Today I'm making the best of a lousy situation! It's a good thing puppies are cute, and thankfully he didn't eat one of my expensive pens! I took this opportunity to swap out a scratchy nib for a 1.5 stub that I love! I hope you enjoy it! The tape trip works like a charm!
The tape trick is such an easy trick for changing Lamy nibs. I change mine frequently. So sorry about your Lamy Joy, but I'm glad you were able to use the nib and were able to give someone else the converter.
Great save! Thank you for showing us how to change it out in real time. I just purchased a Lamy Lx from Goulet Pens, and inked it up with Caffe Crema! I saw that you used the ink in a previous video and decided to get it :)

I have two Safari's, both with medium nibs. I wouldn't normally choose two pens with the same nibs. In this case my Safari's were given to me. I have bought a 1.1 stub nib and now know how simple it is to fit. Thanks.
I love my Lamy’s - have one in most colours … did treat them like coloured pencils … I haven’t had problems … although they don't get used for long writing periods … I think we all get a nib that we don't feel is quite right but then I'm not an expert :-) Fortunate you LOVE your puppy :-)
I think each nib has its own personality. I'm sure a little tuning on the steel nib would go a long way but I was happy to put that stub nib on and ink it up! It works so well now! You must have a great collection with lots of colors!
I'm new to the fountain pen game...always wondered how to switch the nibs! Hope Lumpy learned his lesson and won't chew up any more pens! I've bought 3 Kaweco pens so far...and I'm worried I'll go a little overboard expanding my collection. I have a very addictive personality, and when I like something, I want to get 50 more of something lol. BTW...Happy 50th! I just turned 50 a few months ago :)

My SCRIBO Feel is a fine-flex nib. I absolutely love the pen. I do however think there are softer, bouncier flex nibs out there that aren't so expensive.
No kidding! I have nightmares about him getting my valuable pens. I've become much more careful with where I put them down...I'm closing doors, putting them in cases and then in drawers. I got lucky!

@@timewithtata8004 I like Kaweco Royal Blue ink but I am sure I read a few years ago that their nibs were not be relied on. Is that just wrong?

Do you have any nibs that are flex? I want pen/nib that acts like old fountain pens. I want to be able to go my calligraphy. What would you recommend?

He is so fast Linda! I'm keeping all of my pens as safe as I can. It's hard to Lumpy-proof this house!
