Lightly scrolled and haven't seen this question, when can I expect to have details for an opened US account? I read that it's on pause currently. I opened a GBP as the workaround. Thanks!
Hi Richard. Yes, you can still receive USD via Swift (international wire) transfers using your GBP account details in the meantime. To avoid any conversion fees, clarify with the sender bank that you want to receive the money in USD. More info here: wi.se/gbpdetails At this time, we don't have an exact date, but we're working hard to bring this back as soon as possible. Be sure to join the waitlist, and we'll let you know as soon as we have any updates on our USD details. We appreciate your patience. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us here: wi.se/contactus or DM us on Instagram, Facebook, or X.

Hi I have a question, for example I opened 3 accounts in my wise app- Singapore, New Zealand and Philippines then I travelled to Singapore from NZ to shop and eat using wisecard. Will the card automatically deduct my expenses using the Singapore account or do I need to setup anything to avoid using the other accounts NZ and the Ph accounts?if that makes sense. Thank you😊
Hey there. We'll always deduct your money from the currency in which you're spending in. Which means, if you're in Singapore, and spending in SGD, we'll deduct from your SGD account. However, if you have insufficient funds there, our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee: wi.se/smartconversiontech_ We hope this clarifies. Let us know if you have more questions.
Hi, Mehran! We do have this feature - our ATM withdrawal limits depend on where your card was issued. Check here for more details 👉 wi.se/wisedebitcardlimits You can also see how to change the limits here 👉 wi.se/changecardlimit
I have a question: virtual wise card- it originally I have money in Euros & I am visiting America then do I need to covert from euros to dollar so that I can use my virtual card ?? I don’t want to pay more fees on multiple swap so what would be best way to use virtual card for multiple currencies
Hey, there! Thanks for reaching out. Hi there I've opened wise, however the USD account details is still not available. What can I do if I want to transfer USD from my bank account to my wise account? When is the USD account details available?
Hi, there! We've temporarily stopped issuing USD account details to new personal Wise accounts. We're working to fix this as soon as possible. Meanwhile, if you need to transfer USD from your external account into your Wise balance, you can add money to it by following the steps on the section "Add money through Wise" here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances 🙂
Hi Joe. We’ve temporarily paused issuing new Wise cards to customers in the US, so you won’t be able to request a new digital or physical card at the moment. Launching cards for personal customers is a priority for our team and we're working hard to make this happen soon. Please sign up for our waitlist: wi.se/joincardwaitlist and we'll notify you once it's available for you. Thanks for understanding 💚
I ordered a wise card a year ago and have only now started learning about it as am heading overseas soon. Would I have set up a pin when I ordered? How do I know if I have a pin?
Hey, Jane! Normally, yes, you need to choose your PIN while ordering the card, unless you're residing in the US. If it's the latter, then you would be required to select the PIN after activation. In case you forgot your PIN, you can check it in your app: - Go to your Wise account. - If you’re on the website, go to Cards. If you’re on the app, go to Card. - Select Show PIN. - You may need to enter your Wise password, or use fingerprint or facial recognition, to check your PIN. If you have any additional questions, feel free to DM us via Instagram, Facebook or X. We'll be more than happy to assist you there 😊

Hey, Daniel. That's right - receiving money to your Wise account works just like a regular bank account. You just need to share the unique details with your employer to receive your pay. More about that here: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney_ 😊
Hey, Meggy. You can use your Wise card like any other bank card to withdraw money at ATMs around the world, you should be able to use it in Japan to withdraw money from an ATM in the JPY. For more info on how much it will cost to withdraw, check here: wi.se/withdrawalfees Alternatively, you can also spend directly from your Wise card as well. If you don’t have the currency you need in your account, you can still spend money. Our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee. For more info, check here: wi.se/smartconversiontech If this doesn't answer your question, feel free to DM us on Instagram, Twitter (x), or Facebook for more info. Or you contact us via email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus

