    I know what you mean about the Honda love. I was raised to love GM and after buying my first Honda I have only owned Honda's since. Just got my 97 prelude back running after 2 years. Brought a tear to my eye driving it for the first time, the love is real!

      Dustin Sherman same. Grew up on big block Chevy. Got my license and drove a big block ford. Bought a civic because 8mpg sucked. Now I’ve got two civic and a 75 GMC project.

    I know how you feel about the civ. I regret selling my first car, an EP91 Starlet, I took it everywhere and it never broke down on me, it’s been all around the UK and to some crazy places. Eventually the piston rings started failing so I did an engine swap and serviced, cleaned/painted the engine and bay, it looked mint, I started it up and the con-rods were dead. I’m still looking for it now to rebuild it and use it as a track car, it’s not been scrapped but it’s lying dormant somewhere. Honestly, the civic reminds me of it so much! Keep it up bro! #Committed

    nooooooo putting a catch can on the intake all your going to do is loosing boost through it
    in a turbo application catch cans go on the block or the cam cover to take up the pressure and to stop you blowing oil everywhere and never on the intake
    that pcv valve is to put vacum on the block in a n/a application so now your bleeding out boost through your catch can unless its a air tight sealed unit even then its still not going to do its intended job
    the oil is prob from the rocker gasket as your presuring your engine on boost due to no catch can

    • @1nicube
      @1nicube 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the pcv systeme have a one way valve.. it shouldnt compressed the crankcase

    • @tactix101
      @tactix101 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@1nicube any engine running on boost or not will pressurize the crank case regardless of the pcv
      the stock engine pressurizes it hence the pcv valve opening to put it under vacuum to evacuate the crank case pressure unfortunately it also escapes oil vapor with it
      but under boost you put a catch can to the rocker cover or to the block and never plum it back into the intake period

    • @1nicube
      @1nicube 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      i know it become pressurize, the pcv systeme is to evacuate the air from the crankcase

    • @tactix101

    Distributor seal commonly leaks when they are old. When that leaks it's small amount of oil is lost from that.
    When you take it off make sure to mark the bolts where they are and line up the teeth to not break them. The rotor teeth that can only go one way.

    These dizzys have a rubber o-ring on them. Not sure if it’s the issue, but I’ve had to replace it on every single cam I’ve seen so far. It’s really cheap and quick to replace. It will leak down the front and back of the trans since it’s centered over it.

    Well if you did blow the motor, maybe look for a craigslist K series or something depending on what's broken. It may be worth it to spend slightly more than you would to fix it (again depending the issue) to get a motor that will handle abuse a bit better, or with lower mileage.
