Thank you for talking through this. I have a few questions. Does it vibrate or otherwise make sound over bumps or when driving 80mph? How does it impact visibility through the rear window? Do you see it in your rear view mirror or if you turn to look behind you?

Did you use an adhesive to get the trim back on? I had the back end of that trim come when installing a vent glass and it won’t just pop back on. Thanks!

Curious why your Prius Prime says PHEV in back. i thought Toyota started the rebranding PHEV on 2025 model and that prior model display Prime instead. weird that you car say PHEV

With Honda's especially, it's important to also smell the dipstick to determine if oil dilution is getting advanced. If so, the dipstick will smell "gassy".

In you case, you still can remove that foam. But you make fiberglass glass shell put on it. And further, you can cover those cable with plastic or wood frame to protect any impact in case in collision. So that you have space to put your stuff inside that space. Toyota Prius just want to save cost. Not build some cargo to make it more useful. Very lazy.

I had a weird 'rattle' to my truck. Couldn't tell whether it was a suspension issue or maybe the tonneau cover mechanism rattling? During a service the dealer actually figured it out. It was my bull rings. He used painter's tape to hold them down hard and the rattle is gone. Wonder if every brand of these to that for everyone? Seems like they'd do something about it if they did. Meanwhile I have 4 big pieces of lime green tape at the four corners of my bed. Ah well. Better than the rattle!

Ummm, I guess if you don’t put things in the bed, like motorcycles or jet skis the Santa Cruz is fine. I guess you have to stick to golf! Btw- the Maverick is much more competitive to the Tacoma’s bed dimensions so why didn’t you include it I wonder…

I own 3 prius, 13,20,22. I was well aware of the redesign coming in 2023 and got on a waiting list for the new model. I watched videos of the car and heard the good and the bad about the car. Finally got to see one in person and it was a total disappointment. What a piece of crap. First and foremost its too hard to get in and out of because the "A" pillar is too steep. I am 5'9'. 190lbs. The interior is smaller, more cramped and just feels cheap compared to the the previous model. Stupid ipad infotainment center glued to the dashboard. Guage cluster too hard to see due to placement right behind the steering wheel. Less cargo space. Rear door handle verticle placement on the "C" pillar. I appreciate the improvement in performance but they should have put the new engine in the old style design. IMO Toyota screwed up the prius. So now I'm in the market for a low miles 2022 prius. Thanks for reading.

The first four 'tips' should not even be in this list. Those four items have been available or cars for the last 50 years. It's not a trick or a tip if everyone knows about it.

The method you suggest (which seems perfectly logical) to add a Home destination for navigation in a new Prius does not work for me or for the dozens (tens, hundreds, zillions... ) of folks asking the same question. My personal information-including home address-is in the app. But the car does not see it. Most responders on TH-cam and via Google say the correct method is to first tap the Find icon in app, select Destinations, choose Home, enter an address, and hit Search. Once your address is "found," that should be it. (Or you may have to choose "Send to Car".) But literally nothing happens when I (and many others) hit Done or Search while looking at that entered address. (One responder, whom I can't find again, said the process worked after clearing ALL owner data out the car and app and starting over. I haven't tried that yet.) When I ask Hey Toyota to go Home, she admonishes me to set a Home destination. Gee, I tried. All that said, I am otherwise thoroughly enjoying my new Prius Prime. What a great car!
