For the light control stuff, you might want to take a look at setting up Home Assistant on a cheap PC or a Raspberry Pi or something. Works with tons of equipment of all varieties, including Elgato and Yeelight stuff, and there's an excellent Stream Deck plugin that cleanly integrates with HA and gives you control over it. I currently use it to control three different devices in my computer room: the overhead lights, a set of RGB lights, and my air conditioner. All works flawlessly through that plugin :)

Although I don't and have a desire to stream, this is my favorite informative video you have put together. Along with the fact I really enjoy your personality on your videos. Back to the point, I love this video probably because I want to get a 2nd XL device for DaVinci. However, I would have my plus on the left and the 2 XL's side by side (personal preference). One thing you didn't explain in detail, at 9:32 I can understand using profiles to change the Stream Deck but how do you cause that to occur on a different Stream Deck?

One thanks for the Streamdeck reboot. Elgato and TH-cam chat commands have not played well together for over 2 years. They just time out unless you reboot the program. TWO What action are you using to toggle the pedal action bar?! I have looked everywhere @nutty.

First time on your channel. Definitely subscribed. This was amazing! Love the attention to small details and scenarios. "Saves brain power" is such and underrated statement.
The one thing that was a bit off for me was the one button on the right hand deck to change the "profile" of the left dynamic deck. I would think the "Dynamic" deck itself would have at least one dedicated key in the same spot on all "profiles" to switch it's own profile. I think this would use less brain power as well since it remains on the deck that controls it's own state, and you are already facing the direction of the next button press for the reason you are switching to that profile in the first place.

Long Press needs to just be a general setting across the board with Stream Deck. I assume they don't want that though, since people will realize they don't need to get the XL as frequently.

Great video, the main thing I got from it is that I need a bigger streamdeck.. :)
I use just one streamdeck on my stream rig and one on my game rig, it's a bit of a nightmare and I'd like a bigger one (thats what she said) but I've made it work by generally having a main splash page with the most used things and then some sub folders and pages with the lesser used things for making life simpler like being able to connect directly to a discord channel. Generally on most deep rooted folders or pages, I'll have a link directly to my main "splash page" so I can get out of where I am and back again without having to press back or up on the folders a million times, it uses up some space but in the long run I found it to save time and frustration, I've always wanted a "back" button on the side of the deck tbh.
I run a few plugins like a discord plugin, audio monitoring/source/mixer plugin, obs tools plugin and probably a bunch more that I forget over the time of using it.
Here's a run down of my setup, I've always meant to make a video but never got round to it lol
    Main "screen" that has:
Folder for NDI sources, Folder for gameplay zooms, folder for a replay suite, break screen, gameplay screen, capture replay, some memes I'll use regularly, camera on and off, screen blocker
NDI folder has NDI audio and video source control for three other computers (my two sons and my gf, as we play together), folders for positions of the NDI to give them focus and a folder for game overs on my son's PCs for when they're grounded :)
Second page on my streamrig stream deck has these folders:
"Camera Admin" which is where I can move my camera to pre set points on my screen, blur it plus restart the logitech software
"Screen Blurs" to blur any video source I have access to including the NDIs ect
"Memes" Things I dont use very often but like to keep access to like a classic GTA wasted for example
"Mics and Audio Sources" pretty straight forward
"Discord Capture" so I play with a few people from the stream and I have a discord capture setup, I have it setup with mutiple folders inside depending on how many people I'm playing with up to 4 others, to be able to optimally crop to show the most of their views, plus being able to individually zoom in on their captures at any time.
"Stream Elements" which is just like pausing alerts and reloading overlays should I need it
"Ads" I don't use it very often at all as an affiliate but I like to have everything handy if needed
"Start/Stop Stream" Lots of multi actions and direct scenes if anything breaks. The multi actions tend to restart certain softwares like logitech to make the settings kick in, starts the stream, runs a 3min ad to remove 60mins of pre-roll (pretty much the only time I do run an ad), mutes audio sources so intros run without doubling audio, post intro multi actions to clear any memes that got stuck and turn audios on or off where needed, closes down NDIs left open from previous streams. The stop button does similar but copies out any "replays" that I saved to a seperate folder so I can delete all of the raw recorded seperate footage easily.
Again, this page isn't used much during the stream unless I use discord or need to blur something.
Third page is just a few random tools and a sleep button plus a dumping ground for loading the odd image I need to display (tarkov maps for example when I was learning them).
    Game rig stream deck:
Mostly just folders of sound effects for comedic timing, all linked to play through the mic for extra comedic. Have a spotify media list of buttons on it but so does my keyboard, also a button to control audio sources with the buttons as sliders.
