Great video jermaine, I've been working for caviar in Dallas for 3 months now. I'm starting to really like it! I've been working full time hours and making over a $100 a day at least. Let me ask you, out of all the food delivery apps out right now, which one have u enjoyed working for the most and why?? Keep up the good work 👍🏼😄

Yep.. this is right on. Been doing Ubereats for about 2 weeks here in the DMV. Incentive at peak times is $25/ hour here. Also do Postmates but refuse to schedule for my own flexibility, so pings from PM are low value or far away.
Got my bonus $100 for 25 deliveries after working just
4 days. Take the bonus and the incentives if you can.

With grubhub, you could have kept the food. Uber probably set that up themselves so that you wouldn't get paid HAHAHAHA.

True, now with Uber Eats has big bonuses in the beginning and gradually gets smaller. Around £4 a drop as a minimum. Sometimes not great with that acceptance rate thing. Drives you all around town hall, gotta love it

I don't think the reason that Uber is like this isn't due to them being "too big". They're not structured very well. They're trying to everything all at once. They're not centrally focused (they want to do courier services, transportation, etc). The reason DoorDash and Postmates are so efficient and much better is because their focus is 100% courier.
UberEats just recently (a month ago) opened in my market and I have yet to receive any requests >:(

    • @harrvey
      @harrvey 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Uber is only about monopolization and profit margins for the top corporate employees. As contractors, we are disposable/replaceable and have no long lasting ties to the company.
They have the infrastructure and the man-power at their disposal and yet they have done nothing to help their drivers and couriers. Drivers are not valued and will never be so. (Increasing low driving rates, no on app tip feature, lower Surg, the presence of autonomous cars, delivering premade food, etc).
Their competitors (Postmates, Cavier, DoorDash) on the other hand are far more upscale and know that when they treat their contractors well, they in turn will treat their customers well.

I hate to say it, but the beauty of the Uber model and why they'll be standing long after the others perish in the sure to be coming tech crash, is that it works from the "customer's" perspective. I'm sure you not making much per Uber Eats delivery equates to a more affordable service for its customers. The fact that Uber is cashless is the "killer" feature. The fact that once I hail a driver or order the food, I'm done with the entire transaction. Also, the price is so low that I'll do it frequently.
Now as someone that drives for Uber, it's perfect for me only because I already have a job. Uber is just extra money. I'm not trying to make a living off of something that is so volatile. That can change in an instant.
Uber really should be "only" considered something you do as a side gig. Just do until it dries up. Nobody was born to do any of this (except maybe sons and daughters of cab drivers). There has to be a higher and greater purpose in life. But if I want a new MacBook Pro or to go on a cruise, Uber takes care of that for now.

Clinging to uber is because there growing as far as on the eats side, it's a low fee for the customer the incentives are decent and it's extra spending money I only do like 4 trips because I try to make what I spent that day on food etc so when my paycheck comes from my regular job I can save more money

Hi Jermaine.. I like how you explain with details. Please could you let me know how I can inform uber that I do not want to drive passengers but only wish to be an uber eats delivery person. there's no contact number anywhere to let them know. I've been approved and received my bag (free) but their texts look like they think I'm going to drive passengers. I've had the bag for 3 weeks.. when will they lose their patience and knock me off their list. haven't not done one drive or delivery yet.

I drove for Uber today and got paid pretty good. I haven't drove for two months and today was off the hook. I really didn't keep up with the Uber e - mails but whatever happened today, worked. I tried Uber eats with your code and paid like $3.00 it was dope. I tipped the driver $5.00 because reasons lol. I have yet to do the Uber deliveries and don't know if I ever would. I think I would get irritated by the restaurants lagging on orders and having to race to get them delivered.

Ubereats has only been in OKC for 2 months I'm hoping business picks up as it gets more established in my area. But Door Dash has 998 restaurants to order from in my city. So I'll be driving for them this weekend to see if I can get more orders. I also signed up with postmates today. But it seems like Door dash has larger amount of clients so hopefully get more orders this weekend when I start driving for them.

In Las Vegas we have no way to contact support anymore. I had an issue and I had no way to get in contact with anyone. I had to go home and get on my computer so I could find an recent email, and hoped it was still an active account. I put in the header "I need help now" They didn't call me but they responded back via email and fixed my situation. I don't understand why these companies don't have support for there drivers. I just got approved for Uber eats. I will do it every now and then. it's just for a backup.

