yeah Sapp fell because of character issues -- and they were right - he was & is a terrible human . yeah he was a leader on his teams defense for a decade and won a super bowl - but that does not make the other part wrong . To me there is no telling how good that team could have been without him. They had a lot of close misses and no telling what type of negative impact having a guy like Sapp around does . When I think back about the guys who were great players but bad people - long term they seem to be right - even if they are successful - bad things follow them wherever they go

Jalen Carter is better than Will Anderson but it's laughable what Simms said about Andersen. Remember when he said Zack Wilson was better than Trevor Lawrence? Now he's saying Anderson won't go in the top 10 and isn't even a top five EDGE rusher. It's not even good click bait it's so comically bad on the face of it. If he wants to argue Jalen Carter is better than Will Anderson, I'd agree even though it could be debated. At the NFL level, I think Carter is better than Anderson but I would happily take either of them with any top 10 pick from 1 to 10.

@@pjpredhomme7699e’s a two time national champion though, and defensive captain. Head coaches don’t pick captains as a popularity contest or because they have potential in the nfl. They pick the guys that can lead others by work ethic or performance that wins games and keeps the temperature steady.
I don’t know the guy personally and I don’t know how well he’s going to be a pro, but just based on his talent alone he will be serviceable.
I have concerns with him too but it’s nothing at all to do with the car accident, he didn’t cause it, apparently wasn’t drinking (this was hours after the national championship celebration). I’m sorry that chick lost control and killed people but she chose to get in that car, drunk, and not only drive, but race. All jalen did was participate in an illegal speed race.
My concerns are he apparently didn’t know a lot about the eagles before getting drafted, doesn’t know their history, or seemingly guys that are there even though they won the SB only 5 years ago and just went last year. He doesn’t have to be a scholar of the nfl, hell he doesn’t even have to love it, but he needs to be a professional, I think he’s capable of that. Either way eagles will be fine that was a luxury pick one you can take a big swing on Bc they’re up 3-0 in the count in the nfc. Middle pressure is the only thing that equalizes elite QBs recent history suggests so with all that being said that’s why it’s an A plus pick and will be even if he’s just a key rotation piece for 10 years.
