    My question to you is, does Porsche or the dealership compensate you over and above the flat rate, for being so meticulous?
    From what I'm hearing about the industry and experiencing on the service level of my own car, it's all about getting the vehicle out as quickly as possible. With no regard to job quality.

      Ouch! That’s some expensive grease. I think I am going with Würth True Glide instead. Sorry about the torque. Didn’t see the setting.

      +Justin Hayward no drain in the bay, but there’s a drain in the center of the shop. I’ll either mop up the water or squeegee the water into the shop drain 👍🏻

    Nice work. What kind of grease you use for the strut mount? Heard some knocking noise from the front of my cayman during braking. Think maybe the strut mount grease is running dry. Thanks.

    Hi guys! I drive a Porsche Cayenne 3.0 diessel 2015. I have a problem when the weather is cold. A cold start during ignition raises the idle speed to 930 rpm and does not lower in any way. Only after 3-4 minutes I have to turn off the car and start it again in order for the engine to return to idle speed, of 700 rpm. The car goes perfectly and has covered mileage of 140,000 km. There is no fault codes detected in the diagnostics.

    So impressed the way you clean everything along the way. Is that normal with Porsche service or do you go above and beyond?

    • @PorscheTech

      +Glen Davis I would say that the extra effort I put in is not typical practice for most techs. That doesn’t mean they’re bad techs. I just prefer to go the extra mile for a comprehensive service. Thanks for watching.

    The way this guy does things is extremely rare. Most of the a@%holes that work at the dealership dont know about torque wrenches or being meticulous with their workmanship absolute waste of time taking your car to them. Rather do it myself at least i know its done right.

    Any idea what would cause a parking brake fault? I hear the passenger side motor take longer than the left. Sometimes they're simultaneous

    • @PorscheTech
      @PorscheTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      5150 5.0 I would need to see the fault code. But it could be a bad motor or it could be as simple as a calibration, hard to say. Thanks for watching.

    Great video! What kind of grease did you lubricate the glass roof tracks and the struts suports with?

    • @PorscheTech
      @PorscheTech  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mark Neville Thank you. For the roof I used Porsche’s recommended grease for all of their sliding roofs. Here’s the part number 000.043.303.39.
      For the upper strut mounts I used high pressure grease.
