- Building a hot rod in a cramped garage can be dangerous at times! This week I invest in some Converse style safety shoes to protect my tootsies from falling objects so I thought I’d give you a little review and first impressions of them and let you know if I thought they were worth it!

About me: After some MAJOR life changes I'm finally working on my hot rod! And yes, I mean hot rod. Not a street rod, not a rat rod. HOT ROD! I'll be building this as a traditional build but not to a single time period. I'm building a car that would have been constantly modified from the 40's in to the 60's. My goal is to use all parts from before 1966 (the year I was born).

Great advice. Comfort, durability, and style. Always good things to keep in mind. I noticed in an old video you had a cool, long sleeve, welding shirt. Where did you pick that up?
That welding shirt was my Dad’s so I have no idea where he got it. He gave it to me since he doesn’t use it anymore. It’s great when it’s cooler out but it is to hot for the summers here.