Hey there! Great question, and the short answer is not necessarily. Only the sender needs to have a Wise account, and they'll need to enter their recipient's bank account details when they set up the transfer. Here's a useful guide to get started 👉 wi.se/howtosendmoney_
Can i deposit peso currency when opening up and multi currency account? Or it should really be in dollars i have trouble on using my master card and i need to wire it up and i dont have any dollar account yet
Hi, Jack! Currently, you can add money to your account in these currencies: AUD, BGN, BRL, CAD, CNY, CHF, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, HUF, IDR, JPY, MYR, NOK, NZD, PLN, RON, SEK, SGD, TRY and USD. There are some restrictions in some of them, so make sure to check here for details: wi.se/balancecurrencies This means that, if you're not in one of the countries where those currencies belong to, you might be able to top up your balances using SWIFT: wi.se/swiftpayments
Hello there. You should be able to get account details in NOK if you live in Romania. You can check which account details you can get here: wi.se/balancecurrencies Also, a quick article about getting account details here: wi.se/getbankdetails Feel free to call or email us if you have any questions here: wi.se/contactus We're happy to have you with us 💚
HI i was wondering how do i add money to get account details because im from Ethiopia and i don't think there are payment methods, thank you for your time.
Hi there 👋 Currently we don't offer that feature just yet in Ethiopia, as we'd like to expand, hopefully we'll be there in the future. Regions where balances are available: wi.se/balanceavailability
This won't be possible either; you can get account details only if your current address is in the country where we support, and you'll need to top up your balance yourself. If you have more questions, feel free to reach out to us on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook and PM us. And this is our contact link: wi.se/contactus
Hey there 👋 We can't accept cash payments directly. Alternatively, if the ATM accepts cash, then you can add it from there to your local bank account and then make a transfer from your local bank to Wise.
I'm UK NI resident (with a UK bank account of course); but also have an Irish, EUR, AIB, bank account, earning NO interest. How can I transfer Euros from that AIB account, to a Wise account, with no, or minimal charges, to be able to earn Euro interest, while still being able to access those Euro funds, it / when I need to?
Hey there. Thanks for your interest 😉 With us, you can send money abroad, receive and add money into your account in other currencies, and spend overseas with our card when you need to. See the tips to get started with Wise: wi.se/tipstogetstarted To add EUR directly into your account, you can sign up for our multi-currency account and get a EUR balance: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances And check out this guide on what happens when you switch to Interest: wi.se/usingwise-interest If you have more questions, feel free to reach out to us on Instagram, X, or Facebook and PM us.
Hey, Jason. Your card will your Wise account's balance to complete transactions- and if you don't have enough of a currency to complete a transfer, our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert available funds for you. You can read more on that here: wi.se/smartconversiontech if you have any questions, please feel free to DM any of our social media pages, or reach out here: wi.se/directcontactus we'd love to help.
Hi, i have a UK bank account and receive a monthly pension into it, gbp. If im going to live in Vietnam for 6 months is it easier or cheaper to ask my UK bank to convert gbp to Vietnamese dong and then transfer it to my Wise account or simply transfer it myself gbp to gbp in to my wise account then convert it to vnd within Wise? So i can then use Vietnamese atm's? Thanks
Hi, Dave. It sounds like you want add money to your VND balance. There are two ways you can go about this. Firstly, you can add money to your VND balance, and pay it in GBP. That way, we'll do the conversion for you without any hidden fees before adding it to your balance. Or, you can add GBP directly to your GBP balance, and convert to VND balance at your convenience. Here's how to add money to balances: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances, and convert money within balances: wi.se/moneyconversion. Just a note that when you move residences, you'll need to change the address on your account with us. Since this sounds to be temporary, you should be able to continue using your account with your current address. But, if this a permanent move, you can change your address by following the steps here: wi.se/editdetails. However, know that our balance feature isn't available in Vietnam. So, you would no longer be able to add/convert/receive money once the address change's made to an ineligible region.
Hey there. We do offer our services in Turkey. You can send money with us. Learn more here: wi.se/howtosendmoney However, not all of our features are available everywhere. At this time, our balances aren't offered in Turkey. This means you won't be able to add, hold and receive money directly into your account. Learn more here: wi.se/balanceavailability We're working to expand where our features are offered. If anything changes, we'll update our website, so please keep an eye out. If you have any other questions, please DM us on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter). You can also call or email us here: wi.se/directcontactus

