The biggest takeaway for me on this video that really hit home was the concept of FOCUS. I have spent so much time trying to develop other business ideas that sound cool to me in theory, but that has taken time/effort/focus away from my current business that is making money with less effort. The "What Should I Be Doing" segment was amazing. I have a solid list of ideas in my head that I know would help me grow, scale, and become more successful. It's so simple, but makes so much sense. Just start a business school and teach everything he says and two of his books as syllabus man, I paused midway and shut down one extra business that I had as I watecd this video, although I have heard him saying it multiple times in numerous pieces of content. Today it really made a dent in my head and also inspired me really well to finally take action. Can never thank you enough Alex for all that you do for free!
24:45 "All the riches you want are on the other side of a few hard conversations" this hit me so hard, because it's so incredibly relevant to my case. I do not understand how I can thank Alex enough for the endless value he has given me in my life/business.
How has Hormozi provided you with "endless value"? The acquisition of repackaged, widely available information is not "endless value". In reality, "information acquisition" is the new form of procrastination. It makes us feel like we are making progress but we are not taking action. How has Hormozi's content prompted you to take action? Taking "action" to buy his book does not count.
@@commonsensecritique3678 The acquisition of repackaged, widely available information is not "endless value". Widely available information being repackaged is literally what 99% of colleges/courses teach but they charge you for it. I make it a point to listen to business videos for around 20-30 minutes a day as I'm exercising, so not exactly procrastinating. I have not bought any of his stuff since most of the information he has on YT is sufficient. One example of something I applied that he taught is doing the crappy tasks that we know we should do but we aren't doing bc we're chasing the new stuff, and applying that in my business has allowed me to streamline certain process/generate more $$ so yes believe it or not it has given me endless value bc those $$ will keep on compounding as my business lives on.
Crazy this video was called “history of money” then “ how to get rich”, and now it’s “ how to get SO rich, you question the meaning of making money”, all of which made me wanna watch it again.

One thing that really stuck to my mind and that constantly haunts me (even tho I haven't started my own business yet): You become an entrepeneur out of curiousity and interest and then you gotta unlearn it and stuff might be boring from time to time so you can built leverage. This will be one of my hardest challenges. Thank you for this presentation!
Alex, you've been one of my driving mentors in this digital jungle of personal development (literally, for the past few years). Not sure if you'll ever read this comment, but I must say I can't thank you enough. You've taken my humble existence from barely getting by (with 3 small children) to a life of six-figures (and soon beyond). You deserve a noble prize (or something equivalent, lol) for your efforts toward growing fellow entrepreneurs, without question. Thank you, thank you so much. If you only knew how much of an impact you've made on my children, my life, and my friends.
The fact that you keyed in on what your audience needed and then made an entirely new presentation for them speaks volumes of the kind of man you are what you are setting out to achieve. Thank you.
A friend of mine, a fellow music composer is living his dream as a successful music composer. I asked him for advice on how I can get there and his answer was FOCUS on only one thing. I was doing way too many things, bc I get bored and impatient easily. Thank you for this amazing lecture.
If you eat a lot of refined sugar (including anything with FRUCTOSE in the ingredients) try to cut those out, it messes with your brain chemistry and makes your mind "foggy", hard to focus, easy to get distracted/bored/impatient/mad etc
This video changed my life. I was doing Uber Eats just a few months ago and stuck with my business I’m building. Now I’m making more than I thought I could
My biggest challenge is still just getting something started that actually produces some income instead of me just being busy trying to get it set up. I'm just trying to get my monthly bills paid so I can quit working my regular job and FOCUS on just my business. Working 40 hours a week to just get by is wasting so much of my time.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence she helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $120k to approx $440k
Working 40 hrs a week will unfortunately never get you ahead in the traditional sense. That’s the lie they tell everyone and it’s why most of America just gets by.
I learnt this lesson last year. After letting go of my side businesses I was able to focus on 1 business that made me enough money to semi retire. 😊 I learnt that there's still so much i can do with my main business.

