It's so funny that all the influencers say statement necklaces are out of fashion because every time I wear one I get compliments! Wear what you love and makes you feel good 😊
It's about knowing your own style, like the women who were featured in the first few photos. They were wearing some statement jewelry and looked stunning.
AMEN! I have saved 90% of all my jewelry purchases since the 80’s. I have HUGE boxes full of fun costume jewelry I thrifted and bought new over the decades. I just save them and at this time in my life its sooo much fun to look back and I still wear some of it. I wear what I feel like wearing plain and simple and Im 67!!!
I’m 78 years old and I have always collected jewelry that I think is beautiful. It doesn’t matter what’s in and what’s out. Wear the jewelry that compliments your outfit and makes you feel pretty.
Moves really do something to you. When I opened my extra closet to move last year I discovered so many clothes that I hadn’t been wearing. What new discoveries. And now I’m discovering jewelry that I hadn’t worn in years, including a silver cross necklace given to me by my first boyfriend in 8th grade. I’m 66. 😊
I have 90% of the jewelry I thrifted and bought new (mostly costume). Over my lifetime. I have huge boxes of the stuff and belts too. Its so much fun to look at it all and wear some of it. I worked in offices since the late 70’s. Im 67 and retired too. You’re as old as you feel! We’ve ALL earned the right to wear what we want. So excited chunky is back in! 🎉🎉
I told my friend I don't care if my GOOD JEWELRY is appropriate or not ..I have stated wearing it in the past year any where and every where I wish too .. I can't take it with me !. I am 71. Why stash it away. What am I saving " it"for? Lol
I feel sorry for people who only wear what is in style whether that be jewellery or clothes. What is in style might look bad on you. Wear what you like!
My late mother-in-laws suitcase was in our basement for the last two years. I thought I might use it for a trip and when I opened it…. There was a velvet box with a strand of Mikimoto pearls. 😳😎.
61 year-old chiming in: wearing what I like. Yes, interested in knowing what’s “in”, but not necessarily dismissing what’s “out”. Love your channel and messages. Thank you.
I started to wear my big, bold, dangle or hoop earrings whenever at home doing housework or just relaxing watching tv. I have them displayed on my dressing table because they make me happy, so I decided I didn't want to wait to find a day to wear them out and about. When home, I tend to wear my hair away from my face and off my neck, so even wearing them with shorts and tees around the house tends to elevate my mood and energize me. Also wearing my fine jewelry to the drug or grocery store makes me happy, too. I'm making every day fancy and fun by putting my jewelry to work! Try it! 💎💕
So happy to hear silver is making a comeback I’m cool toned so I’ve always gravitated toward it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found a piece I like and it only comes in gold 😢
Oh yes! You Tubers often have jewelry companies as sponsors and I go to the sites they advertise and everything is gold. Some of these ethical jewelry companies only seem to deal in gold. The upside is silver for the consumer is that it’s cheaper.
I also loved mixed metal. My wide wedding band is white and yellow gold and I love it. Silver is wonderful too. I also really like stainless steel jewelry because it is so durable.
I still like jewelry made with semi-precious gemstones, like garnets, amethysts, peridot, etc. I’m holding on to mine. I never was much into the plastic jewelry, we can get really any color we want with some kind of genuine (if color-treated), minerals or stones, plus they’re mostly very durable, unlike plastic cheapies.
Yes friend. Mine as well. I am not trendy but classic. I wear whatever I want and love. Rose, pearls, gold and sometimes white gold jewelry. Depending on my mood not what people are telling me to wear or not to wear.
The Gingiberi ‘gold’ is not 18k gold. It is ‘gold vermeil’ which is gold plated over sterling silver. Just know this when comparing prices of real gold jewelry.😊
As a jewelry designer and creator I think it's interesting that you put pictures of semi precious stone jewelry in with the "plastic" jewelry but then didn't even mention it at all when it's SUPER popular right now. I've never been a fan of using plastic in my designs and always preferred precious metals because I believe in making quality original pieces. Interesting video though and I love your perky personality! ❤️
I am loving bracelet stacks - mixing yellow and white gold with different textures and widths. I also like wearing bracelets with my watch. I hope this “trend” is here to stay!
I’m a bangle wearer too, since I can just leave them on and not worry about losing them. From time to time I’ll add a bracelet and watch on my other hand, or a couple more larger bangles to my mixed gold stack. As long as it feels like fun it’s all good.
