you can adjust where the parking spot is using arrows, also you can change whether you want to park forward or backward in the advanced park menu where it says park direction (or something like that). I have done both perpendicular and parallel parking with this. The parallel parking assist is a bit more complicated as you have to be right next to the spot. I love your videos by the way!
I agree with the slowness of the parking. My wife parks on our driveway rather than parallel parking by our front door because she "doesn't have enough room" in the parking space. The space was put in by our city to allow me to park a 23-1/2' dually pickup. I told her that her Prius would park it for her. She won't. So, we wasted $10k on all this extra electronic crap on the Prius that she will never use.
...and in the second attempt that was actually "exit parking space" mode with arrows to chose direction to exit (that is why in the end it wrote, press accelerator to finish, which would be weird for "parking mode")
Hi mate, do you need to change between drive and reverse by yourself if necessary or the car can do this for you?...just asking because I know that at least till the generation before the car could park for you but, if necessary to change it was necessary to be done manually...tks.
Yep, too many videos testing this on an empty lot. So far I have the impression if parking space is tight, it will give up. Actually thats exactly the kind of scenario where you need help. Children can park on an empty lot...
when you pressed the P button and you had 2 P's on your screen, does that mean you can touch the screen to choose what parking bay you want if so that's a cool gadget 😂
Yes - and you can push the "park forward" button so it switches to backward parking. Additionally you can program a very specific parking space - e.g. some place in your yard that could be used as well.
I have a 2019 Prius Limited. On parking at Lowes, u pull up broadside, push your parking switch TWICE for parallel parking. NOW, if your parking on a street, u push button once. I've had my car new since 2019 & have yet to try it. 😂🤣🇺🇸 THATS the way MINE works.
You can change whether you back in or pull in forward.
You can also select parallel park.

Never thought I would say a Prius has a cool line
in the first attempt it actually parked exactly on the chosen spot 😀 - see the time 1:47 of the video
Yeah, he was in between parking spots in the beginning lol

Aloha Rob 🎉😊😮❤. The technologies for the Prius are unreal as the parking features are okay. Nice video Rob. I'd use this sparingly.

Thats really cool. I wonder how it works trying to park around other cars.
That might be a bit scary😬

I have used this feature from other brands like SEAT in a very thight spaces and it does it perfect@@TimEndzeit
U NEED TO LOOK AT THE RIGHT SCREEN TO CHECK THE PARKING SPACE BEFORE U HIT START....IM WATCHING THIS AND ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY
I bet it's a short trip! 😂
Just to let you know to back in park you press the button on left of the start when your in the auto park mode.
Thanks for the tip👍

Try it around other cars and see what happens 😂
Lol! I’m not sure I’m that daring😂
I could of had half my shopping done by now...
I wonder what would happen if you had your arm through the steering wheel spokes ?
It’s definitely not the fastest thing!!
Try it with shopping carts; would it inform you to get out of car and move them?
Good question 🤔
I think you should be able to park remotely as well....at least the EU versions allow to do that.
I agree👍
@@robmotivetoo Could you make a video on such feature? thanks!
I don’t have remote park.
😂
