Around the more populated areas you can have very young kids on the beach. Just on dusk I once came across a kid (maybe about 4yo) sitting in hole just above the waterline making sand pies. You might know, holes and drop offs on the beach are invisible right up until you get on top of them, especially at dusk. Parents weren't anywhere within a couple of hundred meters. It also happens around camping areas, the creeks etc. It's a shared area, and the parents are probably up in camp drinking beer and eating food. Reverse the situation for the moment, and think about if you had kids that had wandered back down to the beach. That's why there's no free ride for bikes.

Man that sucks bout the fine, thx for sharing tho, I get it important to control crazy drunks driven recklessly, but 58km/r on a dirt bike on the beach? No negligence or risk and over $400? Fk that. You’ve probz saved a bunch of newbies to Fraser some coin with this vid! Thank you 🙏
Try and go a few hours either side of low tide, that’ll make it a bit easier. Keep up the momentum and lean back a little. I am no professional though 😂
Such a dog move by that coppa and what a way to ruin a great trip for ya. I got done doing 93 (shitty day, left cruise control on and it creeped up etc) coming into the 80 zone after Deagon Deviation at Hornibrook (Ted Smout) bridge. Motorbike coppa vs my slightly modified car, I was always going to lose that.
Unfortunately, I’m just a bit too late to warn you about our banana-benders, Boys in Blue’s most favourite pastime Josh, ie, levying the ‘welcome to cane-toad country, Tax’ upon all of you visitors from down South, when you go over to Fraser Island. 😉😁 They’re stepping up their activities on Fraser lately because there have been quite a few incidents there over recent months involving di**heads driving 4WDs driving at crazy speeds on the beach and also ‘on the turps’ while driving, and so after a lot of public complaints and news reports, the Coppers finally decided to do something about it. Anyway, just keep that in mind, observe speed limits, and don’t drive with a skinful of ‘turps’ and don’t feed the Dingoes, and you’ll be right, and ENJOY your visit to our version, of God’s own country. 😉👍
Definitely not mate. The eastern beach is a freeway at low tide so it would be fine. Inland tracks and sections like Ngkala rocks would be a bit more work but definitely possible. I’m just lucky enough to have the smaller bike to choose for these type of trips.
Gonna sound like a nerd for a sec, but what camera and mic are you using? The audio quallity from your helmet is of the charts. New subsciber, will be checking out all your content real soon. Cheers.
If he was focussed on safety then that leaky front forkseal would never have been ignored in favour of a three day adventure! What a crock of the proverbial kaka!
@Jim Mulholland because you've never sped. There is too much focus on the speedo and not enough focus on safety. Speed doesn't automatically mean unsafe.

It’s mounted with the supplied ram mount that came with the unit
Thanks Josh! @@_JoshJB_
Thanks Josh @@_JoshJB_
Probably stands there all day picking easy targets.
I’m as easy as they get 😂
@@_JoshJB_ bright yellow beacon 😂
Its so weird to see someone on TH-cam driving through somewhere you’ve been so many times
Hey Buddy, Have you altered the gearing on the DRZ? it seems to be quite relaxed on the tarmac! Cheers
Yea I have.
I have 15 - 44. A good all round setup. Sits on 100kmh nicely.
@@_JoshJB_ Awesome,
Thanks Josh!
is there much of a trade off when off road with the taller gearing?@@_JoshJB_
me and my uncle are thinking of a trip from vic to fraser island what would u say are the must have things to take
my dad went there like 23 years ago he is 30 right now but over all good trip

