As a mom i can tell you that there isn't much that baking soda and white vinegar won't do for your cleaning and they are pretty cheep to buy in volume. Also putting a fine mist sprayer in the bathroom with vinegar and a essential lemon oil sent can save you as well.

Also, you can easily post a video directly on eBay w your photos… No desk computer needed! Scan items that have bar codes. You don’t need to be an expert in anything- there’s a free app to identify items n many items you can find online with info you need.. don’t stress just post. Wrap carefully, in-fact Over wrap! Bubble Boy bubble wrap is your friend!

They are selling a sz 8 children’s dress as an adult dress. They want $300 for a high end bag and are describing it as “large.” If I’m in the market for that bag I need to know the dimensions of that bag. I’m not going to contact the buyer to ask questions like what is the fabric content, what are the exact dimensions - not going to do it. I know I’m dealing with a seller who is likely oblivious in another way as well and I’m not going to chance it - chance they get my $300, I have to enter a tedious, long process of negotiating a return when it’s their fault. Pack it up, go to a post office and likely have to pay to return it??? No way.

This is personally a question I hate because it's nearly impossible to answer, off face value. There are just too many factors that can come into play for sell through. Category, price, quantity and item specifics all come into play. Like maybe you're sell Air Forces. Well, then you'd maybe only need to have only 40 listed to sell one per day. Or maybe you're selling chachkies. Then maybe you'd need 1,200 listed to sell 1 per day. Or maybe you have candles but you're asking $15 above the average. Then maybe you'd need 1,000 listed. Too many variables.

Are you willing to wait to get the profit you're looking for, or are you just pushing volume, thus inflating your sell through? So maybe someone is blowing through inventory or picking up highly desired items and selling 4 per day, per 100 items. These are all questions or info that each individual person will know for their own business and business model. It all depends. For me personally, I have about 1,700 items but I sell 5 per day. That's good for me, because my average profit per item is around $37 and my ASP is $100. So...I know I'm not going to blow through a lot of inventory, because the majority of Ebay buyers are purchasing things under $30. I have to wait to get my money...or take less money (profit) on my investments. But I do this part time anyway. I don't need the money. This is just extra for me.
Hey, Chris. Unrelated tax question that I am slightly confused on after watching your video going over your tax excel sheet. Do you just simply record the COGS sold as the total amount of money you spent in a period of time? Or are you looking at each individual sale and then counting up the exact amount spent on everything that's sold in that period? I am finding online that inventory is technically just an asset until sold so it can't be written off as COGS. However, I imagine its nearly impossible to track per item, and I know the IRS just wants the know the total amount spent and for that the trackable. I appreciate it if you find the time to respond. Thanks!
Just take the total cogs spent for year ... But the year end numbers have to make sense and be reasonable. Maintain the same reasonable range every year. If cogs is too much adjust and carry forward the excess Tax people just want to see reasonable and ordinary If you have software I guess you can do specific. Talk to accountant

Not if you use integrated ebay shipping. As soon as you purchase shipping the item gets marked as shipped. Then it's up to you to make sure that it gets to the post office but the customer sees it as shipped and already has the tracking number. Of course you don't want to be two days later just getting the item mailed. But let's say that you have one day shipping and you don't actually get the package mailed until the second day, the item is still considered shipped on time.
