I usually see new cars (Cyber Truck Twice already...smh!!!) but i have yet to see these train wrecks yet, maybe its a blessing in disguise I don`t want to spoil my appetite
This is a quick and raw video I took at the dealership today that is CHARGING ADMs on a HORNET (LOL, seriously). Absolutely zero production value... still delivers all the laughs.
In 2019, i bought one of the last new jeep JKUR on the lot. Couldn't give them away, as the new JL had come out mid year. Sticker was 41730. We bought for 36,200, because i had no idea what "door guards" were. Lol, but they tried 300 for wheel locks..."its on all our cars!" I said, the wheels/tires will be changed by this time tomorrow, dont need, dont want...while he lamented with my wife, i founf the mopar locks on Amazon. 😂😂😂 32.00, slid my phone in his face, and LOUDLY, while 4 other deals were happening said..."I'll eat 200 for your crappy door stickers cuz theyre on, but im not paying 300 for some sh*t i can buy on Amazon for 30!" This dealership is a place that rings a bell, and takes your picture when someone buys a car... they didn't even say goodbye to us. 😂😂😂😂😂 next day, i brought their wheel locks back, told em i hope this helps them make them some more money...
I walked away once because of a $250 dealer installed lojack style device. They were saying oh but it'll help lower your insurance. Oh really, you called my insurance and they said ok pay $250 for a dealer LoJack and we'll lower the insurance on the backend...😒😂
Yeah, my insurance said that they count alarms and keyless entry is the same as lojack there was no discount. They use this to control the inventory and pass the cost onto you. When I’m done with my one-year mandatory contract, I will not renew because if they steal my car, I want it to be totaled. I don’t want it back.
LMAO at "Tallahassee Advantage" $2999 for things like nitrogen filled tires and a $50 coupon to fix a tire!! Scams like this need to be 100% optional! its 1/10 the price of that car for nothing of value.
AMC sold a lot of Hornets. I was around back then, and AMC Hornets were everywhere. The Hornet Sportabout was very popular. AMC also got a lot of years out of the Hornet platform. After the AMC Hornet ceased production the platform was used for the AMC Eagle. The Dodge Hornet is a real dud. I have yet to see one on the road. Dodge Hornet is a real failure.
if you cant sell something the immediate and most effective solution is to lower the price, but nooooo thats to much for the feeble dodge dealershio brain
@@thanosianthemadtitanic Exactly. They're too stubborn for their own good. I really hope the market goes back to not long ago, when there were levels. You had entry level cars, mid-range cars, luxury, then the super/exotic/hyper cars. It's like all car makers are making mid-range/luxury the lowest tier now. 5 years ago, that crappy little Hornet would have been a ~$20k entry level car.
I just saw a news report saying Stellantis is knocking off $4-$9,500 off on all of their vehicles to move them because both dealerships and manufacturers lots are overflowing with unused inventory and they’re having to slow down production as their vehicles stay on the lots for over 100 days while all other manufacturers have an average of only 50 days on the lot. Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep is struggling to sell vehicles but had the audacity to mark up inventory.
I refuse to buy dealer options. Walk out of the dealership that refuses to strike them. There are dealers that will sell wo adding crap options. DO NOT reward the ones that dont.
These rebadge Alfa Romeos ,call the Dodge Hornets are the biggest peace of junk !! They are already falling apart !! With major problems, with water leaks, electric problems, and Mechanical problems !! I highly suggest for anyone to stay away from these small SUV'S 🤮🤮🤦♂️🤦♂️👎👎👎👎
Dodge better be careful. They are already on thin ice after screwing the challenger and charger and TRX. They only have two vehicles right now. The hornet and Durango
My neighbor bought one for his daughter at a discount. They are overpriced, but they are fun to drive and nicely fitted. I believe he got a $7,500.00 discount plus a lower interest rate. This was a major mistake on Stellantis' part for rebadging an Alfa Romeo as a Dodge. Dodge needs to get back to its' roots and build a modern NEON, give the Pacifica Minivan back to Dodge, and build cars people want to buy again.
After not having seen any outside a CJDR lot I've seen two Hornets on the street in the past week, both with random way-out-of-state license plates and no dealer stickers on them. I suspect one of the big rental companies got a deal on some unsold stock.
The 3000 dollar addon for a list of nothing... That was pretty good. Yep I'd say these stealerships have screwed themselves out of ever seeing my money again. I mean even if they took all the added charges off. That's still more than I paid for my loaded 08 srt8 in late 08. It was a good vehicle too. I paid less for it than they want for a hornet, and the hornet is just Alfa trash.
im an older guy, when you take a beloved name like an amc honet and then stick it on a disposable pos dodge byproduct you have ruined any chance of a sale to me. why didnt they resurrect the Neon nameplate instead?
Plus on top of these new Dodge Hornets, with there major problems, they are price way too high !! So this is a failure for Dodge !!! Plus with there, european boss Stellantis now take over ,the whole Chrysler Corporation Company ,they are going right down the drain fast !! And will the CEO of Dodge and SRT Tim Kuniskis stepping down at the company at just 57 years old now ,things are not looking to good for the brotherhood !!🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️👎👎👎👎
if you cant sell something the immediate and most effective solution is to lower the price, but thats to much to for the feeble dodge dealership brain to handle.
I don’t think I’ve seen the first Hornet on the road,,,,,,,,,,, of course it’s probably easily lost in the sea of tiny SUV’s,,,,,,,,,,,, a tiny pickup might have been money more smartly spent, I think Fiat has one of those.
I have yet to see anyone driving a hornet
I’ve seen one
It was an older lady. Poor thing probably went in to look at a Jeep or Durango 😅😢
I finally seen 2 in 1 week 😂separate days
They had an 11 year old driving one in the ad. Interesting marketing tactic
@JayCentra
"What you need is freakin' torque!"
You could see the disclaimer saying how everything was done with the green screen.
I’ve seen like 1 this whole year 😂
This flop is not selling
That dealer can just keep those cars
Cut prices in half, if they ever want to sell.
Do these dealerships not want to sell their vehicles?
I've never seen one of these on the road. There are so many better choices...like the CRV or Rav4.
I usually see new cars (Cyber Truck Twice already...smh!!!) but i have yet to see these train wrecks yet, maybe its a blessing in disguise I don`t want to spoil my appetite