It's called a lead man, of course he does it for marketing haha. If he gets more traffic of people with his youtube, he will get more money of course, because more people know who he is and what his products are. It doesn't mean that i don't respect his good education though.
And YOU’RE the types of people he loves because you so easily malleable and feel validated because you think your contributing to something even though you’re not.

Also this might be an insightful and valuable information - amazon reviews can easily be bought. Since he has a big enough of team behind him, he can make all that info and just copy paste it to everyone. I'm sure there's more to the refund policy. Also most people won't go all the way for 1 year, forget about the refund (out of frustration or other things) and quit. There's also a chance that his team or himself personally will drag the time enough so the refund policy is not in place. Also the money he got right there can be invested, doubled (or even more) and returned (not to damage his image), which is most likely scenario of his plans. Yes, he might seem all helpful but remember, everyone has their own angle why they do things. Nothing is just out of kindness from people like him.
29:49 This video really drives the main point home: Focus on 1 thing long enough till it becomes a beast. I believe there are 2 things that can be added- 1. When choosing your 1 thing, make sure you choose the thing you really like and enjoy and not just factor profitability. Because, not only would it be a real tragedy to get good at the ‘wrong’ thing but a waste of all that grit, determination towards something that makes you miserable in long term. 2. Such periods of intense focus as talked about in video, if you think about it are really seasonal. At some point, you would have to branch even if its an addendum to accelerate the main thing. Take the example of Alex - he scaled his content game, started dominating different channels 1 by 1 in the last 2 years most probably to get leads for his main company (what gets seen, gets sold) - but in doing so he created a powerful personal brand, multiple streams of income from TH-cam, book sales(even if small in comparison to his earnings at company but still sizeable) and what not.
So many people say work hard. So many companies say be fast. But both doesn't matter, if you don't do it smart enough. I am rather a little bit slower, but also thought about what I am actually doing here.
Got me thinking about how we perceive work and success. The way you break down the stages of change and the pitfalls of chasing too many opportunities really hit home. I'm all in for focusing on one thing and making it count! Thanks for sharing!!
If the majority of people were thinking like this instead of just doing their jobs, there would be no "leverage" for an entrepreneur to use. It's people who are "working" in the traditional sense who make the world go round.

