Oh I really want the Netherlands to win. He is my favourite and to be honest I really think he can do this. The last time I felt like this was Emmelie De Forest, she was my favourite and she ended up winning so I’m really hopeful. Next year I might be able to go to Eurovision and I’d love to go to the Netherlands because I’ve never been. Fingers crossed.

Having saying that, I think the winner it's between The Netherlands, Iceland, Russia, Cyprus/Switzerland (just one of them, they kill each other), Italy and a couple of dark horses.
Slovenia, Albania, North Macedonia or Czech Republic could be the dark horses of this year. Maybe we can think about Norway, Spain, France and Armenia too. I don't know how but I think Armenia will be GREAT in the televote but juries will kill her chances, like Michal or Mélovin. A weird feeling that I have (?).
And my concern it's about Portugal. I love Conan, he's so different, but I'm feeling that he's too different and people wouldn't take it. And it's sad, but we saw this case before and...
I hope they get it. His song is brilliant. He and Mahmood are very unpredictable for me. They are awesome but I don't see very clear what will happen with them.
Slovenia, in my opinion, it's the biggest dark horse, so dark horse that it's a serious candidate, actually.

Italy is my winner. Love Netherlands and Switzerland too, would be happy if ine og them won. Slovenia, Belgium, Portugal, Iceland, Latvia, Malta, and Norway also deserve good results at the top.
Italy is not good live tho. Netherlands are ok. Look up Russia live - you'll be surprised - there is now a full version (even if it's something personal - you can't deny that he has talent). Portugal don't even have a music video, but people are hiping them so yeh...

Sorry, but Russia 2nd and Sweden 3rd is ridiculous.
I mean they are good songs, but not that good to be that high. Imo, there are much more entries that deserve their spots.
On the other side, I'm quite happy for Malta, which is often really underrated.
Slovenia and Azerbaijan are underrated imo, but everything will change, after the first pre parties and the rehearsals in Tel Aviv.

There is a reason why Russia is so high - Sergey. He is very popular in Eastern Europe and that basically means he starts with 50-60 points in his pocket. At the same time, Iceland and The Netherlands are the biggest favorites from Western Europe (Sweden isn't real favorite) and the points from the west will distribute between those two countries.
@@oskarw8256 Ehm, no? Chameleon is one of the best songs this year. It's fresh, catchy and radio friendly. I could imagine it as a world hit song.
And even if, I'm still fine with that, since they are always unnecessarily underrated.
Really hope Switzerland or Netherlands will win. Both are waiting so long for a victory.

The Netherlands won 4 times and Switzerland 2 times. Russia, Cyprus or Iceland would deserve it more.
I usually love Sacha Jean-Baptiste's stagings but in my opinion she ruined the chances for Equinox to get top 5
I'm Italian. My favourite is Duncan Laurence and probably next year I'm going to study in the Netherlands. So yeah, let either Mahmood or Duncan get the winner place and I'll be happy :)

I think Sweden is that high in odds only because jury always gives them lots of points.
I agree, Netherlands is authenthic, emotional and overall a great song, but I think Slovenia is magical, modern and just special...Simplicity at it's best...I think this is something that should be.considered as a underdog of the competition...

I can’t accept that Italy is not the favourite ones.
My top 3 is Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands. Switzerland is the best "dance" song this year by far in terms of quality, though a little bit predictable. Italy is also kind of "dance" but it's very different and has something very special (the voice, the claps, the rhythms changes) it's not predictable. As for the Netherlands it's symply the best "ballad" type of song. However tough to predict the winner, it feels like 10 songs could win.
Portugal, Iceland or Italy. You can forget about the rest.

I'm all over Italy! I'll say it again and again! I love it. I think the hype has died down, which is good. Its just him. It will be just about him, so it's less about the full staging and more how they edit him, close up, wide shots etc to get full effect. Its my fave by farrrrrr! Overall, I think this year is much better than 2018 / 2017 so whatever it will be a great show, Israel will deliver on staging, the contest will be exciting and.....a man..or men... will win this year!