They look like a cheap Fiat
That's because they are just that!
The interior is extremely basic. Literally looks like the glued an iPad on the dash along with generic buttons below it. Definitely not worth $40k
They essentially are
The "Tallahassee Advantage" 😂😂😂
The screw you advantage.

They’ll ultimately have knock 6-8k off the original msrp to move these.

How about the $500 sanitation fee!!😂, just PURE GREED
@@James-vl1xd LOL sanitation of a brand new car! Thats wild!
@@mikeicee right
The air we breathe is 70% Nitrogen.
$37,400! MSRP! Before markups. I have yet to see one in the wild. Now I know why. They’re all sitting on the lot with crazy prices.
I wonder why they can’t move any cars? 🤔
Sells about as well as the 1970-73 AMC Hornet. 😅

@ericknoblauch9195 yeah, I was making a joke. I actually owned a Hornet.
I have seen these ugly things in the $50 thousand dollar range!I have only seen one on the road!
Figured they were giving these away like the darts. Might as well get the alfa version
Basic logic is extremely challenging for dealerships.

Naw it isn't, that's PURE GREED, they can drive their GOT DAMN SELF, just Price GOUGING
I’d hate to be paying that dealer’s interest on the floor plan.
I’m more pissed of the unnecessary advantage package than the dealer markup

You said that they’ll never sell to anyone who has a brain. But that’s the problem. It seems that consumers have lost all of their brains. SMH.
dodge or any dealer in general will complain that consumers arent buying their cars, but the dealers are having mark ups
I refuse to buy dealer options. Walk out of the dealership that refuses to strike them. There are dealers that will sell wo adding crap options.
DO NOT reward the ones that dont.
Stellantis should be *paying* people to take their junk. Who in their right mind would buy anything from that company? 😂
Just insane
Should have called it the Malcom X edition, would help boost sales to their target demo
There’s a overflow parking lot near me that has probably 300 of these things just sitting

With $37k you can buy a 22 Tacoma and save yourself a headache 😂

The prices dropped dramatically, you can a new Hornet for $16k now & can’t sell those cars.

why didnt they resurrect the Neon nameplate instead?
Dealer mark up on something no one is buying, lol.
That car shouldn't be price no more than 23 24000
I think I’ve seen maybe 4 Hornets, and 2 were on a rental lot
I have yet to see one on the road.
I didnt know these existed. 24 mpg is garbage
Who would want an Alfa Romeo? Much less a rebadged one.
I’ve seen one (Gold) on the road in my area (Roanoke Virginia) since they were launched 🫤 no one wants their junk.
I’m a mopar mechanic and I would never buy a hornet so I bought a brand new 2024 Mitsubishi RVR cause dodge didn’t have anything for 25k cdn
I also, have never seen a Dodge Hornet on the road

Advantage plan=plan to take advantage of you!
Maybe it will help if you call it the AMC Hornet.
Well, what do you expect wen you see a green hair woman in the commercial and an underage kid driving one??
37k plus for an economy car, insane, crazy, ridiculous, brains have left the building type of stuff

Interesting
I saw they were marking up 4 runner trd pros like 17k. Market adjustment. Bs.
Each of those extra services are high-margin items. Sheer desperation. Maybe they're hoping for a busload of mentally-challenged buyers to arrive.
50 percent off MSRP.
I bet they're just as shitty as a dodge intrepid. Buyers will be stung with repairs.
It is too expensive at MSRP.
Hornet=P. O. S
Comical
40% + overpriced ❤
That’s a $27 thousand dollar car…
I’d really have to say..👎
What a junk!
Sarcastic, not cynical. Google big words before you use them.
