    I would love a review at the end of the year on the forensic science course. It looks like a great elective course.

    My boys did the Forensic Science class at our co-op this year. My 9th grader did fine with it. And I loved that they were able to do all the labs at co-op!

    Thanks for sharing! I created my own forensics unit this spring for my 8th grade son. He really enjoyed it, so i can see us circling back to the topic in HS. I look forward to seeing how he enjoys this course!

    Thanks for sharing!! We love Notgrass and will be doing their American History course for 9th grade too. I’ve been eyeballing MB Forensic Science as an elective too, but maybe in the following years.

    After many hours of video reviews and visiting too many publisher websites, we have finally landed on Shormann Algebra for my rising 8th grader. My rising 6th grader has one more year of Horizons then I will move her to Shormann. Thank you for the recommendations. My son will be using the brand new Apologia physical science, at his request. I had planned on switching to BJU. I guess we will see how this year goes. I love your curriculum picks. They are so straightforward without adding dozens of unnecessary extras. It’s so refreshing.

    I'm definitely getting the Intro to forensic science. My son is a Criminalist and I can utilize his knowledge while teaching this. Thank you for showing this curriculum!!

    I’ve watched your videos for years now and I am just mind blown that you will have three high schoolers! I feel like it was yesterday that I watched my first video of yours because I was curious about homeschooling. Now we are wrapping up our first year! I’m so thankful for your channel. It’s been an incredible blessing! Thank you for sharing your choices 😊❤️

    I love all these electives! It gets me excited to one day let them truly dive into their interests. Next year I'll have a 3rd grader and a 1st grader so it's pretty basic stuff. They are mostly interested in art right now lol

    Hi, I really appreciate your curriculum videos, thank you. We have our first starting grade 9 next year and I watched your video on how you planned for your eldest daughter. I am wondering how your plan for her unfolded, credit wise? Or if you can give some pointers as to how you are now in a position to do college courses. I am a bit concerned about getting to 22 credits by the end and hearing how some already start gathering credits in grade 8😮 We are a South African family able to do an AHSD which allows us the freedom of curriculum choices but this is also is quite daunting because it is very new to me.

    my daughter will be using that health course this upcoming year as well. we are trying notgrass american history this year for my middle and high school students--we did notgrass one or two years for elementary so I'm somewhat familiar...but did you find the middle/high school history curriculums are doable in a years time---they just look so hefty!

    • @GraceandGrit
      @GraceandGrit  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes they are doable. Just decided ahead to do history 4x a week and leave 1 day for projects etc.

    I'm not at the stage of using the master books electives just yet, but I'm curious how your kids do them independently. Please excuse my ignorance if I've got it all wrong, but the electives seem to be designed to be taught by a teacher. Do they use the teacher's guide on their own?

    Planning on using Notgrass for my son's 9th grade history, but I am bebating between starting with Exploring American History & World History. I was set on American first ( and I already bought it off Ebay🤑) but then I read on a blog that the world curriculum is easier for freshmen year and now I'm kinda second guessing... Any thoughts since you have used both with your kiddos? Thanks so much for any advice!

    I saw your flip through on Apologia Health and Nutrition several years ago. I see you are using PACE this year. Did you continue the Health and Nutrition? The Apologia looked very detailed and interesting, but I'm wondering if it is worth it for the 1/2 credit required in my state. Thank you!

    If the physical science doesnt pan out (i dont know why not because BJU is great) i had chosen exoloration education advanced phy science and my son absolutely loved it! He did all the experiments and learned so much
    Question. How hands on are you in highschool? Do you have them grade their own work? Do pretty much all their learning on their own? Thx

    • @momoflittleladies
      @momoflittleladies หลายเดือนก่อน

      In other videos she talks about this- they usually do their lessons independently (BJU is video based) and then they do online tests or she grades them.

    How do you manage credits with Notgrass? Do you have them complete all the Bible and English assignments to then give them 3 credits? I'm a bit worried about the course load when doing Notgrass along with TGTB HS 1. Would love to hear more about how you do both!

    • @GraceandGrit

      We only did the history portion of Notgrass.

    • @sabvac
      @sabvac 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@GraceandGrit ok great to know! Do you have a video explaining how you did it? Just wondering what it would look like specifically to just do the history portion. Skip the bible assignments and literature assignments? But do the "In their words" reading and the student review questions? Did you do the tests? Sorry for my million questions - we've never used Notgrass so it's all a bit confusing. Thank you so much!!

      I list each course separately for an elective the year we do it.
