Great podcast bro, one of the most informative too imo. That last statement you made about the money having no correlation to a person having the time to learn the skills to do the thing they want to do. I'd argue that the money was a key factor in their newfound time to learn that new skill, since now they aren't hands to the grindstone with tasks necessary to build that income stream. Did I hear that wrong,or would you agree with that idea? Thanks for all you do in bringing information to the platform. I know how hard it is to create these videos on a consistent basis
yes exactly, money gives you the time to learn the skills but most people associate the money is what gives them the skill. i.e. "getting girls" most people think if you are rich = you will get girls when in reality having money gives you the freedom (time away from work) to learn the skill of approaching, talking to and building relationships with women. Hope that clarifies!
I'd love to hear your take on how to go about finding clients in the market for video production. Been in the space for around 10 years, and no really high paying clients yet. Granted, I live in a pretty rural area south of KCMO, so location may not be prime
Im from kc and the best money (time vs pay) was shooting for bars and clubs. I would get $500 - $1000 per video. I was initially hired by a promoter, Josh Lewis, who got me in the door to almost every bar. It was mainly word of mouth after that with a few facebook ads here and there. With video you are restricted by your location for sure and kc isnt the best but that also means there is less competition. There are plenty of businesses who need video and would gladly pay $3k-$10k for standard videos about the business. In person networking and having good work + very clear on how to get started working together without long gaps of communication is what it took for me. www.socialapexmedia.com/ does well and was actually founded by my partner. @@pixelpoopoo
