You are an absolute natural teaching. Listening and watching you explain is in a perfect measure.
Thank you so much, Jeanie. I really appreciate you saying that.
Thank you for sharing the tutorial and the tips on how to get the bracelet to the correct size. That is a very useful method.
Thank you, Gloria. I'm glad you found this one useful.
Love the colors you choose to use when making jewelry.
Thank you so much, Rita. I sometimes think that I should choose other colours and I tend to use only ones I like.
I start watching your videos yesterday. I made jewelry long time ago and I fell rusty so I was looking for inspiration and new techniques and love your style was very similar to mine. Thanks for the clear explanation of every technique, and by the way I love your accent. For me that's English is not my first language, I understand you really good.
Thank you so much, Gloria. I'm glad you could understand me well, and that you like my videos.
Hello just recently came across ur channel and I absolutely love how u explain in detail and show everything and explain as u do. I think you’re fantastic I definitely will be following u
Thank you so much, Veronica. Welcome to the community. Lovely to have you join us.
Thank you, Dee, for explaining the pros and cons in jewellery making which are so informative for a beginner. I always enjoy your tutorials and explanations of applying such techniques. My bracelets tend to be too big and so I simply make more elastic bracelets. I shall now certainly try using the beading wire method and using other mediums. Thanks a million for sharing. All the best, Stella Boyce
Hi Stella, yes, I prefer elastic or memory wire bracelets as I really struggle to do up the clasps. My husband always has to come to the rescue. I know there are hook like things you can buy to make it work but I've never bothered as he's always happy to do that. I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Thank you so much. Carol.
This video helps with my number one problem. Thank you.
Oh that's great. Thank you so much.
I just recently found your channel & I am happy to have done so. I can't wait to watch more of them.
That's fantastic. Thank you so much.
You are a marvelous instructor! The bracelet is so spring! I love this bracelet!!
Thank you so much, Charisse.
love, love. love this bracelet!
Thank you so much, Janice. I'm glad you like it.
Awesome video🎉 Thank you so much🙏🏾
Thank you, Gia.
I also liked seeing options that keep the wire from coming off the jump ring.
That's great. Thank you. I did a whole video on how to use a wire guardian if you're interested. th-cam.com/video/o_R9_fJmgcY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SLiU1Cxwqij6dQVV

New to jewelry making and new to your page! I have subscribed, you are a great teacher!
Welcome Sandy, I'm glad you found my channel. Thank you so much.
Thank you Carol, so much for your tutorials and all that you share. I have learned quite a bit of how to make jewelry being a beginner and all. ❤
Thank you, Laureen. I'm so pleased that you find my videos useful. I do try to aim them at beginners.
Wow! I love the technique of measuring the clasp by holding it in 2 pliers. Thank you so much for this. Your instructions are so clear!
Thank you so much, Sharon. This makes it much easier to get the bracelet the right size.
Great video! I started making jewelry 25 years ago because I could never find bracelets that would fit my small wrists. Planning out the length of the clasp all connected together before stringing makes great sense. I've taken apart too many bracelets that were too long after attaching the clasp. 😅
Thank you, Dee. That's exactly why I made this video. I've done that many times too. I'm glad that you found it helpful.
Omg I love this. I cannot stop watching ur videos. X
Ha ha, thank you Natalie. I'm glad you can't stop watching - keep it up. Thank you so much.
@@The_Stylish_Maker Oh don't u worry I'm going to. When I get home from work I love a cuppa and now your videos ha. I have lots of beautiful beads but when I see your beads I always think mine are dull. Xx
Ha ha, it's called bead envy! I suffer from it too.@@nataliex4758
again such great tip and tricks, thank you, as a newbie I love learning all these tips to help me avoid issues. Have a great day, shalom
Thank you so much, Shosana. I hope you have a wonderful day too.
Thank you for advising on measuring the clasp first. I love bead weaving and this was help me when I make bracelets. I am just now starting to string, and I appreciate all advice and suggestionsns. Thank 🙇 you
You are very welcome, Claire. I'm so pleased that you found this one useful.
Hi Carol, thank you for this very informative video. I've always stayed away from making these types of bracelets as I was intimidated by figuring out the sizing but I think I'm ready to give it a try. Thank you!
Oh that's great. Thank you so much for letting me know.
I love your demonstrations and all the details of why you're doing what you're doing. Love your accent and the fact that you don't talk too fast, like some. Your designs are superb along with your perfectly executed demos. Always a pleasure to see your videos. Thank you for being a perfectionist.
