We do BSF, and those style of Bible studies are amazing. My girls have been doing it since they were little, and they learn so much!
I so love and appreciate your end of the year recaps. You are honest with what works and what didn’t and why and inspire me to add some other things to our school day to keep it fun.
The hits and misses are some of my favorite videos. It’s so interesting to see how different curriculums work in different seasons.
I love videos like yours as I’m doing research on what curriculums to use once we start our formal CM education (in a year!) thank you!
I had a similar system that I used on a whiteboard. I changed it and put it on paper after watching your video. They love it. Thank you.
I Added my video for the homeschool show and tell
Delightfully Feasting has so many unique studies. I really want to try the Nutcracker one too!
My daughter, Autumn will be doing Redefining School for the 1st time for this upcoming school year. She will be doing the American Lit also! I'm excited to give this a try ☺️!
We had a similar year. We ended up doing more extra curricular and only tackling main subjects. I am working through most of the summer and changing up for the fall because of it. It wasn’t a bad year but it wasn’t what I planned.
I’ve heard about the bird study on a couple of your videos now and totally want to try it with my kids ❤
I have two high schoolers doing a full semester with C. S. Lewis and Tolkein books.
I was wondering how five in a row went? We are using it this year and we are excited !!
It went well! It was a nice staple for Annie, Eli is starting to pull away from it. I may have just her doing it next year!
Sounds like you all had a great year! I have a video for the collab, but I can't post my link here (it keeps disappearing). It's the 2nd Grade Hits and Misses video. Thanks!
Not sure if you have heard of CM simple studies but she has a Middle Ages one. We are currently doing it since my son is doing year 2 AO. It’s so delightful. Her booklists are wonderful.
Yes! I’m using her Burgess sea shore unit next year, it seemed similar to what we used for the birds this year, and I want to continue with the same format!
I posted a video to add to the playlist but I'm new so not sure how it works! We just mention you & you add it later? Thanks so much!
Can you share your top favorite books from the Medieval time period? We are about to begin that time period for my kids, ages 14,12,9,7. Thanks!!
Door in the Wall!
Also my 8 year old liked Castle Dairy of Tobias Burgess.
I have a video on it! It’s called “mid year book haul” from a couple months ago, I linked it in this video!
Do you have all your kids do courses together? How do you get all this information together for your homeschool plan?
What geography curriculum do you use?
The bible study sounds so amazing. Is it available online?
I’m trying to figure out the redefining school. This looks like something my son would really enjoy. Can we enroll for multiple literature circles?
What is your checklist video for independent work? I didn’t see that listed anywhere.
In the video there is a little icon at the top that you can click and see the other linked videos!
How did you choose books for your kids to read independently and how do you schedule independent reading? I have girls who don't want to read and sometimes by the time we finish most of our school and clean up we only have 1 hour before an extracurricular activity...just wondering how you fit reading into the schedule.
Usually after lunch for a bit before we pick up again with school work!
Where was the geography study from?
Hi Abby! I can’t seem to get my video added to the playlist. Can you please help?
Are your history book lists in curriculum videos? We are reading through Story of the World and I would love for my older one to have a good book list to supplement.
I don’t think you said the name of the Australian geography study. Can you share that?
I can't seem to get my video to add to the playlist th-cam.com/video/cbg2FDZtX5Q/w-d-xo.html
