I’m running DS18 Pro-SM69.2 6x9’s in the bags and DS18 Pro-SM6.2 slim 6.5’s in the fairing with a hertz 600 watt amp and the HDHU14 soundstream head unit. These speakers are loud af for sure. I blew the 20 fuse and had to go up to a 25. Good job though bro, sounds good.
I installed my own DS-18 setup 2 years ago in my bike. Running a 3000.4 candy amp, 2- 1" pro TW7L, 4 cf65 led speakers. along with a RF dsr1. Have entered 2 sound comps for rookie class via Soundwarz and won the first one and took runnerup on the 2nd. So to say you have to spend thousands to get a competition sound system nope. Mine ran about 1k total and installed it and tuned it myself with just old school knowledge of car stereo setups. Not to mention none of those extremely costly sound companies offer led lighting speakers that are completely waterproof.
I been hearing alot about DS18s they sound really good on a motorcycle I'm gonna give those a try . I had those expensive hertz and was kinda disappointed .
Truth about Hertz and these other big name brands. You don’t need spend thousands $$ for a nice sound system. On my 2012 Roadglide I’m running a soundstream 9813RG touchscreen head unit, DB drive 6.5 moto CD’s in fairing, Biketronics BT 4180 Amp, (4) Pioneer TS6900 Pros 6x9’s in lids, and (2) Pioneer TSM800 midbass in bags. My son is in IT so he wired everything neat. I bet i can out power most Hertz systems easily and sound better! Don’t go by name brand only. I like my pioneers but they are not water proof but they bang like no tomorrow! I may switch to the DS18 6x9 Pros because of the water proof factor. I’m also considering (2) kicker 8 inch subs to replace the pioneer midbass.
I was sponsored by DS18 they have some really good equipment. But! The only thing that sucks is they're tweeters, but other than that they do have great sounds.
That's pretty cool. Wish I could get sponsored so I could re do my whole system lol. Yeah their speakers are really good it seems, haven't tried their amps yet. Maybe in the future. So far my horns on my mids are doing good thankfully.
You have to shave the adapters as much as you can. Also take the rubber off of the magnets, and shave the plastic line that's inside the fairing too. Still gonna be tight but they will fit.
Good tech talk. Hope your physical therapy is going good. I think the government should start a new nationwide campaign with the po'lice cracking down on people using phones while they driving. Anyone caught using a phone will have it inserted rectally as far as it will go 👍🏻
@airforceone6403 yeah I had to shave the adapters about 1/4 inch. I also had to cut about 6 inches of that little lip inside the fairing by where the speaker magnets out. Make sure you take off the rubber on magnets too.
@@dannydlowbikertv I live in Canada we throw snowballs at each other just kidding fuck getting brutal here too not as brutal as your hometown though OK stay safe
Hell yeah love the set up. eBay was my best friend setting mine up got less than 1k invested and always get asked hows it so loud without spending thousands. 2 6x9's, 2 6.5's, 2 8's, and 4 tweeters. Shit screams and it AINT HERTZ 😂😂😂
Alright I'll make this short and sweet. So I already knew you had a screw loose. However now I feel you have a loose axl. Lol. Thank you. Haven't started it yet but soon.
Which ds18 6.5 speakers did you go with and they still holding up?
I went with the ds18 zt6.5 pros. Very good speaker, alot bigger then most, handle good power, and still banging away fine.
@@dannydlowbikertv did you have any issues getting the ds18 zt6.5 pros to fit in the fairing
