You might move to some approved country for some time and prove your residency there. You don’t have to be a citizen for that. Also, you can use Wise without the card.

I have a question for you: my balance is in Euros (I live in Europe), well in the summer I will go to Mexico and Guatemala, I would like to ask you if I have to convert into Mexican pesos before leaving to be able to spend and pay online or to be able withdraw cash from ATMs? Or I leave the currency in euros and when I withdraw cash from the ATM the conversion takes place automatically. The same when I enter Guatemala. In short, you load your account before leaving and you can spend and withdraw cash all over the world without converting each time based on the country where you are travelling. I'm sorry I took a bit longer .... Awaiting an answer, best regards. Anthony
Hey Antonino! Thank you! The conversion will take place automatically from your main balance, so technically you don't have to convert it beforehand. However, I do prefer to convert the needed amount to have a greater control over my spendings in each currency. If at some point you converted not enough, Wise will use whole amount of converted currency and then get the rest from your unconverted EUR balance. So, you should be good in any way :)
