People always think they know or understand toxic until it's been recontextualized. No side board means you always lose if you don't maindeck answers for a deck that's always the best in the first round :)

Slightly unrelated, but I play a Watt/Spright deck with a lot of cards that let me hold on *just* long enough to see the next turn. And because of how Watts tend to play and how my combos work out someone called my deck 'a budget Tenpai', and I wanted to slam down a Raigeki on his entire existence. Because I usually win against Tenpai players (mostly out of spite since he told me that).
I'm also new to the game! How are you going so far? What are the decks you play as a beginner? Me personally, I'm playing Swordsoul, Ninja and Tenpai bc cool deck!
@XwizzZap01 I was using red eyes when I first started, then numerons, dragon link, paleo, and shinobirds. now I mostly use mikanko and more fun decks like super quants and nouvellez (edit) I just got some really good tenpai pulls, so I'll be laying that soon

Unfortunately, haven't been so lucky with getting the field spell, I only have one, but if I craft at least a 2nd copy, my deck would definitely be playable, just not very competitive, because Numeron kinda needs a lot of staples. I have a playset of Maxx C and Ash, but I don't have Called By, Infinite Imperm (only one copy) and Forbidden Droplet (only one copy as well). But like I said, I could still have some success if I craft one more Numeron Network, which I think I will do! Fortunately, I have a playset of Numeron Wall!
I remember playing recently against a TENPAI deck, and I played against them THREATENING ROAR, one of my favorite Traps. The player was dumbfounded, he actually RAGED QUIT, and gave me the win! 🤣
8:07 Off topic, but I don't use Gamma in my deck, bc I'm broke, but I instead use PSY-Framelord Zeta in case my opponent summons a monster with very high ATK that cannot be destroyed by card effects!
Play ancient fairy dragon with ultimaya zolken and black winged dragon ❤😊 first summon AFD then summon fadra target chundra synchro into bident level 7 then summon zolken set a card special summon black wing level 8 then banish it and bident for black winged dragon wow right turn one 😂❤

Can we go back to ancient times when the game was played with giant stone slaps where Summoned Skull was a peak monster because he was 2500 attack for only one tribute?

honestly i dont know the reason why Bident pass for turn 1 is a good thing. whenever i saw Tenpai does that against my Tenpai deck i always say "if theres no Droplet or 2+ Counter Trap, thats a huge win". my turn 1 is always just try to get Kaimen + any 1 dragon or even 0 dragon, maybe Summoning if i can get that. with Summoning its always at least Chundra pass. if i can get 2 dragons on field i wouldnt even bother tapping into Extra, Bident nor Seals. the trio of Chundra-Fadra-Paidra literally wins against everything not named Forbidden Droplet or Black Rose (the latter assuming i dont have Summoning on field)
Eh, the really stupid part about tenpai is that is 75% hand traps and a one-card-combo. Anyway, I've switched to an FTK deck. With electromagnetic turtle as fail save. I toast to you, tenpai players, never stop chasing the meta🍷