Thank you so much, Sandra. I don't think I'm a perfectionist by any means but I do like things to look good. I really appreciate your kind words.
This was so helpful, Carol. Bracelet sizing has been challenging for me, but I'm going to keep working at it. I'm also going to watch this video again tomorrow night because I've been beading tonight while watching and I want to make sure that I'm not missing anything. Oh, and I really enjoy your accent! It's the best! 😍🙂😘
Thank you so much, Jan. I'm glad you found it helpful. I used to struggle with this too. Then I had the comment about it and thought I had to share it.
Thank you
You're welcome, Marjorie. Thank you.
Thx, thx, thx. You give wonderful explanations. I am going to try to find the magical crimping tool. 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much. Here's a link to the tool. amzn.to/3TvkXng
I got confused at first, thinking I had come across an old video!! I’m in the US and we are going into Winter! I really loved this because I make custom jewelry and jewelry to sell. I’m so glad you showed how you would measure a toggle clasp! I’ve been loving toggle clasps lately. I usually have customers measure their wrist and give me the measurements. Then I use a bead board to lay out the bracelet. Remembering to measure the clasp will be crucial for me going forward! Thank you so much!!
Thank you, Jessica. I'm glad you found this one useful. I prefer to use toggle clasps or magnetic clasps on bracelets as they are much easier to do up.
Where were you when I first started making jewelry?! I love the way you show and describe the different processes you go through to make a piece of jewelry. I've been making different pieces off and on for my 3 grown daughters for about 20 years, and I still pick up some tips from you. I do have one question...What is in all those jars on the shelves in back of you that look like different jellies and jams? I assume that's how you store some, if not all, of your baubles. Can you give some ideas on storage for all the different types of things you use...beads, spacers, clasps, wires, tools, etc.?
Thank you Eve. They are beads. I own an online bead store - www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/
Felicidades,Gracias por sus conocimiento compartido🍀🌈🇲🇽
Eres muy bienvenida, gracias.
You’re a very good teacher. So clear and knowledgeable and, very friendly. I am learning a lot because of you. Keep up the good work and, more power. BTW, I’m from Rochester, NY, and I’m 77 years old.
Hello Maria. I have been to Rochester several times during the time I lived in Toronto. It's a lovely place. I'm so pleased that you are finding my videos helpful. Thank you so much.
I ❤this
Thank you.
Miss Carol, really enjoy your videos. Watching in America.
Thank you so much. Hello from New Zealand.
Miss Carol, thank you for the kind response. I am a long time beader, and always interested in improving my skills. I would love to attend your excellent instruction on finishing pieces. I work in precious metals ( bead tips, cones) & always hoping to improve. Thank you.
You're welcome@@torim1233
I really enjoy watching you, you give very good information. Have a nice day. Jackie Jones Rowlett TX
Thank you so much Jackie! You too!
Another great tutorial. I cannot wait until my work settles down so I can return to my hobbies….
Thank you so much. I hope it settles soon so you can make some jewellery!
Hi I'm really glad you were able to answer me a few weeks ago and correcting my knowledge of accents. lol I really like making bracelets and I want to graduate to wire. I seem to have trouble with the endings. You have many videos, but which do you suggest for a beginner?
Hi Leesha, do you mean the clasps or using the crimps with the tiger tail. Can you email me with your question so we can start a discussion. My email address is carol@affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz. Thank you. Carol
I love the style of this bracelet and my favorite color is purple as well as my daughter’s birthstone color
Thank you Sandie. If you haven't guessed yet, purple is probably my favourite colour too although I do love pink - both combined here. Perhaps you could make something similar to this one for your daughter.
@@The_Stylish_Maker yes that would be a fantastic idea thank you Carol.
You're welcome.
Can you please tell me where you got that beautiful purple bead? I love your videos and the beautiful things you make! Thanks for sharing! Also love the bracelet you’re wearing, is there a tutorial for that?

Hi Jamie, thanks for the question. The only place I've ever seen them is in our shop. www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/products/acrylic-oval-28mm-x-22mm?variant=43360017318133
Can you do a video on when to use Tiger tail versus regular head wire?
Thanks for the suggestion. I have been thinking about doing a comparison between wires. Which wire do you consider to be “regular bead wire”. In my head, that’s tiger tail. Lol.
