Is it the SKYFALL movie spot?
I think so!
I wondered the same. I think the extra paving done in the turn-around zone might be new (or at least I don't remember it from the film).
It is indeed. Glen Etive to be specific.
The fresh tarmac is due to the number of people driving there due to its inclusion in Skyfall.
It has become such an issue there is rumours of putting restrictions in place. What these will consist of, no one has indicated.
Absolutely loved the skyfall representation at the end great job
The boot is actually bigger than the previous PHEV model. So, what he said in incorrect if he's comparing it to the previous PHEV and not the HEV model.
We gotta see this car in racing games asap 😅
Could be in the next Forza Horizon, knowing their track record of inserting non-race oriented cars in the mix
Or the next Gran Turismo 😂
No game developer would want to simulate the very complex software controls that govern this hybrid system.
The Stig!! I know it's not the most popular statement. But I'm from the states and I loved top gear USA. Shouts to Tanner and Rutledge and Adam!! Miss you guys
Out of all the unexpected things that I had to witness after 2020's, the only thing that never disappointed is being able to see a Prius on a racetrack going sideways
Faster to 60 than my old Celica T Sport. And more mpg. lol
9:15 God, we're gettin sick nasty drum and bass on Top Gear now? What a time to be alive!
Good presentation TopGear!
It was a good thing the Stig doesn’t have luggages. The luggage compartment is hopeless.
I don’t think taxi drivers would actually care about the lack of room anymore. Over the past few years taxi drivers seem to be using smaller and smaller cars E.g. Seat Leon Estate, VW Golf Estate, Toyota CR-V etc etc
Prius had a mad glowup. It worked out and internally/externally shined.
Fun video, nice to see Stig. That yellow color is great!
I hope it's sold in Scotland and Wales as well as England, Tom.
No refueling that far? Thats impressive!
Of course, there's no headroom in the back, but most people don't have helmets.
If you're 6'-2" or shorter, you're fine in the rear seat.
With that distance, why no mention of its range?
Amazing car! I would love to own THIS Prius! Never thought I would say this.
You always bring something unique to the table, can't get enough!
Bot.
Where does this yellow exterior color come from and is it possible to get? I see it all over the web but it doesn't appear to actually be produced.
Some say Stig is still walking somewhere in Scotland
7:37 wrong way round, everyone gets "B" mode wrong. In D, there is no engine braking, purely regen. In B, engine braking is re-activated. Helps add extra coast-braking on long descents at the expense of efficiency.
Does it have independent rear suspension?
I notice towards the end of the video he bumps the key fob to unlock the car door before getting in. My gen3 2010 unlocks the second I put my hand around the door handle to pull it open without ever needing to pull my keys out of my pocket and I never realized how much I love that 1 feature a out this car until I had it. The door also locks pretty much the same way when getting out. Does Toyota still use this?
Love the show mate .. you are doing a great job
I see they are consistent in placing the volume knob for the stereo on the wrong side of the head unit.
Think i saw a video where they just changed the tires and it did way better on the track.
isn't the prius is eCVT? why would he said CVT gear box?
Yes, eCVT with the mechanical gearing completely fixed and as bulletproof as a differential. No resemblance to a CVT, except that by the computer changing the ratio of motor rpm to engine rpm, the effective gear ratio between engine and wheels can be continuously varied. Only in that sense is it a CVT, but definitely not in the sense of having the very non-bulletproof internals of any conventional CVT.
Cannot believe how slick the new prius looks.
Yay stig is back ❤
Why is the rear seat passangers head hitting the roof? Is that a safe situation?
Wait how did you get it to drift? Does it actually let you turn the traction control all the way off?!
Yeah it does if you hold the button while stationary
Yup, it does.
Lovin the Irish plates
0:31 that explains why you dont see yellow priuses in the US sadly even though it is my favorite color and I have one of those at home
Will there be a Prius Prime taken out on the track?
Please make more content like this! Always love seeing wookie. What is this sorcery? You are making me desire a prius?
Most current Prius drivers couldn't handle a shopping trolly.. maybe this new model on track video might help them improve?
Credit where credit is due, well done Toyota, and I never thought I would ever say that
