Welcome to KL. You ate the roti canai like a true Malaysian, digging it with your fingers, now you've got me craving to have some myself. Hope you have a wonderful time in KL
Thank you so much! Little India was definitely worth stopping by, especially if you love Indian food or want to stop by the little shops to get spices and sweets.... or clothes in my case! Yes, please add Brickfields to your list! I'm already looking at new travel destinations for late January.
@@travelandtash If you ever going to Malaysia again, you have to know these: 1) Most Malaysians take their vacations locally. I think this is due to the combination of a weak Ringgit and the fact that Malaysia has many amazing tourist attractions. 2) Malaysians generally, take their vacations during school holidays. I would advise you or any foreigner watching this video to visit the Malaysian Ministry of Education website and find out about the school holiday periods. If you want to enjoy a good vacation, even as a backpacker, you must try to avoid going there during school holidays. Every tourist attraction would be swarming with locals and prices of stuff tend to get a bit higher than usual.
@@henkwilliemadriannusvander1955 Those tips are super helpful, thank you. It seemed to me that Malaysian have quite a few national holidays. There was one the weekend we were there in September, and also another starting the following weekend. But definitely worth remembering if you have flexibility on the dates you visit! Thank you so much. :)
Yet again, another entertaining video Tasha...You, In a big unknown city, finding your way around and made to look oh so simple ..and yeh, Indian food is my favorite and always will be x
It's so exciting exploring a new city, tia Piri, and the Malaysian people are friendly, and I felt comfortable. Just you wait until I'm vlogging from India itself! Completely different experience. For me, depending on the city, quite intense. Yes, I love Indian food too!!!
Brilliant!!! I'm actually just beginning to work on a food video recorded in KL! You must try as much food as you can while there! Bukid Bintang, China Town and Brickfields! I'll publish this food video by Sunday, but I expect you may already be there by then! Enjoy. :)
travelandtash Tasha Perfect!!!! Yes I’ll be there on Sunday, I have a flight to KL in 2 days and I’ll stay in Bukit Bintang. Looking forward to watch your food video!! Thank youu!!

i don't blame you if you have a hard time to find the right route to pasar seni ...cuz when your show the map and pointed KL SENTRAL in this "light green" route at 9:19 ...it was actually a KL SENTRAL monorail station which build separately from the KL SENTRAL main building ...so you need to take LRT KELANA JAYA LINE (the one with "red ruby" color route) which located inside a main building....
Yes!!! Two different lines. You saw my problem! It was not so easy at the time carrying my backpack and not being familiar with KL or the train system. 😊😊👍 Thank you.

How different to the peace and tranquillity of Pangkor island and how daunting big cities can be when you're there for the first time! But, as always Tash, you take it on bravely as another new experience. Can't wait to see next vid!
Yes! So different to Pangkor island! Kuala Lumpur had such a different feel from Seoul, though. It had a busy feel, but no where near as busy as here in Korea. The people make the city, and Malaysian's are more laid back. I'm actually considering moving to KL, tia Anna. Thank you as always for your support. 🙏
Welcome to KL.. Little India is in Bricksfield.. just outside the NU central.. the information given by the guy and the girl is correct.. hehehe... Should also try roti bom and roti tisu..
@@HasbullahSalih NU Sentral. Okay... Thank you. I was pretty hungry at that time... Was difficult to focus on where exactly I was. I really wanted to find Little India.
A few responses, albeit a bit late. 1) Sometimes express buses pull out earlier if they noticed that every passenger who has bought the tickets are all aboard. Don't worry, if they were one passenger short, they will wait until the scheduled time, of sometimes a bit later. 2) Unlike chapati, tosai or pita bread, which is of south Asia's origin, roti canai is of Malay's. If you want to enjoy good roti canai (which is mainly determined by the gravy), you should have it at a Malay shop. Most Indians' roti canai gravy taste like piss. Sorry, but it's the truth. LOL.
Good to know about the bus driver noting whether all the passengers expected are on board before leaving! I ate roti with dhal in Northern India (Ragisthan) and it was really good. Do you think Indian-Malaysian Roti Canai is lower quality than what is served in India?
travelandtash Tasha like India but no cow mess.Paan spitting and walls as public urinals,or rubbish burning in the road.So it smells similar to India if not quite as rich.
I love the spices! Such good food! I noticed several comments, Alvin! Thank you for your support. Btw, I'm trying to decide between visiting Japan or the Philippines in late January!
That's great, Tasha! I also appreciate spices. Good to know you're planning on another country vlogging adventure. I don't know about Japan, but January would still be a great time to visit the Philippines since it's not the peak season yet and the weather would be perfect. I just might visit Japan next year also, if everything falls into place.

That's a good idea! Great picks. Spring blossoms in Japan and perfect weather in the Philippines in January. Where in the Philippines do you intend to go this time around?
@@AuthorStory I'm considering Angeles, Manila... Or Cebu...