Getting a ticket in Australia is just like paying your weekly tax ...
love the 400e i have one they are a little bit too heavy . apart from that ripper machine
Depends what you are comparing it to I guess 🤣
But yea it’s a great bike 👍🏼
Man that sucks bout the fine, thx for sharing tho, I get it important to control crazy drunks driven recklessly, but 58km/r on a dirt bike on the beach? No negligence or risk and over $400? Fk that. You’ve probz saved a bunch of newbies to Fraser some coin with this vid! Thank you 🙏
As long as people aren’t ripping the beach to pieces I’m happy. Won’t be long and you won’t be aloud there anymore anyway though.
Mud on the rego plate, don’t stop.
You bring it all exclusively upon yourself for stopping for those wankers
Other than the water crossings, what are your thoughts on putting some A/T tyres on a Ninja 650R for a fraser trip? Think it's possible?
Anything is possible if you are willing. I wouldn’t do it though 😂
Awesome content, shame about the ticket but Eurong is pretty infamous as its where the only Police station on the island is located
Nice video. Well produced. Sorry for your fine mate.
Any tips ridding on the beach? I've never done it and I have a DR-650 keen to go up Di
Try and go a few hours either side of low tide, that’ll make it a bit easier. Keep up the momentum and lean back a little. I am no professional though 😂
@@_JoshJB_ I shoot up there all the time in the 4wd as I live on the coast. Just never taken the bike so thanks for the tips
No many can say they skinny dipped at lake makenzie - got the chill and the photos to prove it
Fun fact my great great great grandfather was one of the people that had to stay on the boat while the storm
Wow that is a fun fact. Thanks for sharing mate 👏🏼
What tyres are you using on this ride?
Motoz dual venture front
Motoz tractionator adventure rear
Same tyres that took me across the Simpson desert last year
i hit the the 500th Like 🏆
Unfortunately, I’m just a bit too late to warn you about our banana-benders, Boys in Blue’s most favourite pastime Josh, ie, levying the ‘welcome to cane-toad country, Tax’ upon all of you visitors from down South, when you go over to Fraser Island. 😉😁
They’re stepping up their activities on Fraser lately because there have been quite a few incidents there over recent months involving di**heads driving 4WDs driving at crazy speeds on the beach and also ‘on the turps’ while driving, and so after a lot of public complaints and news reports, the Coppers finally decided to do something about it.
Anyway, just keep that in mind, observe speed limits, and don’t drive with a skinful of ‘turps’ and don’t feed the Dingoes, and you’ll be right, and ENJOY your visit to our version, of God’s own country. 😉👍
Nah I get it mate, they've got a job to do. I knew they'd be there, I was just having too much fun clearly.
Great vid mate. Shame about the ticket. Did you say you were doing 60 in a 40 or 50?
Thanks mate, yea 58 in a 40.
That airplane. is that doing 40kms on take off and landing??
What are your thoughts on doing this trip on the T7? Too heavy for the sand?
Definitely not mate. The eastern beach is a freeway at low tide so it would be fine. Inland tracks and sections like Ngkala rocks would be a bit more work but definitely possible. I’m just lucky enough to have the smaller bike to choose for these type of trips.
Gonna sound like a nerd for a sec, but what camera and mic are you using? The audio quallity from your helmet is of the charts. New subsciber, will be checking out all your content real soon. Cheers.
Typical cop. You were by yourself focused on safety NOT speed.
It happenes all to often.
Money hungry revenue raisers.
If he was focussed on safety then that leaky front forkseal would never have been ignored in favour of a three day adventure! What a crock of the proverbial kaka!
@carole darling did you watch the video? He didn't ignore the fork seal. He addressed it asap and then kept monitoring it.
The cop Didn't do anything wrong. He was the one speeding and got caught.
@Jim Mulholland because you've never sped. There is too much focus on the speedo and not enough focus on safety. Speed doesn't automatically mean unsafe.
Hard at it on the beat. It’s a DR, should be bonus points and a time extension
DR’s are slow 😅
Wait- is there a speed limit on a beach?! Where I live in WA you go all out on beaches, no police really. I honestly love dirt bike riding and horse riding on the beach always so fun.
On some beaches here in SE QLD yes.
@@_JoshJB_ Oh well that’s pretty annoying, sucks that you got fined for it😭
@@NatayaDellavedova If there are speed limits, they have to be posted, in WA I haven't seen any speed signs
@@Dazza_Doo YeH true, it’s just unusual for me to see speed limits along a beach
Problem with cops is they don't know how not to be a cop, many stay in because it's all they've ever known.
Revenue McPig is everywhere.