Hi Carol, as I said before, besides watching your tutorial vids, I have been turning to you when I need to practice that "perfect loop". My hands don't work so well now because of nerve damage, which has made my left hand almost completely numb...not too good for my jewelry creations so I need to make it behave and your video has been invaluable .
While watching you I discovered that you are in New Zealand 😊 I met the most amazing woman in a Bombay cat chat group and now she is my Kiwi Sis and I am coming to New Zealand for my 80th birthday in February. She lives in Murchison on South Island. Where are you located?
Hi Dana, we are in Lower Hutt which is just outside Wellington at the bottom of the North Island. I have been to Murchison. It's very beautiful down that way. I'm sure you will have an amazing time. Thank you so much.
Do you need a beading board with circles for bracelets, or just use the channel with measurements at the bottom of the board like you used? Also, I picked up a golden nugget from your video today. Keep these wise lessons coming.
Thank you. I'm glad you found this one helpful. I have a bracelet board but I hardly ever use it. I much prefer my standard necklace design board.
I was admiring your organized shelves' in the background. Did you put all your beads in jars and label them. My craft room is too full. I use plastic bins that take up more space. And I love your videos. Sincerely Lorena USA
Hi Lorena, thank you for your question. It's really nice to "meet" you. Hello from New Zealand.
I run an online bead store so I need to very well organised. I have over 3,500 products and need to know exactly where they are at all times.
I did a video about how I organise my beads and supplies with my Jewellery Box membership group a couple of weeks ago. I am thinking about doing one for the channel but it will be a wee bit away.
You helped me a lot. I have very small wrist and never can I get the length right when I make bracelets. You have given out the size that is a normal size wrist. Can you give me any hints on how to make bracelets for a tiny wrist?
Thank you, Liane. For a tiny wrist, I would just scale down the beads. You can still have a focal, just a smaller on. To be honest, I actually prefer to wear memory wire bracelets. You might find, if you can get a size that fits you, that works better for your small wrist. With this piece, you could just take off some of the purple bicones and lined beads to make the bracelet smaller. I would also look at a smaller clasp and jump rings if you can handle doing them up. If not, try a small toggle clasp that becomes part of the design. I hope that's helpful.
Would you let me know where to get the white work board that you use in your videos? I already have the gray bead board. Thank you!
Thanks, Laureen. It's actually called a water media mat. You can purchase it here: waffleflower.com/products/water-media-mat
Hello. Love watching your videos. Why do my crimp tubes consistently fail? Is the tiger tail too thin and crimp tube too big?
Thanks for the question, Juliette. It's hard to say without more information. Are they breaking when you squeeze them or not holding when you are wearing the piece? If it's the first one, sometimes we tend to squeeze them too hard so you could try using a little less pressure. For the second one, it may be the opposite that you're not squeezing hard enough, unless they are breaking in which case it could be that you're squeezing too hard and damaging the crimp tube. The other option is that the crimps aren't good quality. I'm not sure if that was helpful at all. Please let me know and I'll try to assist.
Oh wow! How awesome to get a reply from you! Thank you. They are breaking when wearing or testing the jewellery. I will be honest and say that I squeeze them very hard to close them, as the wire wants to slip out. So I thought if I tried flattening the crimp tube well, it won't slip out. At this point, either the wire gets cut or the crimp tube breaks. Or once I've attached jump rings and clasp, I give it a bit of a tug to see if it is strong the wire comes loose and pulls out of the crimp tube.
OK@@juliettesole6930. You may be squeezing too hard sometimes and not hard enough others. Try just squeezing them flat, not too hard, just hard enough for them to hold and see what happens. Have you watched this video? th-cam.com/video/xVHTcoYs9rU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mn_DDshXWzvXwfjc It might help.
@@The_Stylish_Maker Thank you so much for your time. I will keep trying. Kind regards, Juliette
You're welcome.@@juliettesole6930
Hello there! I'm really interested in using Tiger Tail but I found it to be quite expensive even for a small flat spool. Is there a other brand you could suggest that's comparable to Tiger Tail?
Tiger Tail is probably the cheapest beading wire. You can buy "tiger wire" which is the cheaper brand of the same thing. I hope that helps. Here's a link to one that isn't too expensive: amzn.to/3SwUuVY
Why do u call it tiger tail
Hi Regina, the product I use is called Tiger Tail. It's a very strong, flexible beading wire. Possibly the most commonly used. Here's a link to the product. www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/products/coloured-tiger-tail-0-38mm-x-60m?variant=43361149223157
