Good job! We're going to do the same thing in our garage...debating on how bright we want it and thus, many lights to install. Thx for the super video, we're excited to get our garage finished after seeing yours!
Thank you for the comment ! I like the look of a bunch of smaller size lights. These light have a switch to adjust the color from warm to cool. I hope the project goes well. please consider liking the video and subscribing if you want.
You may have said it and I missed it but what did you tie into for all or most of the lights? I have a light switch inside my kitchen which controls the lights and even if the garage door is on or not. Is it possible to tie into the same wires or the garage door, how is that process achieved?
What color are your walls and ceiling? Ive read Tricorn black by Sherwin williams for home theaters is what they use. Im thinking of painting my garage ceiling tricorn black. Its a neutral color, pairs nice with white for a classic contrast
My FC also has a pile of parts boxes on it funny enough. nice lighting setup though, Im working on figuring out to go with pucks or lengths of led worklight. And the Soul Red Crystal is what i plan on painting my FC in, lol.
omg , i haven't started that car since 2013 or so.... I Iike the videos with the led strip lights that go on all the edges of the garage and straight down the middle. soul red would be awesome on the fc. thanks for the kind words and consider subscribing
This is what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been wanting to do this but didn’t know if there are certain codes for the garage like quantity of lights able to be put up ect ect
yeah, it could be brighter, but I've gotten used to it. the other benefit of small lights is the fireproofing bowls that go over the lights are much cheaper for small lights. Thanks for the comment and checking it out
I debated on using the 6-inch ones but, I was against the bigger hole being cut into the drywall. I lost out on the higher light output, but I will just have to live with it. thanks for watching
@@garagepursuits8158 Yes they are great lights and adds value to your home. I got 3 estimates to put 8 in my living room and the prices where ridiculous. 1st one 900 dollars 2nd one 1600 and the third one 2000 dollars which may me put my tool belt on. A jigsaw although you will get sheetrock and insulation on you can cut that hole great along with the hand saw. I have them ALL over the house now. Continue to save yourself money!
@@starlondon7547 your comment about the 3rd estimate making you put your tool belt on....cracked me up! Yep, you definitely saved yourself a mega bundle! My husband installed the 4" in our kitchen and now we're going with 6" for our garage. Great to see this video and gain the confidence to do this!

looks great. I just put recessed lights in my garage too!
Thanks for checking out the video, I hope your install went well

how did you pull the wires to each light?
That soul red CX5 looks gorgeous under those lights!
It sure does. I had to make sure it was clean to provide a good example as to what ones car can look like under these lights. Thank you

What are the boxes, transformers?
Yes its a transformer and the resistor assembly that allows you to switch between 5 colors of light
I’m trying to do the same upgrade thanks man
What is the distance between each light in a row and what is the distance between the rows? Also, how many lumens is each light?
540 lumens, 4 feet between lights
Is that 5K or 6K 🤔🧐
Love this look but it goes against code as it penetrates the fire-membrane of the drywall.
There are tenmat recessed light covers over every light, they are like ceramic bowls ,to stop fire intrusion

Dodge Conquest or Mitsubishi Starion?
that is a rx7 turbo hidden under all that junk
Clearly an Rx7. Dodge and Mitsubishi is an insult. lol
That hole saw should be tight not flopping around like that.
I would have gone with 6" if not 8" lights in a garage

6 inch will give better lighting.