It seems I cannot use my Wise balance (in Euros) to add money to (say) my Wise CAD account but only another credit/debit card or a bank account. Is this correct? 😕
Hey, Brian. Since you have EUR in your Wise account, instead of adding money to your CAD account, you can convert your EUR to CAD by following these steps: wi.se/moneyconversion Give it a try and let us know how it goes 😉 If you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
Hey, there! Like we said before, we don't accept cash payments, and we don't offer any in-person services since our services are fully digital 🙂 If you have any other questions, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.
Not exactly Kojo. But, we'll always use the real mid-market exchange, so you don't have to worry about any hidden markups with us 😉 This is the rate that you'll find on Google or Reuters, for example. Every transfer comes with a fee to cover our operational costs, which you can find here: wi.se/pricecalculator. As each transfer is unique, the conversion rate is dependent on different factors, such as payment methods, currencies involved etc.
I live in Canada. Before traveling in Europe, I will add WISE to the Apple Pay. On my WISE, I have both Canada and Europe accounts open with money. When using Apple Pay in Europe, how does Apple Pay know that I want to use the Europe account to pay and not the Canada account?
Hey there, Bernard. With our Smart Conversion technology, when you use your Wise card to pay for a purchase in Europe, even with Apple Pay, the money will be taken out in the local currency. That'd be EUR in this case. If, for some reason, you don't have any local currency in your account at that time, we'll automatically take money from the currency with the lowest conversion rate. See more here: wi.se/smartconversiontech Please reach us via DM on our other social channels (Facebook, X, or Instagram) if you need more help. We're here for you 😊
Hi 👋 Yes, you'd be able to use the digital card during your travels. Just like our physical card, the digital card lets you spend money around the world with low conversion fees. For more info, check this out: wi.se/digital_card_info
Hey, Jordon! We're glad a lot of people use Wise in Jamaica. At the moment, we don't offer cards there, but we're always looking forward to expanding this feature. Hi, I have some USD dollars in my Preply wallet, I have opened Wise USD account and BHT account. I don't hold USD dollar bank account in local banks. Is it possible to withdrawal USD from my Preply wallet directly into Wise USD wallet, not converting to BHT and sending directly to my Thai Bank acccunt. Because today I was trying to withdrawal USD from my Preply wallet directly into Wise USD wallet, it says I need to add USD bank account details to receive USD in wise. I'm a bit confused. Thank you.
Hey, Jing 👋 You should be able to move money USD from your Preply Wallet to your Wise USD account. But yes, in this case, you'd need to have USD account details with us, so that you can receive the money. Check out this page for more info about receiving money into your Wise account and how to get account details: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney_ Once you receive your USD there, you can send it to your THB bank account in Thailand: wi.se/sendfrombalance_
Hi, there. Thanks for raising this to us! Currently, with the latest version of the app, there's no longer "Manage" tab from its main screen, instead, you'll see: Home, Card, Recipients and Payments. But you can still find "Manage" if you're logged in using a web browser. We hope this clarifies, and let us know if you have other questions. You can as well reach out to us via DM in IG, FB or X or contact us here: wi.se/contactus
Depending on where your account is based, you'll be able to open a balance by following this step-by-step process here: wi.se/open-balance or watch this short video: wi.se/openingabalance-yt-tutorial But first, check if your country/region is supported with this feature: wi.se/balanceavailability And as shared above, if you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
@@Wise done.all of it though. For country concern, ive checked accounts from people in the same city where i am in the Phils. Their dashboard looks same except for mine.. no add account..no add balance.. etc
