Also, be aware that sometimes the things that you need most from a meditation may come to you differently than expected. If your body needs lower REM time, meditation might be what brings you that. The daily streak thing, about forming your habits is so true! I'm trying to ease into veganism (just letting myself run out of what groceries I have, and not purposely buying non vegan food). And that streak is the only thing that's stopped me from getting mcdonalds on my way home from work. I also got inspired by you to start a planner. I've set time aside to fill in what needs done and it's done well for me so far.

Well, that’s all advice clicheés I’ve heard over the years that seem to work.

you should check out the app productive! you can create things you want to get into the habit of doing and pick the times of day you want to do them and how often, like daily weekly monthly...you develop streaks of how many habits you've achieved in a row. i have it and it's definitely motivating to continue doing whatever habit i have (like reading more) because i don't want there to be a break in my streak
could you do a like beginner's guide to working out? like how to create a workout routine; what to do for a warm up, how long, what kind of exercises to do and how many reps and a cool down? i'm so lost when it comes to making routines, i just find whatever exercises i see on pinterest and do that but i never know what to do for a cool down or warm up

I've had several New Years resolutions, some of them like eating healthier and working out more haven't worked out yet because I haven't had the opportunity since I've been busy but I've actually managed to keep my room tidy for a week (something rare for me) and write down in my journal everyday, I'm from England and my biggest goal this year is to travel to America and Canada! Since January 1st my family and I have been sticking to the Whole 30 cleanse really well and it's really hard but I have been sticking through it! It's a cleanse to get your body out of relying on sugar to give you energy, so it is no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, and nothing processed. (It isn't vegan though) I'm pretty happy with how I've started the year off so far!

When I started meditating I liked HeadSpace because it teaches you how to acknowledge your thoughts and move on but I eventually started to use the app called Calm, its really really good too.
The first week of the new year, I worked out 3x instead of 4x I wanted too, got my cleaning done, have also started meal making at home 4 days out of 3, and Journaled everyday ^.^ still need to get down trying to meditate everyday, but I concur that the first week of 2018 seems to be going well so far 💕

I love love love the app, the first couple sessions are to get you into the practice of meditation but the later sessions you can choose guided and unguided and how long you want to spend meditating! Kalyn, try the Insight Timer app. I use it to meditate - completely free and has meditations from multiple traditions (Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, New Age, Secular / Psychology based or just instrumental music) with new ones being added daily. So useful as you can usually find something to suit whatever mood you're in x

I prefer the Calm app versus Headspace. I prefer the guiders voice in Calm and it’s a much more relaxing meditation I find personally anyway 😊

My favorite meditation app is stop breathe think. It’s so good, I’ve been using it for about a year now. I love it for guided meditations
I stuck to all my habits this week! Apps that hold me accountable have been the best thing!
When I started meditating I liked HeadSpace because it teaches you how to acknowledge your thoughts and move on but I eventually started to use the app called Calm, its really really good too.
The first week of the new year, I worked out 3x instead of 4x I wanted too, got my cleaning done, have also started meal making at home 4 days out of 3, and Journaled everyday ^.^ still need to get down trying to meditate everyday, but I concur that the first week of 2018 seems to be going well so far 💕

hey Kayln, first, so happy to be watching this video while I drink tea before my first day back to college (last semester woop!), but anyway in regards to headspace. I love love love the app, the first couple sessions are to get you into the practice of meditation but the later sessions you can choose guided and unguided and how long you want to spend meditating! Definitely stick with it before you decide if it's for you or not! Love you to the moon and back~ khy

Kalyn, try the Insight Timer app. I use it to meditate - completely free and has meditations from multiple traditions (Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, New Age, Secular / Psychology based or just instrumental music) with new ones being added daily. So useful as you can usually find something to suit whatever mood you're in x
