Everybody keeps talking about how they tried, failed, and let the pros just do it. Well I’m trying to become a pro so these are good videos for that matter, and only way to gain the skill set to become a pro is trial and error while taking notes from the pros themselves. 👍🏻
Wow I just tinted a fiat 500 shaped the same it literally gave me hell I’ve only been tinting for a month lol it took me 5 days to perfect it and I still had little creases in certain spot but nothing to major.
Thanks for the video. I have a 2004 Passat 1.8T 5-Speed Wagon that I am restoring. Currently have 2 amplifiers running in the back and I want to refresh myself on tinting since its been a minute. Wasn't sure how to approach the trunk hatch. Having some UV blocking Nano tint will help keep the insides cool so my equipment doesn't burn up. 😉
i tried tinting bmw e46 wagon rear window and i wasted 2 rolls of tint only because I tried tinting without heat gun and then I tried using hair drayer and only got half window tinted and even that half window had "fingers" I think I will buy heat gun and more tint because I want to learn this skill :)

it always looks so easy on youtube, yet I can't do it 😄 tried a few times, always ended up throwing that effing film in the bin and doing something else
is so easy when you do it :) i have problems with top edges on golf 5 every time. Maybe my misstake is thats i start from middle to the sides and also my clients want cheep film
Which film do you recommend I just did a corolla hatchback own I tried walmart and autozone and those are garbage too thin it wrinkles when I used the heat gun and rip so easy what brand do you recommend
Hey man, I'm not sure If someone asked you did already, but you know when you cut that film around the wiper, where did that round cut go? I couldn't see it when you finally installed the film. It looks to me that it was all straight, did you cut it again straight? If you did that, would that have been shorter? Please explain. Thanks.
How do you do this? I keep putting cresses in the film. The door windows are so easy compared to the back. I have a evo 9 I don’t think the glass is curved that much. I’m on probably my 6th pice of film I’m about to give up. I’m in Michigan as well how much would you charge for the back Im using the lexen carbon
What about them beans appearing in the middle after you squeegee everything they usually apers in half an hour or so . Nearly every VW or Audi window of newer cars does that
Tried tinting the back of my 02 WRX and it kept pinching and creasing, used xpel and soap bar to prep. Will be trying dryer sheet next, soap probably made it stick too much (even though I did h pattern) every swipe of my felt card was a crease. 🥲 thanks for your pointers!
I was struggling with creasing a lot of back windows and it made me realize that the card is the problem even though more experienced window tinters told me its from me using a card i didn't believe it until after I failed many times use a glove to smooth it all out and omce its all nice and shrunk with no big chunks of film then use a card to flatten it out
Ahh that’s interesting . I never liked using a glove and learned with a gold Teflon card. I’ll have to look into that. Always looking for easier ways to help people along
Who here has ran into ur film getting wierd scratches at different angles while installing it ..and it mostly at the bottom..after everything is installed..I have to pull it off ..such a pain in the ass ..even on windshields it happens
Now I've watched a couple videos on tinning. And the hair dryer Usage. But damn your video shows a whole lot more and it looks amazing. So not only now do I know that my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee tent that I bought cut out oh I just got to put some fucking square in it. Is so far off I want to shoot myself. Well done thank you and keep it up coz because none of these videos that I've watched really show that whole heat shrink not hair dryer heat shrink. Thank you

Genius,,,I've tried on my golf 5,was nerve wrecking, just let the pros do it.this video really motivates me to keep trying..thank you...excellent job👌🙏
This is easy one for golf 5 , its not even close
Golf 5 is one of the if not the hardest window to shrink
You make this look soooo easy... Not looking forward to do this myself though😂
Well i came here to tint my rear window, it failed miserably but thanks for teaching! I'll have my re-tint the rear window again.
I failed twice this afternoon
Same :( Didn't know i needed to shrink it :P Cheers
Looks easier than it is doesn’t it, it’s definitely a skill that needs to be learnt

Dam you made that look eazy!! I’m working on a 02 civic hatchback ep3. Tired it once and I had trouble. Going to tackle it again tomorrow.
I’d like to see one done on an older VW Beetle. I had a heck of a time with the back window
Great job! Can you show how to do it with ceramic tint? Shrinking them is so much harder for me.
That's perfect, I see what was my mistake cutting it on the edge when I shrink it I keep burning some edges good advice

Do you have results now ?

Did one a few weeks back. I need to schedule a class with you.
Awesome video. Yes some of these are a Pain to do. I just did the harder one a week or so ago and it faught me.
it always looks so easy on youtube, yet I can't do it 😄 tried a few times, always ended up throwing that effing film in the bin and doing something else
Some of these are a PITA. I just did one too that took 3 tries.
This is going to help me tint my GTI thanks.

I don't care what anyone says, I like my rabbit seals. The best seals on any car, I can't hear all the noise outside the car. It's freaking awesome.
What are rabbit seals? You mean VW Rabbit?
@@seanguy9720 Yes, 2007 VW rabbit.
The same thing with my 1987 Scirocco 16v the seals around the front doors and the trunk lid seal are very tight, it's like closing a "Bank Vault".
I needed this video lol perfect timing
what is this white thread and where can I get it in Russia or what can I replace it with?
What kind of tape is that white tape?
Thanks for that video helped me How to tint my customers VW GOLF 2016. What kind of white tape you used and the squeegee? Thanks in Advance
this one is easy the older models ones are the hard one
Qual nome da fita branca colada em volta do vidro para demarcar a serigrafia ?