Hey, Vincent! The card's connected directly to all your balances, so adding money to them will also make it available on the card 🙂 Just follow these steps here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances to make a top-up! And remember to activate the card before leaving the US: wi.se/activate to avoid issues.
Our balance feature hasn't reached Ghana, just yet. We're always working towards expanding further, but it can take time. If anything changes, we'll be sure to put out an announcement, as well as update our eligibility page 👉 wi.se/balanceavailability
Hey, there. Are you referring to the balance option, as per your other comment? If so, the available features depend on your registered address. We list out the countries where this isn't available yet here: wi.se/tw-open-balance If it's available in your location, you should be able to open balances in different currencies. Feel free to drop us a DM on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, so we can better look into this
Hey there. It should charge you in EUR automatically; however, since our card is multi-currency, sometimes shops, online stores, or ATMs might try to charge you more and offer you to pay in a different currency. So to avoid these hidden fees, make sure to always choose to be charged in the local currency of where ever you are. You can also check our Smart Conversion technology to see how we convert the balance for you with the lowest conversion fee in a currency that you don’t have in your account: wi.se/smart-conversion
Hi Shaik. Yes, you'll need a personal bank account to use Wise, as payments for your transfers need to come from a bank account under your own name. Here's a guide to send money: wi.se/howtosendmoney
I'm from the uk and will soon be going to thailand lets imagine i have put 100 pounds into wise and i go to an ATM in thailand will it allow me to withdraw money in thai considering i have 100gbp on my wise account? Or do i need to add the cash to thai cureency on wise and then i can withdraw?
Hey there! You'll be able to make withdrawals with your Wise card once you're in Thailand. If you don’t have Thai Baht in your account when you make the withdrawal, we'll automatically convert other currencies that you hold to complete your transaction. A small conversion fee applies, and we explain more here: wi.se/withdraw-fees
Hi. If you can't see the option to open a balance, then most likely, it's not supported for the region you're in. You can double-check it from here: wi.se/balanceavailability. If that's not the case, please contact us: wi.se/contactus or via Facebook/Instagram/X DM, and we'll look into it.
Hello, please advise whether a citizen of Mauritius can open a wise account and receive payments in USD? Are there any applicable fees when receiving funds? Also, when any accumulated funds are transferred from the wise account to a USD bank account in Mauritius, what are the applicable fees and charges? Thank you.
Hey, John. We currently don't support Wise balance account for Mauritius Residence. However, if your sender has an account with us, they can send money to your USD, EUR, or GBP account in Mauritius. Since those currencies aren't the standard currency for your country, the money can only be delivered via SWIFT. In this case, the money will go through different intermediary banks before reaching your account, and they take their own, separate fees - so you might get less than you intended. We don’t have control over when these fees are charged, or how much they are. Check out our transfer steps and currency guide for more info: 👉 Send money: wi.se/howtosendmoney_ 👉 Global USD: wi.se/sendingusdoutsidetheus_ 👉 Global EUR: wi.se/euroutsideofsepa_ 👉 Global GBP: wi.se/gbpoutsideoftheuk_
Hey, Angel 👋 Do you mean that you'd like to receive money in your EUR in your Wise account without having account details. It is possible if your sender has an account with us as well. So, it'll be a Wise to Wise transfer. First, you must enable your contacts on Wise so that other people can find you. Other people who know you can then sync their contacts, and you’ll show up in their Recipients. This is only possible for personal account holders. Check out this page for more info: wi.se/contact-sync-friends

