Kite string cutter, WTF?!? Awesome bike
Very common around here , specially on city exits. Kids spread glass on kite strings to make glass coated strings used to fly kites and cut others in competition . Unaware riders when go through suburbs can have their throats cutted because it’s very sharp and not easily spotted.

Good video Leandro, did you find more engine noise once you fitted the skid plate to the bike? I need to get one for my 850.
Thanks for your comment ,David! As for your question, the skid plate does muffle just a little bit the sound , but nothing relevant i’d say. Coincidentally, tomorrow I will upload a video here on my channel , in which I recorded the sound of the bike (exhaust and engine , idle and riding ) with an external mic . It may help you make up your mind.All the best!

Thanks for your comment. No, I didn’t change the seat as . As opposed to to f800 seat, the one from f850 is comfortable and does not compromise on a standing position. All the best !

Oi, tem o link desse gps mount? Tem vários tipos…. Ela não vibra? Eu tinha um adaptador da scam q parafusava nos buracos da bolha e deixava celular em cima do painel. Mas ela balançava muito e tirei
Olá , tudo bem ? Olha , eu tenho andando há quase 1 ano com muito off road ele e por si só não parece vibrar , principalmente quando está com o Garmin zumo no suporte da bmw .
Aquele adaptador de celular do suporte original da bmw não não segura o celular , principalmente no off road.

What do you use your moto for - touring, off road, commuting? I just started to give this bike serious consideration. Weight is a big deal in the ADV world; how would you judge it? Thanks! Look out for kite strings!
Thanks for your comments! As for your questione, I use this bike mainly for off road riding and touring. During a few months I used it for commuting as well and I found it very agile in traffic. I have a video which shows the agility of the bike in the heavy traffic of São Paulo. th-cam.com/video/_YVnQ4oNMaM/w-d-xo.html As for the bike I’ve had in the past the r1200gs, r1200gs Adv, f800gs, f800gs adv and g650gs sertão. The f850gs is definitely the best all rounder , as it performs very well in all sorts of situations (off road, touring and traffic) . It’s torky, agile and confortable. It is indeed heavy compared to the tenere 700 or the g650 gs sertão , but nothing like the bulk of a 1250 gs. You can do almost anything off road with very little diference from the g650 gs sertão. Obviously, you won’t have as much fun and agility as you would have with a cr250 or a Mx bike weighting 140kg. But, the purpose of a f850gs is to take you to remote places and let you have fun there, without needing to transporte your bike in a truck. And it accomplishes it with excelence! esse extensor do freio fica bom mesmo? mano tou puto com freio da 850 premium, todas as outras 3 motos que eu tenho o freio ta no mesmo nivel da pedaleira, a 850 ta 2cm abaixo, nao consigo frear direito em pé... e esses extensores parece uma merda pq so alaga mas nao eleva.
ele eleva cerca de 2/3 mm. Quase nada mas já ajuda . além do mais, ele aumenta a area de contato que tb melhora. Mas , de fato, não encontrei algo como o que vem na adventure. No pedal de cambio eu gastei quase 1mil reais na BMW com a peça da adventure pois minha bota é larga no bico e não houve jeito de ajustar com o pedal que veio com ela . Todas as versões de hoje já vem com o pedal da adventure. Provavelmente descobriram o problema da limitação no ajuste para botas de off.

@@dommotos não. a bmw só mudou o pedal de câmbio. Freio continua o mesmo . Vc pode comprar a peça e mudar . a peça deve custar uns 1mil reais.
