Sorry for the delay uploading, guys. I've been sick with a head cold, and had a few technical issues as i'm switching over to using the Adobe Rush editor. You probably noticed the issues figuring out sound controls, and i'm in the process of getting a more powerful laptop to produce better videos. Thanks for your patience while I figure out all this stuff.
Incredible views, a true paradise ! I like the way you used music that matched the scenery, it makes one feel that you are actually there. Wonderful vid Tash 😍😘
Thank you tia Angela! Glad to do a good job with the selection of suitable music tracks!!! Just wait until I start using the GoPro camera. Then, you'll really feel like you're right there with me. I wish I had started recording back when we adventured to Granada and Al Alhambra! Could you imagine the videos we'd have created?!!! 😎😎😎
@@travelandtash I did make a video on a camcorder, I'll have to figure out how to make a copy of it on digital format. Would be cool if it could be edited adding a a naration to explain all that was going on. It's all you in the vid, not me thank goodness 😂 lol
Thanks, Alvin! We're having a debate on this page actually about teh tarik and tumeric. Someone mentioned that tumeric in Malaysian tea is unlikely... But I definitely experienced Filipino tea with tumeric and ginger (Bukit Bintang), and a friend mentioned that teh tarik does include tumeric. Anyway... Now I'm confused.
@@travelandtash I see. Well, it could be a variant of teh tarik. So they also serve Filipino tea with ginger in Bukit Bintang? I know you tasted a version of it at the travel expo in Seoul.
Pangkor Island has a colourful World War 2 story. It is at this island where the late Colonel Spencer Chapman made a daring escape from the Japanese soldiers onto a submarine waiting for him off the beach. He was aided by Chin Peng, an anti-Japanese fighter trained by the British but later turned into public enemy number one. Thus, at the Pangkor Laut Resort there is a beach called the Chapman's Bar. Legend has it that this was the location Col. Spencer Chapman made the night escape. It was like an old James Bond movie.
that's so interesting! Actually, this story reminded me of my visit to Hellfire Pass, near the River Kwai in Thailand. The railway was being built by captured POWs from Malay when the Brits couldn't hold on to Malaysia any longer during WWII.... the railway was being built on horrific terrain. It was a very interesting but sad to walk along the remains and learn about that story during my travels. Thanks for sharing that bit of history. Appreciated. I'm a history major, actually.
@@travelandtash the book that details this escape is called The Jungle is Neutral, written by Spencer Chapman himself. Mandatory reading in some military academy around the world. I was recommended this book by a retired army officer. You can Google the title of this book.
@@vincentchin88 it sounds like a story that should become a movie someday... Thank you for sharing! That's so fascinating. I'd love to know where that submarine had been waiting. Perhaps I wandered right past it without knowing.
@@travelandtash From the book and map in it, it seemed to be across Pangkor Laut Resort. The escape from Pangkor took the Colonel to India for him to recuperate and plan the counter attack. The lessons from this particular stay away British force was also the foundation for their SAS jungle warfare training. Spencer Chapman went on to found the Outward Bound School that trains youth for outdoor survival. Sorta like a summer camp for boys scout style but a bit more hard core. I love reading history and autobiographies.
On Pangkor island, yes! You just needed to rent a motorbike. And thankfully, Dion had rented one the day before and we were able to visit most of the hot spots in one afternoon!
Fabulous vid Tash, the scenery is amazing, so different to any of the places I've ever been, but I haven't travelled much anyway, lol! Really enjoyed watching.
It's the scenery... tropical plants, beautiful, winding mountain roads, and deserted beaches that captured my heart, Tia Anna. That's why I can't stay away from S.E Asia. I'm pleased you enjoyed watching this. ♥♥
Good to know, Viv. These are the kind of videos I enjoy creating most. It's me at my happiest. It's what I really love to do. And perhaps that shows through in the videos themselves. I expect I just have to travel more, then. 😊😊😊