For me Greece would be higher - same as Azerbaijan whereas Sweden would be lower. It's a good song. I just can't see them among the contenders, after all.
Well I think we have to remember that the Odds take into account the jury not just who all the fans are raving about. Last year Austria finished first in the jury and third overall with a similar quality of song to Sweden's this year. There's a big possibility this could happen again. As for Greece, I think it isn't very high right now because it will be the most effected by staging imo. Like some songs have much more scope to be affected by the staging and Greece is one of them; in my opinion Greece's song has the most to lose from the staging because it's the best studio version and the atmosphere is the most important part of it in my opinion. I personally think the same can be said about Azerbaijan, the studio version and video is of such high quality, the staging can only take away from the atmosphere for me

Yeah, Iceland is my number 3 right now. Portugal is also in my top 10, I'm just afraid most people watching it for the first time in the semi will find it too "weird" and not vote for it. Same goes for Iceland actually lol, but it has grown on me so much.

The top 10 is quite ok for me in terms of predictions. I have 7/10 in my top 10, however I thought Iceland would be even higher.

I really think that the Netherlands will win. There are so many people on TH-cam that cied when they react to this song. It will stand out the same way Portugal stood out in 2017.

Am I missing something? Last time I checked it was called Eurovision SONG Contest, not STAGING contest. You guys, I really tried to like Russia's song... I couldn't find all the hype around it. There are so many amazing songs this year and the bets place it on 2nd place just because they SUPPOSE they'll have a killer staging? I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone, just stating my honest opinion: Sergey can scream his lungs out, he is not able to express certain emotions. And leaning on staging is not a fair move. Don't get me wrong, I'm aware how important staging is in a performance, but it's not the only factor that matters. What matters is a balanced package made of song, message, performance and voice.
We have Hatari, Conan, Mahmood or Duncan- they and their songs really manage to express raw pure feeling. Please don't kill their chances.
If this was only a SONG contest then singers would just stand on the center of a plain stage and sing. Those times have passed, people now need the whole package. They need visuals to keep their attention. That's just how it is

I honestly don't get the hype around Russia this year. In 2016 Sergey's song was a lot better, this one is so generic.

Countries fighting for the win: The Netherlands, Iceland, Russia, Cyprus, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy (and maybe a possible Eleni rising rapidly after the rehearsals, Malta maybe? Or even Slovenia?).
Highest chance: The Netherlands, because it will be the act televoters and juries can agree on.
Countries I would be fine with winning: Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Iceland, Slovenia, Russia (yes, even though I feel like I'm the only one from western Europe feeling this way). Chances that one of my favs will win are not too bad 😊

Arcade by Duncan Laurence is the only song this year that made me feel something and brought me to tears. You can tell that he is really feeling this song and it's story while we are being hugged musically by this warm voice. This is definitely a winner based on talent and art craft. I am a singer myself and I can tell that he has an outstanding vocal technique on a very high level. Unlike other musicians, he has even written the song himself and is not singing the songs of composers. It's moving and real! That's what we want to see at Eurovision! My 12 points from Germany are definitely Netherland's this year! Personally, I don't see why Russia is so highly rated. It's not about the song itself in that case but the singer who is being liked by people (in mostly eastern Europe). He could also even compete with the theme song of the sesame street and people still would be cheering for him :P

Yeah) But all "our" songs are actually not ours at all. They either written by Swedish composers or by Greeks and Phillip Kirkorov. They all can be named outdated. Only live staging, vocals and charisma have been saving all our performances since 2013 (excluding I want Bake) . This year will not be exception) I can only hope that Sergey knows what he is doing. Cause I can feel that if he doesn't win this year, he will be back in 2021😂😂

*We all know that in the eurovision matters not only the song itself but also its presentation. We have seen many beautiful songs in the past going under because of bad appearance on stage. Surely there were songs that won only by their good performance, but that is an exceptioni think. I will definitely wait to see the rehearsals, to see if their voices are as good as in the videoclip, and also to see their stage presence.*
