I'll take apart both knob locks and show you the difference.
Then I'll show you how we can make the Kwikset lock as secure as the Schlage lock by changing the pins.

I like the idea of re-pinning the top pins for the Kwikset. The Schlage F series with the compressible cylinder to me seems like a built in failure opportunity. While I generally like the build quality of older Schlage locks, I’d probably go with Kwikset or a grade 2 or 3 cylindrical knob instead.

Most thieves use forced entry to break in. So pick whatever locks look nicest to you. Absolutely Schlage are more difficult to pick. But again 99% of thieves use forced entry. So it just doesn’t matter

If they force entry, you can see... it’s those that are less lockable that are important.

Bottom pins are the first step. The top pins also play a role in pick resistance. Wish you’ve shown the top pins in each brands.