Hey there. We’re always working on making all features of the Wise account available to more people and businesses in more regions. So, if your country is not on this list, you can't get account details to receive money: wi.se/balanceavailability You can only send with us at the moment: wi.se/howtosendmoney
Hey, there! Currently, personal Wise Accounts can not be used in joint names. We suggest your husband opens his own wise account for his personal use 😊 Here's the link for him to get started: wi.se/createaccount
Hi Good information and i have a question. I just got the Wise debit card. I lived in the United States and i’m always traveling to Egypt Cairo. I will need to withdraw in US $ only once, i’m there and i have no problem with Wise extra fees charging me. Is it possible to withdraw in US $ with my Wise debit card once, i’m in Egypt Cairo
Hey, there 👋 It's good to know that you've no problem with our fees, but we're really big on transparency. So we'd like you to know what they are exactly: wi.se/withdrawcashfees As for your question - ATMs will typically only allow you to withdraw in the local currency. But if you only have USD on your account and you withdraw EGP, our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the money for you at a low fee: wi.se/smart-conversion Hope that helps!
Hey there, Oyi. You do have the ability to close an account on your own, you can learn how to do this here: wi.se/howtocloseaccount. But, we'd be sad to see you go, so we'd like to further help. Hey, Mohammad 👋 We do work with small businesses: wi.se/allowedbusinesses So, you'd need to open a business account with us to do business transactions. It's against our customer agreement to use a personal account for business purposes. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions section 8.1: wi.se/customeragreement We'll have to close your account if you misuse our services. Check out this page to find out if business account is available in your region: wi.se/business-feature. If you have any more specific questions about business account, please reach out through email or call from here: wi.se/contactus. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
@wise and my next question is if I want to sign up for a personal account..... can I get paid from that account and can I also pay from the same account?
This can be because we currently don't offer opening balances if you're from Vietnam. We just haven't made it there just yet, hopefully in the future. Regions where our balances feature is available: wi.se/balanceavailability
Considering your account is registered in Vietnam, you could only receive this money into your local bank account - you'd need to check if they're able to operate with AUD.

