I bought the "Schlage" over 15 years ago. I don't need Bluetooth, motor or RFID because the more they put in there, the more can go wrong. I push the button, if purple, it's locked. If green, unlocked and turn knob and open. Now, this is the lock, but it's only as good as the door & frame. Between the door & house with trim removed. There is a jack stud running from the floor to the top of the door, not the ceiling. The king stud is longer and runs the bottom sill plate to the ceiling. This allows that wall to be held while the jack stud stops under the header plate as the height of the door changes. Doors, once size is determined, allows for frames to stop close to the top of the door. The measurement is the rough opening from side to side & top to bottom to allow the the door to be installed plumb and level, so now there's a gap. With small trim nails removed just on the lock side, this gap can be measured. Today's lock bolt pocket is deeper as the bolt is longer as these lock as a dead bolt rather than a simple door knob. The pocket can be drilled and chiseled to seat the supplied pocket. At this point, you have the ability to install a steel flat bar. Now after a measurement is made, holes drilled for 3" 3/4" long construction screws that may pass thru will add reinforcement to the jack and king studs with as long as a 2 foot length of 1" X 1/4" piece of mild steel. Place 2 screws above the lock pocket and 2 below. Once room is made for the pocket, the good ones have one hold in the bottom. If not, one can be drilled and screw installed. A good lock is only as good as the frame it's held by.
In this case, adding steel to internal framing members.

Just found your channel. Can you review the more expensive keyless entry locks?
The temptation is to think the more expensive is the more secure.
I'd be really curious to see whether they really are better.