FOCUS on 1 thing only and dont multitask Boring is better and better is leverage Leverage always wins against effort Do it regardless rain or shine Difficult choices make the biggest money Be satisfied with th commitment rather than the outcome
Honestly amazing that we get this education for free. I’m calling this education and not “content” as this is straight up teaching me all I need to know to successfully launch my clothing brand after a full year of building the foundation. Blackened Heart Apparel 🖤
No way this video is all you need to know to successfully launch a clothing brand. Give a compliment but keep it real. Nevertheless, good luck with your business.
@@tristannn5913 maybe there is some slight generalisation however, I’ve been growing my brand for over a year now before pulling the trigger to open. As you can imagine a lot more information has been consumed than just this one video….. a lot of skills are transferable and so that is why this video of you watch the entire thing is very informative & helpful for all types of businesses. 😊
The uncomfortable truth here from someone who has money… No rich person wants to give you their secret to making money, anyone telling you how rich they are and how easy it is to become rich is selling you snake oil… We are all unique and good at certain things, salesman are great at talking shit… I’m one of them, everyone is great at their specific thing and if you can figure that out you will not care about being rich etc etc… Trust me… When you love what you do, you will have more satisfaction than when you do what all these “gurus” tell you what you should have or need to be successful/happy…
Exactly, if you are enjoying plus you have enough to keep your family secure from all aspects. You do not really need to think of being rich. Well, the thing is, people fall into the rich pit just because of that! People decide to make their family free of all burdens, go on the journey of money(thinking that is the only way) and then forget what really was important to them and keep working for more all the time!
Take a break to build the product even if it takes a year. We need a solid foundation to build on and that’s usually the hardest part. 💛 Costumer satisfaction and referrals matter. Over deliver. Don’t engage with the shiny object distractions. Do the boring things. Enjoy the hard work. Stay consistent. Listen to the inner coach.
@22:30 He describes me throughout my life. While my primary goal wasn't to get rich, basically because I was brought up to believe it was outside my reach. As a person, I get interested in things, learn them to a degree, but never become an expert in one thing. Now, in this, I am talking the art and sciences. I would also describe myself as a 63 year old high school dropout and self taught lifelong learner who is driven by curiosity. Now, I am at a point where I do want to take control, input some discipline and focus on making money and am now eager to hear what else he has to say. The thing is, even if you are not an entrepreneur, this is good life advice.
this video is timed perfectly for my life. After selling my last side hustle I've been waffling and have started laying groundwork for 3 different future companies. And, right as I get close to launching, I get enticed by something else. I justified it by saying I wanted to look into other things and once I started something I'd be all in. That sounds great, but the first original business was supposed to launch 4 months ago. That's time lost that I can't get back. Gotta get this focus and have something up and going for Alex's leads book coming out soon.
Can't appreciate enough all the info you give out for free for upcoming entrepreneurs, great content as always🔥Hope to have a yt channel like yours on day
" It's so much easier to stack the deck in your favour if you just do one thing, because when you focus on one thing, you make it unreasonable to fail. if you do one thing for an extended period of time, it becomes unreasonable to suck, if you do it more than anyone else has done it, you will be better than that. " Sounds perfect.
Are you not running a business already? If you aren't the best businessess to run are in the health, wealth, and relationships areas, businesses that are evergreen, they will always exist, and are fad and trend proof. Write down what you've been doing, what you're good at, what you like doing, what you enjoy the most, what you would like to do in the future, who you would like to become, then choose from that mix a business. You'll never work another day in your life doing something that you really love and at the same time is evergreen. I hope this helps, for all I know you could be a millionare. Just in case you're someone starting business newly. Wishing you every success wherever you are. ❤
This economy sucks for those of us with zero business sense, it's like it's tailor made for a single skill set while everyone else is either fucked or they can love comfortably but never see the kind of wealth that all of us dream of having or experiencing at least once in our lives.
Relisten to this. Listen to many of his podcasts. The skill set doesn’t come naturally you have to learn it. Learn to sell. Fill your brain with positivity. You can be rich. You will be rich it if you’re willing to fail often and keep grinding.
Literally I need to say this again, your videos have incredible value.. completely next level. I have come to the same conclusions - these things are really the game changer and the missing piece for most people.