$20 5 hrs? You made no $ after gas. I would of called the restaurant and explained the situation. Asked if they really needed you to come back. They might say no keep it or give it away.
Acceptance rating can't get you canned anymore they were sued and lost over that policy. They may time you out for 2 mins but no deactivation

I just got approved for UberEats in Denver. I've received not much tutorial or help from Uber with my questions, as they seem to vary per city market. Do you get paid for mileage or anything for having to take the food back to the restaurant? That is definitely not going to work for me. Is there a cancellation fee at least? I'd rather give unwanted food to those in need here.
I agree Uber seems to be getting too big for its britches. I hear they are planning to, if not already started, giving AmazonFlex some competition in package delivery. AmazonFlex just arrived in Denver as well, I missed the first hiring round after the first few weeks here. Crazy industry.
Ironically here, Postmates has a larger delivery range than even UberEats, and DoorDash seems to serve up the most restaurants but I see more GrubHub here than anything. I guess every city is different. I appreciate your honesty about UberEats. I am going to try it...as soon as Uber can answer more questions about scheduling or not in my city? Etc. They just bg checked me and said you figure it out, pretty much.
I like Postmates for a few reasons, but one thing I don't like about many of these systems is the 5 star rating. You might have shed blood, sweat and tears for that person to get their delivery to them, but if they've had a bad day and want to kick the family dog, so to speak, it might be taken out on the delivery driver. Some people are so ungrateful, leaving $0.00 tips. It's downright rude; some people are cheapskates.

Wow, I live in Cleveland and work for a food courier service based out of Canada. If the customer is a no show, I can easily get a hold of the company instantly with a text or a phone call. If ultimately the customer does not claim the food, I still get paid on that order. Uber Eats however just opened up shop here too. Haven't done any work for them. I think for about 3 short days Uber Eats affected my paycheck because of brand recognition. But ultimately, the company I work for is far better at focusing on food delivery quality and I believe customers quickly recognized that. Also, an amazing article was released from a local free newspaper. I love the part about vertical pizzas, expensive vertical pizzas.

I watched your video the presentation was very good. one thing that I wanted to comment on was the part where you said that Uber eat eat told you to take the food back to the restaurant. I have worked in food service for many years and I know for a fact that a restaurant is only going to tell you to throw it away because it is against Health regulations for them to take the food back over the counter. Just like if you go to a McDonald's and your burger is not right if you hand it to the person working behind the counter all they're going to do is throw it away. So personally I would not drive back to the restaurant unless they were going to pay me to drive back and give me credit for that for them to just throw it away when I can throw it away myself from my experience most of these driver delivery companies tell you that if you do not get a hold of the customer and you've made every effort and they cannot get ahold of the customer then the food is yours to do what you want to with. It's not like we people are out here to drive around and waste our gas and narc to go back to a restaurant for the food to be thrown away I enjoy your videos

It's a shame; I've been on Uber Rush and Uber Eats since they first started here in NYC (first training sesh for Instant Eats), and the bigger they've gotten, the more impersonal and no-fucks-given they've become. The only incentive they usually have here is $10 for 3 deliveries, with one starting before noon, if they're expecting a lot of business. Not worth sticking with.

I think Uber is shady with their tips too because I work for Uber and caviar. I get to do less deliveries with caviar and door dash but literally every one tips but Uber i do ten times more deliveries than the other companies but only get like two people or 3 give tips.

Jermaine Ellis Very sorry to hear that. I drove in Knoxville, TN last night for the hourly guarantee. Had some weird glitches with app like you've shared. One ride just disappeared while still in transit. While in the process of dropping the passenger off, I received a new ride request and could not accept it. Needless to say, after hearing videos like yours, I was very skeptical. Overall, I did well though. Lyft is just now getting established in our area. A good tip you could share with your drivers is this (if you haven't already): I had 1000 business cards printed at staples for under $30. I have people text my cel phone for the free code. I set up auto reply with my free ride ($50) referral link. I give the card to all my Uber passengers as well as drop them off at all the night spots. It's really starting to take off. Any how, you have a great channel that is very beneficial for people. Thank you!

That's ullshite you shoukd have just marked it delivered and wait for the best you could. Ninja you way in give them the food. This bs happened too many times and I WISH I marked it delivered and moved on. Give to homeless. 4$ an hour is the average. Its evil.
