with certain waxes you can. but you should rather go with the dipcoat which is a safe bet!

I really love how you guys are honest about your product, really rare! Also, the trick to applying gloss paint to a car is to lower the pressure of your pistol and also to prep your final layer of colour paint with a specific type of towel. For specifications just ask me, I know this is very vague. (:

painted my rims black, been on there for a little over a year. Peeled it off easy. The heavier the coat you have the easier it is. Some spot i couldn't get to on my rims, the coat was quite thin, it took a while to rub it off but still do able. No damage done what so ever.

for question #5 I can say yes glossifier works great with smoke dipped taillights. I dont have pictures but I will try to get a video on my channel of how it looks.
it;s kinda hard to see the shine on a white car.... you need to do a darker color to show the shone better
white was done on purpose as don't think this will shine
YOu can see how Fonz changed his style up. He now sprays closer and quicker.
When putting coats, how long do you let the coat dry before adding another coat. . Along with before putting on the finishing coat?

I did my rims matte white and 4 coats of glossifier and OMG is it SOOO much easier to keep clean. They literally look like the day I dipped them, I will ALWAYS use gloss for rims. cleaning is 100X easier.
Looks great! Do you have any special prep. for the car prior to a full dip like this, like a fresh wax or remove all wax? Also, is it clear coat safe over a long period of time, such as a few months, few years?

if i leave the plastic dip on the car for years, when the time comes to peel it off, would it damage the paint?

I have used it on my zx6r race bike. so far it has lasted about 2 years in all conditions. The lighter colors are a bit harder to keep clean because of the texture of the paint but its 1000000000 times better than spray paint. It wont chip off when rocks hit it (im often traveling in excess of 100mph at the track) and have never had it chip due to that. Sometimes my straps will rub and it will pull the paint off in some small places but its easy to fix using the alcohol
method.

Hi Fonzie, I watched many of your videos and plan on dipping my car. I have been waiting for the glossifier to come out because I like the matte look just not on my vehicles... Anyhow got a question for you. Does the plasti dip peel off just as easy with the glossifier added?

it feels a little smoother, definitely looks shinier but it doesn't reflect light as strong as a real paint job. you can some what see your reflection but blurry.

guys, as always great video! you guys really know what youre doing! i have a question, i have 10 liters of pure plasti dip and 10 liters toluol to thin it! its white matte but i want to do it grey instead of white! have you guys ever mixed a grey with white and a little bit black? if yes how carefull do i have to be when mixed the black to the white? thx for all the videos! cant wait to dip some cars here in switzerland! cheers
You guys should do a whole car black with the gloss finish see how that turns out I've been wanting to do that to my car.
Use a spray can and line the inside of the jam with a length of 6 inch width cardboard or to prevent splashing. make the cardboard about 9 inches so you can fold it into an L so it stands. Use his tear and texture repair technique to blend the Jam paint with the car paint. you could also use a sheet to tape the the entire door frame closed right where the interior meets metalstill using the canspray+repair technique to blend it. Simple if not obvious fix for any hard to get to spot. :)

When will you do a Fluorescent Purple with a Glossifier finish? I want to do a F.P. with the Glossifier on my 97' Mazda MX-6 LS, but I would like to know how it would turn out before I spend the $500+ shipping, spray it on, and then end up not like liking it b/c it didn't turn out the way I thought it would, and be out $600+/- . IF you could do a video with the F.P. with the Glossifier I would greatly appreciate it!

Great job it’s been 7 years plus how long does it last ? Have you peel out the plastic dip does it really mess up the original black clear coat on original paint ? It would be great video to prove everyone plastic dip truely great product
look on their website it has whole kits for sale, i would recommend buying the spray nozzle too.
Clay bar, I had quite a bit of overspray on my roof after doing some window trim. The clay bar took it all off in a few minutes.

When do you apply glossifier? Do you do it right after plastidipping? Or do you let the plastidip dry for eight hours first?
So when the clear is put on up close, does that eliminate that rough feeling you usually get in matte colors? Does it feel squeaky clean or just better than normal?

What about the door jams? I've never seen you guys actually go thru and paint the jams. I love this product and will be buying an 09 Black Audi A5 here in about a month, and the week I buy it I am dipping it Matte white with black rims and black emblems. So STOKED!

I want to dip and glossify my car roof. I know it's best to peel off the tape when it's still wet but don't you wait till the dip is dry before adding the glossifier? If so, will the tape still rip off easily without disrupting the entire project? Plz let me know!

i love this video but i have a question. in one of the previous videos, i think you removed it now, when you painted the golf GTI and added the glossifier to it it finished look didn't turn out as good as this one, this one looks smoother and much more attractive. Why?

So you can apply the Glossifier over the Plastidip and peel off just fine when it comes to peeling off the headlights etc? Does the Glossifier affect how hard it is to peel when you decide to remove the Plastidip completely? Thanks :)
How would you go about removing a dip this size? In my experiences it's a huge hassle trying to remove even the smaller areas (doesn't just peel off) Is there a trick or some kind of secret?
Hey, Fonzie, Huge respect for what you are doing, keep it going. I was wondering how does PlastiDip react to cold weather? Like in my country, Lithuania that is. We get -25 -30 degrees C, so how would it react with plasti diped car?

So I have very expensive chrome wheels on my Titan and recently I chipped one of them lightly. I want to use the clear plasti dip to protect them especially in the winter time but I would like to retain the chrome best I can. Have you done or can you do a video with a chrome wheel, clear plasti dip, and a glossifier for me? I know that using just the clear over chrome gives you that brushed aluminum look but what does the glossifier add to the equastion. Thanks for the help!

Hi Fonzie! Thanks for all the good videos! But I have a question for you, Im not sure if it has been answered before, but. Why dont you use a "real paintgun". Well both are paintguns, but a paintgun that uses a seperate compressor? I have one Devilbiss GTI pro for clear got, would that work to spray plastidip with? Most things are sprayable tho =).

Is there anything to do to combat peeling from constant touching. I plastidipped my hatch a black base with copper and silver metallizer with glossifier over the top. It’s peeling around the edges from people’s hands pulling down on the hatch constantly. The grill that was painted the same way is still perfect after a year.
Hi fonze from the uk! I'm having my E46 M3 done from carbon black to gloss white, a guy who has started doing the whole plasti dip thing is doing mine for me, will the gloss white look glossy or more of a sheen matte look? Cheers dude!
I am really wanting to do this to my car. I love the white color and the gloss on it. But can you spray the metalizer on the white and then spray the gloss over that and not have any ill affects? And does it still peal off the same with the gloss sprayed over the white plasti dip?
if you apply the clear glossifier too thick and you get runs is it possible to peel the clear off of the white, or would it lift the white off with it?
When put spray gloss over the plasti dip does it give it a smooth feel or a rough feel like the plasti dip?
the white looks really good! but.... how come you didnt use the grey as a primer like you did in one of your other videos?
My guess is that the gray primer was used just to build up more layers, thus making the dip thicker, and making it easier to peel off later on.
If you spray the plastidip glossifier over the plastidip paint, does it still peel off as easily or is it much more difficult?

I couldn't really tell from the Vid. But do you get any type of a Reflection with the Plasti Dip with the Glossifier like you do with regular Paint?
How does this glossifier look compared an actual factory paint job? I understand plastidip is a less expensive alternative but I haven't seen the product in person yet.
Can I spray the clear glossifier over carbon fiber vinyl wrap and have it come out OK? I tried regular clear coat paint and it didn't turn out good. Any ideas. It's for interior pieces