I AM GUILTY OF EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SAID AND AT 74 AND TOTALLY, MISERABLY BROKE.... I am cleaning 5 condos and a pool building every week... I started an etsy store and then I thought of an upholstery business...etc etc etc...After I listened to you, I have to stop the outside work and go after my etsy store until I'm amazingly successful! My ONLY problem with that... if I only grow my etsy store I won't be able to pay my bills! Any suggestions? I want my store to be a great success..I know what I have to do and it's not hard, only just creating more designs. I'm not feeling very wll, and I can't keep this up much longer.. I am the multiple plate spinner! Fuck it...let them fall and break!
@@pf8264 Are you Alex Hormozi... don't get my hopes up..are you someone else? I know that I can grow my etsy store because I'm a retired commercial artist, and I'm painting really cute animals for kids rooms and tee shirts etc... I do watercolors and acrylics. It will take a little time, first I had to learn how to use a computer. After I did that I learned about programs etc! Thank you, Kathy
Get more cleaning clients, hire a younger helper, get more done per day. When you have more income, be more of a supervisor so you can monitor your store more each day. Get rid of your tv, helps you focus.
Watching this 3 times. Ordered an empty book to write out my first playbook. Goal, build a system of leverage which maximizes my output in order to create work that meets my standard effortlessly.
Unfortunately I work for someone else not myself. This really applies to those who already own their own business. It is very eye opening and encouraging. I am sick of working for someone else. I want to work for myself.
I think it can pretty much be applied from day 1 though. The only thing it doesn't teach is what business to do, although it basically showed that you can do anything and if you apply the principles it will work.
Well anyone knows you don’t get rich working for someone else. That’s not a new concept. But if it was that easy to be your own boss more people would be doing it.
I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but I do all the boring stuff in my business first. I was sleeping in the streets in Spain, moved to Ecuador and now am debt free and have my own properties, but it has been a hard slog and my twenties were basically a waste of time.
There is so much powerful and actionable stuff in here that I really needed to hear at this season of my life. Thanks as always for what you do Alex, and thankful for Leila too!
This probably doesn't make sense in context to this but I stopped investing time into social media and art because it got super tiring. The algorithm wasn't doing much it actually slowed down my progression in numbers significantly, I realized "if I want to make a living from this way of art, I would need to get through this??? Ouch." Then I got informed about the changes in the algorithm and why it wasn't supporting me despite my barely changed activity, and it turned out that video content is rated higher and is recommended way more than just pictures. And then I crashed and burned as soon as I realized the despair of "I'm wasting my time! I don't think I can make it in art. I think I suck and I truly wasted most of my life on building a passion and a skill that ended up hurting me more than I wanted". I should totally go back to making art. I was so far more hesitant because of the AI "art" situation cuz ngl it scares me.
How to build a successful business: Define problems -> Define solutions for your customers -> Exceed your customers' expectations -> Consistently go beyond that benchmark and do it at scale.
That's true! Customer success leads to business success, Customer expectations are important because when a business fulfills them, it would boost sales, higher customer retention, brand loyalty, and repeated purchases.
Simple counter example to his whole presentation: Richard Branson. Point is just do what excites you and you feel passionate about. There are many ways of skinning the cat.
ugh. This video...is actually good. your point at 27min 30-42 seconds is the most important point. i'm in quick sand and I've been saying this to my wife... it's funny because i run around telling everyone the secret is this...FOCUS...but I'm not practicing this. why? maybe fear. human emotion...IDK. But consistently over time I have observed the hardest decision to make is what you will not do vs what you will. Maybe it's the "uninformed optimism gene" in humans... Also, for me, I'm a veteran...I was taught never to give up, and never surrender. Most folks are drilled with this point as the secret to success... "just keep going"... and that works IF...IF, you are focused. Nice pitch Alex. Thanks for this video. Well done.
Thank you! I had thought these things before but wasn’t sure if my thoughts were true. Thanks so much for confirming everything. Your words are pure gold bro.
That's applicable also to work, not only businesses. If you focus on improving for only one skill and not get distracted, soon enough you will earn more for your job at different place. Great speech!

I've struggled for so long to get into a good position, making good money that I've got the same view about money. If I'm going to walk around and struggle why make money at all. I've been pursuing a good living for ten years. And to be honest I'm quite tired of it. One failed invention, two businesses that went nowhere. 3 times my house went into foreclosure. Now I just try to enjoy what I have left.

This is a metaphor for getting in the best shape of your life. Once you find success in one vertical, you realize the first principles are the same in any business. Repetition is the father of growth. Sharpen the same blade over and over rather than try to sharpen 69 blades. You ain’t cutting shit down with any of those dull blades.

Shut up and take my money
I now live by this definition of learning.
The fact that nobody talks about the book whispers of manifestation on borlest speaks volumes about how people are stuck in a trance
bot. or paid likes.

40:23 Small vs big Business
41:20 What to do - Boring work 😂
42:20 what same things to do every day?

