I really hope that you enjoyed your beer at the end cuz you deserved that 💯, thank you so much for this tutorial because it is hard to find the Geeetech related videos and it's mostly up to myself trying to get it better - even the bltouch installation was a pain! right now i am looking for the hotend replacement because i screwed the thread on the hotend just like you described in the begging so thank you again, I'll subscribe and appreciate your effort.
Quick question. Do you have a link where I can buy replacment nozzels for this hotend? I received one of these from a friend of mine and I am having trouble finding one to order. Any help is appreciated.
Unfortunately I've never found a source of parts for these, I emailed Big Tree Tech when I first got it looking for a nozzles and a tool to remove them never got a response. And I don't think it's even being sold anymore, I can't find it on Aliexpress or BTT. If you need a nozzle I think you're either going to have make or adapt one, or swap the whole hot end for one that uses standard nozzles. There's a bunch of different 2 into 1 hotends on Aliexpress that use standard parts. And there's the stock Geeetech A10m part as well. Sorry I couldn't help!
@@3rdpig no problem, I kind of figured that was the case. Guess that's the issue with proprietary parts. I'm going to try to make an adaptor. Thank you for your help, I can stop plowing through the internet now, lol.
Dear Chuck, where do I order a tool for removing the Nozzle on the ZSYond 2 in 1 out ? Does it have anything to do with the BTT CRAB tool ? Tnank you ...
I'm not sure that there is a commercially available tool just for this. I don't have the CRAB tool and from the pictures I don't know if the 4 pins in it are the right size or line up properly with the holes in the nozzle. Honestly I think a strong pair of snap ring pliers might be the best bet if you didn't want to make something. I tried a watch case back tool but it doesn't go small enough. I think what I plan on doing if I ever need to remove it, is to get a cheap socket with the same diameter as the holes in the nozzle, and using a dremel tool, angle grinder or a file, remove enough material so that there are 4 "pins" left sticking up in the right places. Beats breaking a good set of snap ring pliers or damaging the hot end.
@@3rdpig Thanks Chuck .. Also, did you have any luck with mixing colors with that hot end properly without banding and different shades of each color ? Michael at Teaching Tech didn't go into details about that feature ? All I know is when I originally got my A20M, it was mixing colors like a charm ... Since then I put dual gear feeders and that is when things began behaving differently ? Maybe that part of the process has plenty to do with the issue ? Just a thought ... I am in the middle of mounting my ZSYong 2 in 1 out on my A20M, so I will let you know how I go with mixing properly .. Thanks again Chuck !!
Ah, but does it work well? Most mixing on have very poor reviews. But I've been thinking that a mixing extruder wouldn't have the issue of the filament crashing into the other filament path or taking forever to clear the previous color
I think it mixes as well as the stock hot end. Problem with mixing is that there's just no real mixing action going on in the hot end, it just shoves the two molten filaments together and almost immediately extrudes them. So if you look at the extrusion carefully, it's one color on one side, the other color on the other side and a mix right in the center. But it does print well, changes color quickly and is pretty trouble free.

Wow, great walkthrough of the process 👍
Great job/video 👍
Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us 👍😀
Thanks!
Good luck. Hope the new hot end meets you needs.
I thought your mount solution was excellent, functional and unfussy, I would have felt proud of myself if I had managed to design it.
Thanks. I was proud of myself once I got over the annoyance of all the ones that wouldn't work.
Is there anywhre you know of that sells the repacement nozzles?

Great Video. Have you had any problem with it pluging up? If so do you know how to un-plug?
It hasn't plugged up and I've now used it quite a bit.