I love mixed metals and glad it’s on trend. But I also like beads. Not those big bubble necklaces just colorful beads and stones. I’ll keep wearing those.😊
I’ve been wearing quality silver jewelry for years now, and I prefer white gold over yellow. I wear pearls with everything I have on and love pretty, unusual designs. I like classic, clean pieces. That never goes out of style.
Jewelry trends are definitely cyclical which is why I’ve kept one or 2 of my favourites from each trend that I actually liked. Investing in quality pieces over time will allow long term use because they don’t tarnish or discolour. I have chunky gold earrings from 1990 that I still love to wear with the right outfit, they were $40 then and remain a favourite plus I always get compliments when I wear them
Pearl earrings are my THING. I have dark hair and fair skin, and pearl earrings have been my signature look - for more than two decades now! I have at least 15 different pairs for any occasion 😄 Many years ago my wonderful hubby got me my dream engagement ring, a rose gold Tacori twist, but it’s not too pink, more vintage gold looking. I wear it with my grandmother’s vintage gold wedding band that she wore until her final breath - I think they look great together, plus so sentimental, they’re perfect to me ❤️ You rock, Anna! As always, thank for the great content!🫶🏻 Merry Christmas!🎄
You have a great hubs. Tacori is beautiful, recently I purchased a junk silver bundle, broken sterling and such. In it was a beautiful Tacori ring with the 2 floating stones. Turned out to be diamond. I was shocked, i wear it every day. I got my money worth.
I was going through my jewelry the other day (our 14 YO son was interested in what I have so I was showing him and telling the stories...) I adore charm bracelets... any kind/style/etc... I have Pandora, I *had* Juicy Couture but sold them, I have several full sterling silver charm bracelets in various themes, and I also have the Monet 75th anniversary charm bracelet that a dear friend gave to me years ago... I really need to start wearing these things! You're so right - they're not doing anyone any good thing sitting home in a box!!
I feel like I blinked, silver went out and came back in 😂. When I was younger (42 now), silver was the only look for a looooong time. I’m still enjoying gold’s comeback. But I’m glad I can pull out some of the silver too, now. It’s also usually more affordable. Love the pearls… I’ve always been a Pearl girl. Regarding chunky stuff… being petite and with fine bone structure, I’m going to have to be careful with that one (just like I never quite pulled off bubble necklaces). Overall, love the classic styles we are seeing now.
Thank you for making the videos easy to follow -even if I’m not in a place where I can listen. With your videos I can always visibly tell what is in and what is out ! I appreciate your consistency with this formatting.
This person is clearly living for the fine jewelry. There's a whole set of people who just don't do much and varied costume jewelry. But I clearly stumbled into this video from the outside and, let me tell you, costume jewelry never dies. It is in every fashion niche sometimes intentionally looking like what it is, sometime not. Don't let fine jewelry lovers who don't do costume convince you never to wear other things. If you vary your jewelry a lot, part of that fun is playing with whatever's going on with all the materials that can be in jewelry. I can't forecast the trends, but you better believe the major retailers are pulling out their hair about them as they stock their open shelves, regardless of what's in the glass cases.
#1. Who cares what an influencer says? #2. Silver is NEVER EVER out. #3. Agree with not saving for special occasion. #4. Rose gold is awesome. #5. Two tone is awesome.
YES! Thank👏🏽you👏🏽! So wish there were MORE comments here like this one. Not knocking the video(not that type of viewer🙏🏽💕) but I just kinda feel like, of course It’s good to get tips and ideas from videos like these so you’re at least AWARE of these sorts of changes in fashion and whatnot , but at the end of the day, but too many ppl are thirsty for what’s “trendy”/“trending” and wearing themselves out tryina keep up with the Joneses🤦🏽♀️ lol .. and what if what’s “trending” doesn’t look (or FEEL) good on YOU!?🤷🏽♀️ So yes, AMEN to your comment! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Pearls are and always will be The fashion. It never goes out. I dont care one bit about fashion because quality jewelry never goes out of fashion. I never wear chunky, plastic , cheap pearls or cheap fake gemstones. Wear what makes you happy. And dont worry about fashion.
Also pearls on leather is another super popular combo. I LOVE designing it. ❤️ Pearls are just awesome always and are available in different qualities for every price range.
Can you find another one? That necklace is so pretty. If I misplace a jewelry piece, I either hunt it down or buy another one. I have a very detailed tiny lion charm (3D, he can stand alone). I misplaced him, and couldn't find him anywhere. I found another on Ebay, and bought it. Wouldn't you know, I found the original 2 days before the new one came in the mail. Now I have 2. (Jan Griffiths).
