Yep, AC 3000ME. This was mid engined with the Ford 3 litre V6 Essex engine. I remember the motor show car from 1973 took 5 years to finally enter production in 1978.
The AC, and apologies if I'm late answering, appears to be an ME3000, possibly the second best car ever to have an Austin Maxi gearbox in its sump. Mmmm, maximum stretchy cable fun.😊
Alex, all Triumph Acclaims are 4-door saloons. They're the 1st Gen Honda Ballade (itself the saloon verison of the 2nd Gen Honda Civic) built under licence at the Cowley works as the first product of the BL/Honda partnership. That yellow car is indeed an AC (Electric) according to the DVLA. The exact model is unknown to them. The red BMW E30 is an M3 and is the only 4-cylinder M3. That particular Mercedes-Benz 450SL is the R107 which is one of the best cars Mercedes built (up there with the W123). I've seen a 1984 380SL on display at my local Mercedes dealer (Mercedes-Benz of Bradford).
I pulled up to have a look here once, then got a phone call and had to go before I had chance to look at the place. Think I mentioned it to b&b and smashing pistons, but its been a pretty busy year for all, so we never got anything sorted to take a trip there
Hi Alex, I really enjoyed thos vlog, another one for "The Bucket List", is this place on an old railway site? The name and style of the older end of the building sort of lends itself to it as it looks like a former loco shed. That yellow AC car might have been a later model, they used to make a sports car range named Cobra, they were around at the same time as the Austin Healeys...I'm sure you'll find them on Google...That Bristol looked the business I must say, the rear end of those always looked well solid. I think you were right about those brown seats being for an 1100/1300... Shame your snack was disappointing, I like a nice bit of crumpet as well...😅 Seriously though, tjey were all very good allowing you to film there, I think they recognised you...🙂 Thanks for sharing and as ever, Take care, Jom B.
@@jaybee1921 I was thinking along the same lines as you which is why I wanted to know what the former use of the building was. I'm interested in railways as well, the London Underground in particular. I've made some models as well.
Don't tell me, when you pitched up, they recognised you and said, "Hi Alex, come on in and have a look round our units"... or is it that walking around with a camera on a stick gets you into places that are not normally open to the public? Whatever, that was a great look around "Great Northern Classics", a place in which I am sure very large sums of money regularly change hands.
Haha no one recognised me 😅 . But i did keep pestering the lady on reception saying what else is there to see / film for my youtube videos 😅😅 . I was begging to go and look at the Armstrong.... they almost gave in! But they said no they really can't because so many expensive customer cars in there they don't want them getting upset with public walking around them ect. 😄 . Fair enough. At least he took me down to the conference room so i could get a closer look......
@@Alexsassets Well, if you don't ask, you don't get, so always worth a try. It was an interesting looking building with its arched windows. I wonder what it's history is.
This was great. Lots of variety and you covered so much!! 😊😊😊
Great explore Alex. Fantastic place, looks well worth a visit.
Great video Alex. definitely worth a visit.

It's an AC 3000me, a 70,s car. The red BMW is e30 m3

Nice bikes, Sustain fuels! I really want to buy some of that. Some very interesting stuff there. Toast? IT'S NOT CRUMPET!
1:59 Old racing Honda! ❤
3:15 😮
The yellow AC 3000 ME is one of my favorite cars. They have a Ford 3 litre engine and only just over a hundred were made by AC.
Turbocharged to boot, this one was the 1976 motor show car

My question is answered by looking at their website. It was the Victoria Ironworks foundry.
@@simon.easton Well done for looking that up Simon...👍🙂
