Wonderful to Finally see a bathroom mirror with cabinet storage behind it! 👍 I think you're the first one to use that, Christopher. I'd still want a washer And dryer, no combo, and at least two drawers in the kitchen. Love the back porch! 😊

Lovely home. Could be a bit of a problem walking downstairs, in the middle of the night when tired, to use the toilet. Love the airy bedroom.

Where do you put your outdoor clothing when you walk inside the house?
Is it an American thing NOT to have a hanging space for jackets, shoes, boots, hats, umbrellas etc?
    Please explain to me.

A very cute 400sq ft home that has a lot of potential - and few things that I liked and few that I did not, or at least not so much:
    1. loved that the main entry way does not have a chair, table or other obstacle right as you get in the house - I see that on almost all tiny homes designs and it absolutely puzzles me on so many levels ... it is impractical and no one will ever have one in from of a door so why design a home with it? .... and it looks like you wanted a chair/ottoman, maybe a left over from the prior 'bigger home' but had no idea where to put it so it got put in front of the main entrance door! .... to me, this 'thing' in front of the main entrance that many designers have makes me question some basic esthetics that so many lack and it looks stupid but, I will be nice and settle to 'it makes no sense' ....
    2. loved that you actually have a place for a TV opposite the couch .... many tiny designs overlook that too .... no idea why
    3. loved the 'fire place' ... maybe a would push it a bit up and add some shelves under .... and an A/C way above? .... a 400sq ft home will get very hot in the summer
    4. loved the kitchen but not sure a full size dishwasher is the best choice .... uses a lot of space for a very limited use as the most number of people you can have living in a 400sq ft home is a couple ... not that many dishes ....
    5. loved the back door but back to the kitchen .... I will go for a full size refrigerator
6.loved that the 'fire place' wall is solid so it can accommodate a car port or a garage with access to the house via the back porch
    7. washer/drier combo under the stairs .... not practical or esthetical pleasing - that space is perfect for out of season storage
    8. downstairs bathroom space can be better utilized: will be more practical to make that as a 'guest bathroom' (sink & toilet) and 'laundry room' combo - practical and private as not that many will want to do their 'dirty laundry' in public! - use the space gained when eliminating the 'shower' and to add storage for the entrance/living area and for the 'laundry' - no one will parade coming out of the shower while someone else is cooking, watching TV and enjoying a glass a wine ....
    9. nice upstairs loft bedroom but needs re-configuration .... add a small 'ensuite' on top of the 'guest bathroom' for easy plumbing - an ensuite will make it very practical, convenient, intimate and private - in the reconfig, add a tiny desk ... yes, in my opinion a bit of reconfiguration can add privacy, intimacy, practicality, better closet and storage space and a separate study/work desk area
The bottom line, is one of the nicest tiny homes that I've seen on YT - very appealing exterior design and the interior has tons of potential to make it perfect for a resident or resident couple .... congrats! ....

Cool house! Planning a house right now myself and want to visualise it better before building. What software did you use for this one?

    • @avncottage
      @avncottage  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Sketchup 2024 ^^ For create Model, D5+ Ens for making 3D animation and Capcut for editing video.

@@avncottage Awesome! I know my way around Sketchup a bit, so glad do not have to learn new software. Found D5 - I assume that does the redering for the house, right? And "Ens" = Enscape for the nature around it?

      @@Ivan-zw8jn yes, Enscape ^^
