    I'm not one for negativity aye but I did Fraser island in 2012/2013 in a Toyota 4runner with a 2.8 N/A diesel only mods was alloy bullbar, roof basket, 2 inch body lift and 35x13.5 Maxxis Mudzillas which were on 70 percent tread. I ran 12psi in tyres and had not one issue on the island ever. I find it hard to watch these guys with no clue damaging the tracks on road pressures and full throttle. They shouldn't be allowed on any 4wd track acting like this. No clue what so ever, lol money and no brains.

    • @JGrandcourt
      @JGrandcourt 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In this stuff, even with an auto, you should go into manual mode and hold the gear. Despite some of the heroes driving here, it is isn't all about speed, but momentum. No point flogging it and then taking your foot off the go pedal if you are about to hit the holes. You need to ride through it.
      Some do it well, with the right tyre pressure, right gear and drive their vehicle (each one is different) to be in the sweet spot for torque, instead of being a hero, window down, arm on the side of the door showing off the tatts, ripping up the track thinking that they are at some mud trials, so the next punters have a harder time.
      I remember as a kid in the 80s, this hero driving this modded Ford Bronco V8 trying to speed up Cape Moreton when the track was all chopped up. Goes ballistic, gets stuck after 100m. And here we are in a little Suzuki 2 stroke putting past with a family of 4 with the gear. All about momentum. Mr Bronco never got up to see the view.

      Of course they do 'air down' the smart ones do. But Fraser Island is made of sand. Nothing but sand, fucking sand everywhere. And we are in drought. Meaning, the sand is as dry as a wooden god. Deep powder sand. Can be a challenge and a trap and entertaining, like this youtube channel. 👍
