@@tlitesworldthey are underrated by everything that you believe about it. All your views on this car are proof that it's underrated. It's also proof that you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.
"I love the classic vintage Dodge Hornets so much, I'm willing to pay $36K for a grocery getter, soccer mom crossover version of the Dodge Hornet"....said nobody.
Said nobody had me 😂😂 laughing for about 5mins
Big discounts on the Alfa equivalent in UK. Still overpriced 😂
I’m pretty sure it’s not reliable like the hornet in my opinion 😂
@@tlitesworld alfa have a unique reputation when it comes to reliability 😂 But one would also argue that in this case the problem isn't specific to Dodge or Alfa, the underlying problem is the customers were ignored, the soul of the brands is missing, the vehicle was designed for profit and whichever badge they place upon this frankenstein SUV, it has no place in Dodges or Alfas line up, it isn't what the customer wants.
Fuck new car prices. I wanted a truck, they want like $40k-$50k for one nowadays. Hell no, I got one from an earlier model year higher mileage and just built it up to my liking, rebuilt the engine too. $20k total I got a truck just as good as a new one and i'm never getting rid of it, ill just keep fixing it. Up yours to all the dealers.
You’re doing it the right way my friend 👍
Jeep Compass and Hornet. Lots, most of manufactures make overlapping vehicles (badge engineered). Compass and Hornet are after different segments of people and branding. They Hornet's problem its price and that is based on an Alfa Romeo. ( VWAG VW: Toureg & Audi: Q7 & Porsche: Cayenne are all the same just tweeked for each brands identity and the best one VW Phaeton & Bently Contental and Flying Spur all same bqsic car)
Great info my friend 👍
Hilarious! The hornet may be over priced but no damn body thinks that the compass and the hornet is comparable. The hornet looks way better than the compass and the compass does not have a hurricane in it. The Hornet is way faster than the compass with way more horsepower, and the hornet is a brand new model the compass is a outgoing model where they're going to retool the plant for a whole year before the new model comes out. So they may be overlapping vehicles but only for a second
Man that mf raw, the problem is it's to small they should've made it the same size as the compass, through a V6 in it or a V8.. If they would've did that the hornet would've cold Nbs
I agree about the v8
I love it bc its small. It really squeezes everywhere and is fast for a daily commute. Plus I only have 1 passenger every now and then.
No chance in hell for junk. I'd rather ride the bus.
Not the bus though 😂
Driving a Hornet is BIG SIMPING
Hey, just because the bus ticket is all you can afford that's fine. But that doesn't make this car junk. You need to educate yourself kid
@@austinpowers1999try speaking actual English kid, not your degenerate slang
Anything but that bus 😭
Even the other Brembo said SRT on them. That looks like a Brembo to me for sure and it most likely is. it’ll say on the sticker
I’ll check on it this weekend
Just found out they do come come with real brembos you’re right my friend
I would definitely buy this car, but not for 30k they 20k I’m in
20k is the perfect price for a hornet fully loaded
You won't be buying any car in this class at 20k. You need to educate yourself on the car market kid
@@jasonmorehouse3756 you lack reading comprehension, cause that’s not what I said.
You can buy one in the used car market or buy it from Hertz.
Gimma a Hell Hornet...for 35k full maxed out.
Do they make hell hornets
@@tlitesworld Nah but they should.
I’d buy it if it came down under 15k
Me too
Im planning on getting one
Wow 😮 hopefully it works out for you my friend I just think you can get something much better for the price
This car is basically a Chevy Trax not worth the money Dodge
Just saw a trax yesterday
Not even on the same level as a Chevy Trax. The Trax is an economy piece of shit. Nowhere is near comparable between the two vehicles other than they both have four tires and a steering wheel.
You right.
👍
I definitely wouldn’t say it’s junk, these things are quick and pretty snazzy looking, but who buys new cars anymore, it’s just dumb when you could get the same thing 5, 8, however many years down the line for cheaper. And when you compared the engines you shoulda compared the 1.3L as that’s the real reason plate buying the hornet not that old 2.0L that comes on the base model.
Thanks for your input
those are brembo brake calipers just with a Dodge logo. brembo has already confirmed it
Appreciate your input, but I already addressed that my friend if you look in the comments, you’ll see what I’m saying. I do agree with you they are brembos but tell me why does a dodge hornet need Brembo brakes? Another expense pushed onto the customer that is unneeded and unwanted regular brakes would’ve been just fine painted the caliber red would’ve been just fine. You don’t need Rembles but I’m just a little guy what do I know
Lot rot 😂 ya those hornets should start at 19 ,that car is kot ugly or beautiful, its just bland ,boring, thats probably why that dude retired ,he knew the shit is gonna really hit the fan before xmas 🎄 😳 🤣
I agree my friend
It's funny. They say that Americans are uncultured, and then a European CEO makes a vehicle for Europeans to sell to Americans.
Backwards right
The Hornet is a European car
@mustasheolll2020 I agree with you
Americans love European cars. Look at all the Bimmers, Benz, Land Rovers, Jags on the road. Maybe you are crying because you can't afford one.
@@goochi5544yea. But those ate luxury cars. The Hornet is a sports crossover. It's a category that's popular in Europe but not the US.
People acting like this car is uniquely expensive is hilarious as fuck. 2023 and onwards is the opposite of affordable. Full stop. 31k for a brand new badged dodge is a lot more reasonable than 109k for a 4 cylinder 24 Silverado.
Just say you own a hornet my friend 😂 the car is trash , expensive junk! In my opinion
@@tlitesworld that wasn’t really a valid response
@@vidkune4463 the car is 10k overpriced! No way the hornet is worth 38k! It’s top 3 worst selling car on the market!

