Just a tip to help your form ... when you’re doing lunges don’t bend whatever leg that’s in front of you so much that it goes passed your toes. It’ll put way too much pressure on your knees
Came to say the same thing exactly, I always try to make sure my knee doesn’t go past my ankle even - i.e. ensuring I’m staying at 90 degrees angle at the ankle (foot to calf) and at the knee (calf to upper leg). Going over/bending more is not good for your joints.

Hey hun! Love love loooove that you are getting into strength training again!! I really recommend you watch Whitney Simmons on youtube (she's a lot like that Natacha Océane that you like!), she's got incredibly informative videos (full workouts and talks about proper form) and has that toned booty look you are going for too! In terms of your workouts, when you are at the gym defs consider adding weight (even lots of it), I'm sure you're a lot stronger than you think you are! Strength training in of itself actually refers to a specific type of training with a certain amount of sets/reps at a weight that makes the last few reps nearly impossible. If you (or anyone else) is serious about getting toned, try to approach your workouts from that angle for sure! So proud of you for getting into this Kalyn! P.S. Try to bend your knees a little more during the single leg deadlifts (never locked!) - this way you should be able to feel it more in your hamstrings and it will work your glutes more too ;) Love you!
I agree. I learned a lot from whitney Simmons and nikki Blackketter. I've been going to the gym for about a year now and have really, really seen results and it all started from watching their videos and learning about lifting. Big tip that makes a difference with me is pushing through the heel and really feeling glute and hamstrings with the movement and like the above post says, proper form
So....I totally needed this. I've been trying to think of a way to incorporate strength training into my routine, but I just can't get into weights, and HIIT workouts kinda suck for me. My yoga game has been so strong lately; I have some lofty pose goals, so I worried about adding another type of workout. Like it would sorta ruin my flow, or something. DUDE, why did I not think of just...throwing it into my yoga? I'm sold. Now my boyfriend can stop throwing in "you should do some strength training to balance you out" comments out of nowhere. LOVE your videos! Keep doing the thing.

I love workouts that don't require any equipment. If you want to add some balance just stand on a folded towel for the single leg dead lifts. It will help with yoga poses and ankle strength. Also, astrology trip? That sounds awesome. I love that you take so many trips. Live your best life. Proud of you.
That's amazing! I'm going through the same phase as well! Everytime I feel the urge to smoke, I just remind myself what a nasty unnecessary habit it is, and how my hands, hair and clothes will be smelling so awful afterwards... I feel disgusted and the crave starts to cease... It was very hard at the beggining for me to stop (I've been trying to quit for a year 😂😭) but I find it is key not to disguise or put away the attention from the crave, but instead to rationalize it. think about how'd you feel if you actually smoked the cigarette and if is worth it. I hope it works, good luck 🤞!

Because I saw this video I started to work out. But I do not like gyms, since I look at other people and I feel... disconnected somehow. But watching you, your full humanity (I have read all the experts on fitness below haha) and it might not be perfect (in my eyes it is, since for me perfect means "I do it with all my heart", which you do!). Divine Grace Rafanan It’s pronounced Mall-deeves, just like you and the other commenters have said. I’ve never before in my life heard it pronounced the way Kalyn does! She has trouble pronouncing quite a few words, it’s so cute! When cooking, she is always getting corrected by Indian viewers because she pronounces so many of their native food ingredients wrong! 😄

I've been doing yoga - strenght training at home for a while, and it it great for all of us who are too lazy to actually go to the gym, and also looove yoga. Combining workouts and finding what you like to do is the key! :*
Yay!! Hopefully I can fix this insomnia phase I’m going through 🙄 so I can get a routine back! This fitness motivation is just what I need! (also anybody have insomnia tips please help haha. I know part of it is from anxiety but ugh the struggle)
The top 3 things that helped me cure my recent dip with insomnia -- lavender essential oil, going tech-free for an hour before bed and CBD to calm any racing thoughts, anxiety or body tension when laying down for bed!! Worst case scenario, I read until my eyes literally cannot stay open any longer! Hope you start getting that beauty rest again soon!
Highly suggest you get in exe4cise during the first 5 hours upon waking up! Sets up your hormines in the right way. I have a morning routine that may help on my channel.

I have a vanilla lavender candle but I just can’t seem to get my mind to shut up when I try to sleep 😕 It’s literarily tossing and turning and thoughts racing through my head. I know part of is it the anxiety of everyone keeps asking me “you’re done college, now what? Are you looking for a job?” And it’s just stressing me out 😣 But I definitely need to incorporate these into my life! And with all the money she’s making, she does seem to be living up on a pink cloud somewhere! I mean, almost $3K for a 7-night trip? Does she really think her mostly still-in-school/college audience can afford a seven-night holiday at that price? I am an experienced weight lifter but I have never done yoga and would love to give it a try! Can you do a beginner yoga video? Also, I really want to be able to do that yoga pose where its kind or like a headstand but you bent at the hips. xx
Even though I’m too unwell to ever be able to do anything like that kind of exercise again, I really love some of the names! Donkey Kicks especially had me laughing out loud - SO aptly named! And I really, really think you should rename the Knee Lifts as Male Dog Peeing. In that pose, you (or anyone else) look just like my boy puppy when he’s cocking his leg against a tree! 😄😄😄 x
ur basically just doing pilates if its strength based yoga like you kept saying throughout the video so if anyone else likes this styles of exercise but has a hard time working out alone like me lol i highly recommend trying pilates classes! they're so fun and really are effective i think!

I’ve been looking for more lavender things! I have a vanilla lavender candle but I just can’t seem to get my mind to shut up when I try to sleep 😕
It’s literarily tossing and turning and thoughts racing through my head. I know part of is it the anxiety of everyone keeps asking me “you’re done college, now what? Are you looking for a job?” And it’s just stressing me out 😣
But I definitely need to incorporate these into my life! Once I get my new journal in the mail that’ll help too so I don’t have to journal on my phone anymore.

I’ve become a little disappointed in Kalyn this year. She doesn’t seem to be listening to her fans nearly as much as before. Why so many endless fitness videos and extreme exercising on an empty stomach then eating next to nothing when she’s a big influencer of teenage girls and eating disorders are still on the rise? And with all the money she’s making, she does seem to be living up on a pink cloud somewhere! I mean, almost $3K for a 7-night trip? Does she really think her mostly still-in-school/college audience can afford a seven-night holiday at that price? And for most people, wouldn’t it be more like -

Even though I’m too unwell to ever be able to do anything like that kind of exercise again, I really love some of the names! Donkey Kicks especially had me laughing out loud - SO aptly named! And I really, really think you should rename the Knee Lifts as Male Dog Peeing. In that pose, you (or anyone else) look just like my boy puppy when he’s cocking his leg against a tree!

Haha, my instructor at the gym calls those knee lift exercises "Fire Hydrants" :D
ur basically just doing pilates if its strength based yoga like you kept saying throughout the video so if anyone else likes this styles of exercise but has a hard time working out alone like me lol i highly recommend trying pilates classes! they're so fun and really are effective i think!
