You can’t activate the effect which decreases his power, he is invincible, and your opponent can’t summon monsters on top of that. That is just plain wrong. And a duel that lasted, and I’m not joking here, 50 turns for me. As I was facing that and refused to give up.
The motto of this one is a mix of "If you are nothing without Rhongomyniad, then you don't deserve to have Rhongomyniad" and "Never underestimate the power of the Ojama archetype/cards"

I feel like the biggest mistake Konami ever made was introduce the effect of not allowing the opponent to summon or special summon monsters. Like omni-negates are annoying but that's one thing. Not allowing your opponent to summon monsters for one turn is already a big stretch as to what's fair and healthy for the game. But to prevent them from summoning anything INDEFINITELY as long as the card remains and/or conditions are met? Like idk who thought people would like play YuGiOh just to quite literally not get to play YuGiOh.

Somewhat related, back in the day, in Duel Links, Castle Burn decks were super common for a while. It took some time, but eventually players learned not to attack while Golden Castle was on board. That said, since I managed to reach KoG with Castle burn when it was still new, I figured out the main weakness. Just don't attack ya dingus. Excellent edit as always Cat.
I'll never forget the card I deemed the only card able to defeat Great Magnus: Xyz Reception. See, for some reason, Xyz Reception doesn't affect the monster at first, it only affects the materials attached to that monster, detaching all of them... and then it bounces the Xyz monster. It is the most powerful spell in the game when threatened by such arrogance as Rhongo or Great Magnus.

If only you knew how long full ojama Combo was... Normally the schtick goes: Go secong and pray for handtraps/boardbreakers Crash Ojama Blue upwards of 3-4 times with Ojamatch (which Discards magic to search the vanilas) in the BP In MP you should have 3 Ojamassimilations and you literally have 3 cards that say "summon 3 guys frim deck that all float lmao" you can literally do whatever the hell you want. I like going for a 4 Mat Appo/Elf/I:P and ABC or summoning Appo Armed Thunder Lv10 and A-to-Z equipped with each ABC pieces making it a towers. Also if that wasn't enough you usually have enough resources for Saryuja so vefore you shuffle back ghe ojamas you can draw 4 and keep inly handtraps when you shuffle back the armed dragons or whatever you else you aren't using. This entire set up takes ~200 Seconds on the timer and that's ignoring how the timer pauses for animations :)
Assuming the Opponent lived somehow he'd only have two cards in hand left so it'd probably be smarter to either in MP2 make 4 Mat Appo using Accesscode or equip another set of A B and C to ABC making it a towers.
Had this same thing happen to me via somebody using a Numbers Eveil (or however it gets spelled) turbo deck in XYZ fest 2023. Was on Utopia and they didn't have the sales ban, so I just waited till it was effected then reduced its attack to 0 with Utopia Dragoner. That poor poor soul never saw the 0 attack Rhongo coming when they did finally draw sales ban the turn after it became affected. Never forget that modern cards tend to have more than one effect people.
@@codey90210 well no because sales ban has nothing to do with the card on the field but instead affects the name of the card as the wording is, "with the same original name as that declared card". It's like how evenly matched would banish rhongo as even though it is unaffected by card effects, the card itself doesn't banish rhongo but rather the opponent themselves banishes it.

Short version for new summons: XYZ summon (the black one) is just Fusion for same level creatures without spell, but the creatures are "attached" (put behind it) instead of going to the graveyard. Link (the dark blue) is just fusion without a spell. Also some arbitrary rules to nerf it. Basically, Konami realized that using spells for summons suck when you don't draw those spells. Funnily, ritual monster archetypes evolved over it.

@@codey90210 Sales Ban doesn't affect Rongo. It affects the player that controls Rongo. Its the same reason Evenly Matched is so powerful.