@@goochi5544 because they dropping that price steadily 🤣
Don't know why there's so much hate for this car. It drives and handles better than anything in it's class and looks better too.
And it also has 10 times the problems of any other car out there and is the worst selling car in America at least one or two

I would buy the gt over the rt
Why

Facts
When was the lat time you went to the dealer to look at the cars?
@goochi5544 1 month ago when I bought my 10th new vehicle in my life and its a Japanese make, built in USA with no turbos ..I can afford gas and oil changes, not repairs.... My frontier will be on the road with the original engine and transmission after a POS Jeep,Ford or GM product has been through 5 owners and 10 repair shops
No one wants a hybrid, either buy all gas or all Ev.
The hybrid gets great gas mileage though! I see why people get them
100% inaccurate kid hybrids are one of the hottest selling vehicles on the market. Most people don't want a fully EV. They want to have the gas back up ability
Hybrid is literally the most profitable car for most brands
Ford Escape is a better car for cheaper.
Are they about the same size?
@@tlitesworld the Ford escape has more interior and cargo space. Plus, you can get it in 250 horsepower in the higher trim levels, matching the Hornet.
@ nice 👍 I going to go look at some soon! Appreciate the feedback
Is that a dart rebadged?
Pretty much 😂😂
@@tlitesworld The dodge dart was junky car, Im surprised they are still trying to sell it
@@Kanotoa I never had a chance to test a dart out, I thought it was a good looking small car. But I guess I was wrong about it being any good
@tlitesworld It looked nice but it was poorly made. It was slow too. My ex gf bought one for 27k when that was a lot of money, like 37k now
I wish you offered some actual facts to why this car is "trash" because I came here as someone who is interested in a Hornet and haven't heard a single thing about why it's trash so it imma move on in my research
Fun fact, if you don’t see any on the road, that means the car is bad how many hornets have you saw on the road? None I gave you all the information you needed in this video to note. The car is horrible. It’s overpriced. It’s too many sitting on the lot that means they’re not selling so why on God’s green earth would you buy one or want to buy one when they’re not selling and they’re over priced You should research some common sense!
@@tlitesworld The biggest problem that I see with this car is its absurdly inflated MSRP.
Besides that it seems like a fun little SUV/car.
One dealer is offering me a $320 monthly lease payment on the loaded R/T eAWD and I think that's a good deal.
There are nuances with everything.
So if you consider this to be a trash car because of the high MSRP, is it still a trash car when you can drive the loaded model so cheaply?
I'm looking at them. I would buy one, however, I'm not ready to part with my 135,000 mile Jeep thats been a far better vehicle than my co-workers Fords, GMs, Toyotas....Nothing wrong with the Hornet, and it's a way more more fun to drive vehicle than the competition.
Not to mention they are an Alfa Romeo
Super unreliable
