socket assembly from the lens. Remove the bulb, insert the new one and reassemble the air filter housing assembly.
Great video! These are kind of a pain to get to. I wanted to ask if there is a way to adjust the headlights left and right? I was reading somewhere that if the high beam/low beam mechanism gets stuck, it can cut into the light's path...
Perfect! Pretty much exactly like my 2012 GMC but just wanted to see if there were any new hints on the 2014. You cover everything in detail and I'll have those new LED bulbs installed in no time!
Replace the stock air box with a K&N cold air, and you won't need to remove it next time!!!I did and what a difference, try it you'll like it!!!!!!!!!!
Need a video on changing the amber running/ blinker bulb. I’m thinking the entire head light has to be removed to change that one. Let me know please. “15” gmc 3500hd
Do you happen to have a link to those push button things that hold that cover over the lights dust cover? Video was very informative and was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks Mark!
I see why you skipped videoing while taking off the second grommet. Biggest pain in the a%$ of the whole process. Hats off to the mental midgets who designed this contraption.
You know I would have been real helpful if you showed the front of the truck so that way we could match it up two hours and figure out if this is the way ours works or not considering a bunch of videos that I've had said that they're the year at that I have and they are totally different
the goal is to make it so you have to take it in to do everything, surprised we can still put windshield washer fluid it without going to the dealer. the headlight B.S. is even worse with my 2014 GMC 2500 Duramax the GMC will draw first blood.
Those bulbs suck, should have bought 7000k LEDS, I'll give you the two pairs I bought and took back off....Also should use some dielectric grease in the connections, and the O ring, for next time...Seeing you bought those shitty HIDS you will be changing them again soon!!!!!!

This video is perfect. I wish every DIY video was this informative and concise at the same time.
Ok I took out the engine. Now what?
Best DIY videos on TH-cam , thank you Mr Jenkins. saved me an hours labor at the garage. We need more Jenkins how to videos. 😀
Thanks for the help from a below average guy when it comes to mechanical repairs, couldn't have done it without you and saved me big bucks from the dealership.
I will call it. Easy-ish. Thank you for the instructions, got mine replaced.
You're welcome!
worked great for me!... also had a 2015 but practically the same setup! thank you sir!
Absolutely great video, Goes directly to the nuts and bolts of things. I f I could add one thing always check to see if the light is going to work before putting everything back together. I really like how you go directly to the instructions without a lot of dialog first. Thanks

2:00 mark was what I need, thanks man. I'm always hesitant to just yank on stuff.
Very helpful 👌. Thank God for youtube
Omg thank you! This helped me save so much! I have a Denali so I also get a luxury’s charge
Glad it helped!
Very good explanation! Kept them coming in layman’s terms!! Thank you!!
How do you get to the orange daylight running bulb? Signal light is still working but not the bulb that would usually stay on full time.
Well done on the video. Easy to follow! One small request would be a side by side comparison on what those gp bulbs look like against the factory ones. I think my sierra has factory HIDs which I'll be changing soon for a whiter light
Thank you for your help! Yes, the driver side is accessible, so I didn’t have any idea how to get to the passenger side! Thank you for the video.
You're a bad son of a like that really awesome 👍
Thanks to you we have a new headlight! This is the first time we’ve ever worked on our vehicle! Wow! Thank you!
Thank you very much, it was very helpful
Wish I had watched this first. Thanks!
Great video Mark.Just FYI some Sierra Models specifically DELANI’s 2016 and up needs to remove the negative battery terminal before disconnecting headlights only. Also before reassembly turn them on ,to make sure it works.
So helpful...spot on for my 2015 GMC Sierra SLT. THANKS
I use disposable vinyl gloves when installing the new bulb...this way I avoid getting my fingerprints on the bulb...

I am looking for the same thing! Although I can honestly say I have not crawled under the truck to see how easily accessible the fog lights are.