My favorite part of the speech was forcing through leverage the entire crowd to give you a standing ovation at the end. That was awesome.
Im now rich
So ami
im too
Me as well 💯
Way to go man! I’m about to get there myself
Me too
One thing that really stuck to my mind and that constantly haunts me (even tho I haven't started my own business yet): You become an entrepeneur out of curiousity and interest and then you gotta unlearn it and stuff might be boring from time to time so you can built leverage. This will be one of my hardest challenges. Thank you for this presentation!
I got rich by just watching this..then halfway through it..i got bored and decided to be poor again
Lol😂😂. Thank you for saving me the time.
That kind of sums it up. BS 101
Best Speech ive heard in a while! No fancy Slides no Bs -> Just raw Informations. Thank you so much Alex!
People like Alex are truly gifts of the world. Super inspirational to become someone so selfless like him.
Oh, BS.
lmao you guys are like NPCs
There’s nothing selfless about him
Social media is a great leverage. Take TH-cam for example. You make videos and those videos work for you 24/7
The fact that you keyed in on what your audience needed and then made an entirely new presentation for them speaks volumes of the kind of man you are what you are setting out to achieve.
"How arrogant is it to think that we can do multiple things at once and compete with someone spending all their time on one thing?"
This video changed my life. I was doing Uber Eats just a few months ago and stuck with my business I’m building. Now I’m making more than I thought I could
I had to listen to this multiple times to act accordingly to the wisdom Alex shared. Learning is changing oneself behavior
Yea had to listen a few times too

Long form videos like this without a bunch of insane editing are by far your most valuable gifts to serious entrepreneurs
Congratulations,I love hearing success stories. What is the new main business?

I believe there are 2 things that can be added-
Facts
Got me thinking about how we perceive work and success. The way you break down the stages of change and the pitfalls of chasing too many opportunities really hit home. I'm all in for focusing on one thing and making it count! Thanks for sharing!!
Same here!
This was by far the best Seminar I have ever heard. I will use everything here and scale down my 7 businesses to work fully on one.
To everyone seeing this, I just want to remind you to NOT give up on your financial goals. It’ll pay off very soon, just stick to the plan.
But your 1 month old TH-cam account screams CIA bot.
If the majority of people were thinking like this instead of just doing their jobs, there would be no "leverage" for an entrepreneur to use.
It's people who are "working" in the traditional sense who make the world go round.
Testimonial: My wife is dense as a brick and won't listen to anyone, especially me. For 25 years, I have been trying. You got through to her in 10 minutes. I think she acctually gets it now. Thanks.

FOCUS on 1 thing only and dont multitask
Boring is better and better is leverage
Leverage always wins against effort
Do it regardless rain or shine
Difficult choices make the biggest money
Be satisfied with th commitment rather than the outcome
Difficult choices also make the biggest bankruptcies
But what does he mean by leverage? Can you please help me understand it?
Honestly amazing that we get this education for free. I’m calling this education and not “content” as this is straight up teaching me all I need to know to successfully launch my clothing brand after a full year of building the foundation.

Awesome! Best of luck!!
If you rely on this guy to teach you about running your clothing business then you're screwed before you start
Education/learning can come from "content" of all kinds. If you changed your behavior as a result then you learned something/educated yourself.
Bro, it's like you described me. Starting new stuff and not focusing on the old boring stuff. Thanks for this.

Lol he makes lots of money from these speeches and videos. 😅
Beautiful & well said. P.s am screen shoting this
Thanks saved me time
I like your summary simple yet powerful.

You've gotta be kidding.
" It's so much easier to stack the deck in your favour if you just do one thing,
because when you focus on one thing, you make it unreasonable to fail.
if you do one thing for an extended period of time, it becomes unreasonable to suck,
if you do it more than anyone else has done it, you will be better than that. "
Sounds perfect.

It's not the economy that sucks but society, if it makes you want more wealth than you need to live comfortably. I feel sorry for you.

I was so far more hesitant because of the AI "art" situation cuz ngl it scares me.

ugh.

What are the principles?
