    thank you for traveling around Malaysia! Hope you guys enjoyed your time here although it's been in an awkward timing due to the pandemic. Fyi, some extra info for you guys. Pangkor Island (most of the western side of the Peninsular of Malaysia) aren't known for clear sea water like the Perhentian Island (the eastern side). It's because the western side aka Straits of Malacca is heavily used by ships, plus the seawater gets stuck in between Malaysia and Indonesia. Whereas the eastern side, is just a big open area towards the South China Sea. I have personally been to Redang Island (very near to Perhentian Island) and absolutely loved the clear seawater there! Once again, thank you for sharing your journey with us! Have a lovely and safe travels wherever you guys may be! =)

      @@helenisaac3576 Tourists who had expired social visit passes since the pandemic were allowed to stay until the end of MCO without penalty or need to visit immigration. After New Years, there was some uncertainty around the continuation of allowing tourists to stay until immigration clarified it a few days later.

    I used to do day trip annually to Pangkor during my school days back in the 80s as it's not so far from my parents house in Ipoh.
    In 1992, I went camping with 3 of my university friends at Teluk Nipah beach. It was empty and the only accommodation available at that time was a few A-shape rooms but the operator was nowhere to be seen. Had to walk back and forth in the darkness to Pasir Bogak for 8km round trip just for a dinner. Woke up in the morning and saw a turtle just laid her egg by the beach near our tent. One of my best memories of Pangkor trip and haven't been there for nearly 30 years already.

    The water in the cave that you were traversing over in the dark? That just happens to be the best quality water in Malaysia and probably one of the best in the world. It's water that's made its way through the crevices of the limestone hill, infused as it does with rich mineral nutrients, before finding its way into the rivers and creeks nearby. Together with water that emanates from the multitude of limestone clump hills surrounding Ipoh, a lot of these waters rich in minerals will eventually seep into the earth throughout the valley in which Ipoh is situated and some of these eventually make its way to selected locations such as the Buntong area in Ipoh which is famous for the cultivation of the Ipoh bean sprouts. If you ask around Ipoh, you might just be able to locate a friendly local who could hook you up with one of these bean sprout growers in Buntong. You will be amazed how this same water literally sprouts from the soil in the ground in those lucky areas and that's the water that's used to cultivate the famous succulent Ipoh bean sprouts. Yes, thats' right! Some of the best bean sprouts in Ipoh were grown with FREE water from mother earth itself! How awesome is that???

      @snailtravelers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sadly, I was expecting this announcement from you. When I read the news yesterday, the first people that came into my mind were you both.
    However I was quite optimistic that you would extend your Visas, as the local authorities did say those with genuine reasons can apply for extension with the support of your local embassy.
    I do hope you apply for an extension with the support of the US Embassy. You can show them your videos and prove to them that you are actually helping the local tourism industry by spending USD in Malaysia in the current pendemic. I am sure that that is good enough a reason to extend your Visas.
    There are still lots of places which you have not covered, including KL and Selangor.
    In any case, should you be leaving Malaysia for whatever reasons, then I wish you both all the very best in wherever you go or whatever you do.
    I must emphasize that I really enjoyed every single one of your videos and have learnt a lot about my own country from a couple from the other side of the world.
    I will be happy to know how I can contact you besides leaving comments on the comment section of the TH-cam. Thanks.