Thanks for your help. Great video
Thank you! Great video.
What about changing the parking amber bulb? Mine went out and I’m going to buy one thanks !!
The rectangular hole on the right is where you can reach in and remove the socket assembly from the lens.
Remove the bulb, insert the new one and reassemble the air filter housing assembly.
found this video to be very helpful thanks
great help, clip well-done, thank you.
Great video!! I followed it exactly no problem easy thanks!
Great video! These are kind of a pain to get to. I wanted to ask if there is a way to adjust the headlights left and right? I was reading somewhere that if the high beam/low beam mechanism gets stuck, it can cut into the light's path...
Awesome video! Very detailed and made it super easy. Thanks
Mark i found your video a wonderful help, i appreciate it
Perfect! Pretty much exactly like my 2012 GMC but just wanted to see if there were any new hints on the 2014. You cover everything in detail and I'll have those new LED bulbs installed in no time!
Thanks for the video. Very good, but wow what a pain in the ass for a headlight
It’s GM. Much like the government, everything is needlessly complicated and takes forever.
@@razorgxp Must be all that government money (I mean our tax dollars) they took a while back, forced them to convert!
Replace the stock air box with a K&N cold air, and you won't need to remove it next time!!!I did and what a difference, try it you'll like it!!!!!!!!!!
Replacing the air box will void the warrantee.Don't modify your engine until after all warrantees are expired.
It makes more sucking noises and that’s about it
Can you do a video on replacing the side marker?
Now. This is a good video. Thanks
Need a video on changing the amber running/ blinker bulb. I’m thinking the entire head light has to be removed to change that one. Let me know please. “15” gmc 3500hd
Changed it this weekend, grill , lower headlight trim and headlight had to be removed to get to the blinker bulb good times.
Uh wait I got one of headlights that isn't turning on the yellow lights on the side. Does that mean I gotta get new headlights?
Thankyou!
Very good
Thanks, took care of work truck
Same lol
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the help...
Just changed mine thanks a lot for your help. :)
thank you thats helped alot !
Do you happen to have a link to those push button things that hold that cover over the lights dust cover? Video was very informative and was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks Mark!
Good refresher.
Great video learned allot..
Thank you
I see why you skipped videoing while taking off the second grommet. Biggest pain in the a%$ of the whole process. Hats off to the mental midgets who designed this contraption.
I was able to just loosen the clamp on the connection tube and swing the whole box up out of the way
same here!
Thank u ...very helpful video...🙏🙏👏👏👍👍👍
Every other video I watched it takes a 9005 or H11 bulb?
Did you have a large cover over the radiator that needed removal first?
Have a link for those grommets?
Thanks, i thought it was going to be a big ordeal.
Mine is an 18 sierra with HID lights. How do I do that?
If I buy a lightbulb that says low beam only do I lose high beam??
Yes
You know I would have been real helpful if you showed the front of the truck so that way we could match it up two hours and figure out if this is the way ours works or not considering a bunch of videos that I've had said that they're the year at that I have and they are totally different
Could not figure out how to remove the air filter housing
Can you just swap the bulbs? Or do you need a relay also?
Thanks!!!!
How about a 2018
HOW TO REPLACEMENT ON LEFT SIDE
Even easier without anything in the way. Start with removing cap and bulb. Replace bulb. Replace cap. Your done
I thought as much. The owner manual gives quick access to the driver side. Then it says "for passenger side, take to dealership" WTF
the goal is to make it so you have to take it in to do everything, surprised we can still put windshield washer fluid it without going to the dealer. the headlight B.S. is even worse with my 2014 GMC 2500 Duramax
the GMC will draw first blood.
drivers side please anyone with a pea for a brain can do the pass side
Those bulbs suck, should have bought 7000k LEDS, I'll give you the two pairs I bought and took back off....Also should use some dielectric grease in the connections, and the O ring, for next time...Seeing you bought those shitty HIDS you will be changing them again soon!!!!!!
Well done. Very helpful. TRUMP 2020