Just one question. Imagine I open an account in the country where I am Living(India) and I am going to Portugal, I order the Card, can I use the Card to withdraw cash in any ATM in Portugal? Another question is: can I send money through Wise into a bank account I opened virtually (like I am in India and open an account in a Bank in Portugal virtually)? And what's the limit in the Card? Thanks for the Video
Hey Roger! We're glad you like our video! Our card eligibility depends on your country of residence, and it's not available to residents in India at the moment. Not to worry, we're working hard to expand this feature to more countries and we'll let you know if anything changes. As long as your virtual account has bank account details that we can accept, you can send money through us to that bank account. Can freelancers open a business account? I reside in India, so opening other currency account is not available to me, and I would really like to use Wise to recieve my salary from a US client. What can I do?
Hello! While freelancers do qualify for business accounts, at the moment, we don't offer that service in India. Every time a new product is introduced, we need to comply with certain regulations, and that can take some time. We'll announce any updates as soon as we have the news.

@@Wise Thank you for the response. Okay, but is there any alternative way that I can receive money? Because I need to receive money from my client in London. Thanks
We understand this is not ideal, but due to high demand, this feature won't be available to you in the Philippines. Your only alternative is to give your client your external local bank details to receive money from them. We're here if you have any other questions 🙂
Hi Carvel! As a new user, please make sure to check before if you can open a balance in your region 👉 wi.se/balanceavailability_ After that, to receive money in your Wise account, you'll need to get your own account details to share with your sender. Find out how to get your account details here: wi.se/getbankdetails_ and how to add money to your account at: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances_
Hi there. There are a couple of different ways you can add money to your Wise balances. Check out our step-by-step guide and payment options here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us here: wi.se/contactus or DM us on Instagram, X, or Facebook. We're happy to help.
Hey there. We appreciate your feedback, and we can see how showing more, and elaborating further on selecting the currency you're looking to receive into your account with us, would've clarified this matter to a greater extent. So allow me to hereby explain this process in greater detail, via a few key steps: - Open a balance in your account with us in the currency you're looking to receive: wi.se/open-balance-info - Activate the account details feature linked to the balance you've opened: wi.se/getbankdetails - From here on out, you'll have account details that third parties can use in order to send you payments directly into your account with us. Having said that, please bear in mind that it's not possible for you to receive payments in all currencies - so to see which currencies you'll be able to add, hold, and receive into your account with us, please have a look at our page here: wi.se/balancecurrencies We hope this explains things to an extent, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions or concerns. We'd be glad to assist you, naturally.
Hey there. To receive money directly into your account, you'll need to open balances first. The availability of our balances depends on your registered address. If you're located in India, our balances aren't offered to personal account. Learn more here: wi.se/balanceavailability You're able to send money, though. Check here for more info: wi.se/howtosendmoney We don't support the local currency in the Maldives. Instead, you can send EUR or GBP to the Maldives via SWIFT: wi.se/swiftpayments We hope this info helps, but feel free to DM us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or you can call/email us here: wi.se/directcontactus
Hi, there. It's possible to receive your tax refund using your Wise multi-currency account. Just provide your UK account details with them to receive the money in GBP (if that's the currency they're using too). No currency conversion needed - which means no fees or terrible exchange rates. We hope this helps. If you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
You're very welcome Gb, we completely understand your concern here. If you have any other specific questions please don't hesitate to reach out to us on our other social media platforms or via phone and email here: wi.se/contactus
I just created an account, I'm from the philippines and working from home, what do I need to do to receive my salary from my client in the US or around the world?
Hey, Ralph! You can find a general guide on how to receive money here: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney_ 🙂 just a couple of things of note: if you're looking to receive money from clients for freelance work then you'd need a business account, as we currently don't support business-related activity on personal profiles. Likewise, the account details feature isn't available quite everywhere. If you need any help setting things up, feel free to DM us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
No where does it say how to credit my Wise balance. I have successfully paid using my credit card but my bank charges me around 3% to make what they call a 'wire' transfer to Wise even though it is a simple electronic transfer. I want to pay to my Wise from my personal account and not use a credit card. I have the Wise account number for this but there is no place for a payment reference for me to add. Going overseas in 6 days and I think the Wise card will be useless.
Hi, Chris! By the looks of it, you want to add money to your Wise balances using your account details. You can check all the steps on how to add money into your account here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances - just keep in mind that account details are only available for certain currencies, you can check more info here: wi.se/balancecurrencies If anything remains unclear, feel free to contact us here: wi.se/contactus or via DM in our other social media channels 😉
Chris, just following-up on your previous issue, please note that depending on the currency you're paying (adding money) from, some payment methods might not be available. This is because we've different payment methods for different currencies. If you're referring to adding money via account details, then you should be able to transfer from your external bank account following the steps here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances Regarding the payment reference, if you're making a balance top-up using account details, payment reference isn't something we offer. If that's not what you're talking about, please clarify and we'll advise you. Any further questions or issues, don't hesitate to contact our other channels or DM on Facebook, X or Instagram!

Hey there! To open a Wise account for your US business, you'll need a US business registration. If you are based in Pakistan, and your business is too, you won't be able to open a business account with us for the time being. Are you allowed to withdraw your PayPal balance to your personal wise account? I don't have the option to open a business account. Currently there is a message to join waitlist. I don't want my account getting closed due to improper use.
Hi Tyreese! Yes, you're allowed to withdraw money from your own Paypal balance into your personal Wise account. Keep in mind that to receive money to your Wise account from others for business related activities, you would still need the business account. Since the business account isn't available in all countries/regions, joining the waitlist can keep you updated on any changes regarding that. In the meantime you can still withdraw from your own account without issue. If there's anything else, feel free to reach out ☺️
It could be that virtual currency accounts are currently not available in your country or region. If you don't see the option to open them, your account can only be used to send money. You won't be able to hold or receive money with your account. More info here: wi.se/balanceavailability_ 🔍