Hello
At what temperature should we work at bay 6 Thank you very much
HI. What material is the tool you use to thermoform the film? Thank you. 😂
What brand of film do you use? Thank you

Thank you but the mono crystals in the glass and how they are designed collect dirt if you squee side ways.
No way I have a Golf! This is a great tutorial
man hes slick with it
Hi, what temperature do you set the heat gun to?
Where to buy that clay bar you were talking about ???
How do you do this? I keep putting cresses in the film. The door windows are so easy compared to the back. I have a evo 9 I don’t think the glass is curved that much. I’m on probably my 6th pice of film I’m about to give up. I’m in Michigan as well how much would you charge for the back Im using the lexen carbon
So I managed to tint the rear. Now I’m running into the issue that the tint isn’t sticking to a portion of the black dots on the bottom of the window.
I’m hoping you’ve realized the Lexen film is the issue
Hello Matt, whats the purpose of rubbing a drying sheet on the glass? Thanks
what do you use for spraying?? soapy water? or some special compound? Is the point to be slippery? Thanks.
I tried tinting my Civic ep3 hatch and wasted 8 feet of film kept bunching up in corners I gave up going to take it to a shop!
Hello what tint do you recommend for best shrinkage?
Have a vid of the vw Beetle? The newer 1
What are you using to press the tint out on the outside
MacTac
Is that heat gun on the low setting or high setting?
Seems a lot have asked this. All the way up.
what is that white tape that you stick along the window before you cut the tint to size? and where can you order it?
Glass Aid that he sells
where can I get that tape from?
Tint depo it’s $7
@@straightfactsbigracks2358 glass aid
Hello, At what temperature do you use the heat gun?
Turn the heat gun all the way up and use distance to help with the heat.
How many inches roll do I need to tint rear window
Thank you. I had problems with it.
My heat gun has 2 settlings , which is better the higher heat 1 or the lower hear?
Higher.
With how many degrees do you shrink it?
Turn it all the way up.
Great job 👍
Ive tried 2 times getting pretty mad that i cant do it, but i will keep trying, i wouldnt think that the fact im using walmart tint would matter
Hi, what should be the temperature?
What kind of squeezer is that
Will the film damage the demister lines when taking it off again in the future?
It can happen yes, be sure to make sure the custom understands this, I have a little T&C document for them to sign ✍🏽
What’s the dryer sheet trick all about??? 🤔🤔
Removes lint
Do all films shrink this way ? Can the film melt if too much heat applied ?
Yea they all do, some slower than others. You can mess it up really easily either not shrinking enough or over shrinking so it takes practice
How many heat gun temperatures??🙏🏻
Put it to full and bring it outwards to your from the tint and determine what is the best place to hold your heatgun
Gostaria de saber que marca é esse filme ? Porque está muito fácil moldar .
Hello
What temperature is the gun?
Thanks
Did he remove film cover before heating it with the heat gun?
Leave the liner on.
So easy ~ korea is tinter world
Why didnt you put on the tint in the inside of the window
❤ Excellent...
What heat setting are you using?
Always the highest, control the temperature output by moving it closer/further away to the glass
Do all tints stretch ?
None stretch, they all shrink
What about them beans appearing in the middle after you squeegee everything they usually apers in half an hour or so . Nearly every VW or Audi window of newer cars does that
I’d try turning on the defrost on 1 min before install. Leave it on until you are done installing the film. Helps me on chargers and 300s
@@DetroitTintStudio I have that problem with Chrysler 300s for sure. Never used the defrosters until I saw you doing it on vehicles. Very smart!
@Tint Studio clay bar always on those. then after the first shrink lift film and re shrink again. good luck.
Filmi camın üzerine koyduğu zaman cama ayrı birşey sürüyor onun için film hiç yapışmıyor
would this not get chipped or scratched really easily.
How?
Tried tinting the back of my 02 WRX and it kept pinching and creasing, used xpel and soap bar to prep. Will be trying dryer sheet next, soap probably made it stick too much (even though I did h pattern) every swipe of my felt card was a crease. 🥲 thanks for your pointers!

Its golf 7 and that ia easy . Hard ones for beginers are golf 5 and 6. There is not even close to golf 7.
Can I use a hair dryer instead?
What is the temperature of the machine?
All the way up, then use distance to work the heat.
Who here has ran into ur film getting wierd scratches at different angles while installing it ..and it mostly at the bottom..after everything is installed..I have to pull it off ..such a pain in the ass ..even on windshields it happens
your tools are scratching the film get new ones. use a bulldozer for the back window at the bottom.
Lovely
Adamsınız 👍👍

Same works
Fuck when i apply heat and want to make it flat my foil break and make those tiny lines, btw is china cheap one 😅
show how to tint without the tape havent seen not one person do it smh
I do it
Take your pick, creature comfort vs uncompromising rear view
easy for profesional...i try it,but i failed...5 hours..🤦....still failed
Same
Mk7 is not hard. Mk5 is more interesting :D
It still has it challenges but yea I mentioned to the older one was more difficult. I’ll do the same things on that one that as in this video
My 1987 Scirocco 16v was a lot of work. I had to remove the rear hatch lid and the rear side windows.
Can i got work...
👍
Omg I hate that back glass
Wtf?
It looks like you missed a couple of inches along the drivers side.
What kind of shit is that?
U need new glasses Paul
Mistr
stupid divorce of lazy scammers. you need to glue it from the inside, otherwise the film will quickly be scratched
Excuse me maam?
You didnt watch the entire thing did you?
Good job but surprised the tint didn’t burn as you were giving it a lot of heat.
Great job though.
Keep the heat gun moving so you don't burn the film.
That's what I was thinking! like, what kind of film is that?? my Global wouldn't be so kind.
What is the white tape?