Once we can offer our services there, we'll make sure to make an update.
I just downloaded the wise app, but noticed there is no receive function. Can you help me what to do?
Hi, Sally 👋 You can receive money to your balances with us using your account details. However, just a note that this feature's only available in select regions. You can check out your eligibility, and how to get it here: wi.se/getbankdetails.
But, if you don't see this offered under your account, know that we're always working to expand to more locations. Till then, you can keep an eye on our social channels for future updates.
Hi, do you still offer virtual US accounts to residents of the UK at the moment? if yes, how long does it take to get verified?
Hey, Aminu!
We are able to offer USD balances and account details for personal customers in the UK, yes 🙂 To get started, be sure to check here: wi.se/getbankdetails
Generally verification can take around 0-2 working days, depending on the documents needed, though we'll always strive to get everything sorted ASAP. If you need help with this, be sure to reach out to us via PMs on our Facebook, Twitter/X or Instagram channels!
However, if you have insufficient funds there, our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee: wi.se/smartconversiontech_
We hope this clarifies. Let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks for asking this question! I wondered too! And thanks Wise for replying:)
What is the Daily Cash withdrawal limit from ATM machines? Or does it have this feature?

Hey, there! Thanks for reaching out.
You can either convert all the EUR you'd like to use beforehand and use just one conversion rate, or you can keep your EUR in your Wise account and our Smart Conversion will do this job for you in every transaction - we'll always convert for the best exchange rate, so you get the most for your money. Read more about Smart Conversion here: wi.se/smartconversiontech

When I am trying to create an account from the U.S. it says I can't get the wise card. Does that mean I can't get the debit card to travel with?
In case you forgot your PIN, you can check it in your app:
- Go to your Wise account.
- If you’re on the website, go to Cards. If you’re on the app, go to Card.
- Select Show PIN.
- You may need to enter your Wise password, or use fingerprint or facial recognition, to check your PIN.

Let’s say I’m going to Japan. Do I withdraw at an ATM for physical yen when I’m there?? Or can I do it before going??
Hey, Meggy.
You can use your Wise card like any other bank card to withdraw money at ATMs around the world, you should be able to use it in Japan to withdraw money from an ATM in the JPY. For more info on how much it will cost to withdraw, check here: wi.se/withdrawalfees
Alternatively, you can also spend directly from your Wise card as well. If you don’t have the currency you need in your account, you can still spend money.
Hi there, I'm in turkey and the option of opening a new account isn't available, is it because of my region?

However, not all of our features are available everywhere. At this time, our balances aren't offered in Turkey. This means you won't be able to add, hold and receive money directly into your account. Learn more here: wi.se/balanceavailability

Does wise update conversion rates with exchange rate movements?
See more here: wi.se/smartconversiontech
Please reach us via DM on our other social channels (Facebook, X, or Instagram) if you need more help. We're here for you 😊

If i have for exemple USD in my account i can pay with my card easly in europe with EURO?
Hey there. It should charge you in EUR automatically; however, since our card is multi-currency, sometimes shops, online stores, or ATMs might try to charge you more and offer you to pay in a different currency. So to avoid these hidden fees, make sure to always choose to be charged in the local currency of where ever you are.

How can a freelancer prove their income if they do not have the required documents you guys are asking for? I provided my bank statement as you asked, yet you are still holding onto MY money.
Thank you
Hi. We explain which documents we can accept here: wi.se/sow_, but if you don't have the needed ones, then unfortunately, we're unable to offer our services to you and we can't complete the payment.
Feel free to reach anytime: wi.se/contactus_, and we'll gladly help.
what if there is no option available here to open balance?
Hey, Data 👋 If you don't see any option to open balance, that means, this feature isn't available in your country of residence, just yet. Have a look here for more info: wi.se/whycantiopenawisebalance
Don't worry, though, we're always working on to make it available in more countries. You can still send money through us. Check out this page for more info: wi.se/howtosendmoney_