I hadn't really realised there were trends in jewellery. I don't have that much, and I guess everything I do have is either very basic / classic, e.g. a plain cross and chain, or it's handmade and unique. But I'm glad that silver is going to be more available is it's my preference anyway.
@@ANNAREID29thank you. That’s a really helpful comment. I’m petite, so sometimes the choice of clothing is a bit limited, which means that the accessories become more important.
I've always loved silver and gold. And I've always loved pearls because it always went so well with my classic timeless style. But I'm happy that silver is coming back a little stronger then previously. I'm so glad the layering is still in style. But either way, I've been layering necklaces sense my 20s and I'm now 68 so for me I don't think the layering is going anywhere. Ty Anna for the great video. And Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones.
Glad you gave us an update on jewelry. Thank you! Do you plan to show what may be fashionable for everyday eyeglasses? I will need a new pair in 2024 and I would love to look modern, but at the moment I am clueless about this important piece of fashion.
I have always worn mixed metals and pearls. Not a fan of large chunky necklaces, but I do love huge mixed metal or natural stone earrings with my pixie style hair. I can usually tell if a style is going to work for me ASA I try it. I’m also wearing nice things daily, even around my home, as it makes me feel pretty. Hubby appreciates me enjoying jewelry gifts he has purchased for me.
I keep everything I love!!! I’ve wore brootches for years always get compliments vintage clothing never goes out in my book!!!! I wear what I want to wear I make my own style❤️
Love wearing pearls so I am glad they are in fashion. Gold and silver jewelry and accessories can look amazing together. Great video. Enjoyed it immensely!
I saw another u tuber that referred to large bead necklaces as what grandma would wear. I agree, dont wear them but do keep them. They are great for lots of crafting projects!!!
I am always amused at people who watch a fashion video with a title like "What's In and What's Out," and then comment, "Wear whatever you like, regardless of the current trend!" I mean, why bother watching? Personally, I like seeing the current styles so I can pick and choose which items will look good on me! I'm not slavish about it, but I do find it gives me more confidence when I wear something that I know looks fresh and current! ❤
Thank you for this update. We always appreciate learning what is new. As a gemstone supplier we are always looking for what styles would be great for our gemstones.
I wear all my nice wardrobe items on any day, at home or out. I have a lot of silk clothing, for example, because I love its comfort, so why save it for “special occasions” that might not come? Since I retired I no longer go to those fancy corporate or professional club, etc., dinners/dances, but I just wear my beautiful clothes (and jewelry) to feel great all the time. But, I don’t buy those party-only clothes with sequins or sparkles, or high heels, no one has worn those for decades here in California. I love it that people, well some anyway, are dressing more elegantly again, it got to be ridiculous with all those footed PJs, etc., everywhere. I like wearing proper day clothes in intentional outfits every day. Use and enjoy your best things, that’s what they are there for. 🙂
100% agree with nixing cold shoulder, chains, unnecessary buttons and details. I never liked any of those anyway. But I love rose gold and will continue to wear my rose gold pieces. I used to absolutely loathe yellow gold, only wore silver or white gold for decades. It took me forever to warm up to yellow gold and now that I like it, it's "out" again lol.
Just recently found a ‘half carat natural diamond pendant’ in an old, scruffy box full of single earrings, & old dress up earrings from grandma! The diamond pendant was from my ex-husband 30 years ago 😮! Should I wear-it, though it’s from my ex? My husband doesn’t seem to mind…😊🎉😁
The small drop pearl or dainty jewelry is your style most likely because of the comfort zone of wearing neutrals or pastels. Staying within the comfort zone and not stepping out to bold colors or bold earrings...
I love gold jewelry and it works with my coloring. But I also love silver/platinum for some pieces. Some colors look better with silver and I find silver jewelry to have a different "vibe". I love it all. I kind of go with my mood or outfit. I also will still wear rose gold. I like to change up my accessories. Like you said, it can change the entire feeling of a look. And it's fun.🥰
Hi Anna! I sell vintage jewelry and im noticing how many young people are really reaching for and buying vintage costume jewelry (designer and even clip on earrings-!, also brooches! and even antique jewelry) and the more our generation are really into vintage mexico sterling silver jewerly! taxco chunky stuff and quality pieces. and less people are buying the classic tennis bracelet (which i love tennis bracelets so i cant stop buying them lol) its truly interesting! i love seeing jewelry trends. thank you for sharing! new subby
I have the Gingiberi pearl 3 in one earrings. Another option to wear is to reverse how you insert the posts so the smooth “plain” side faces out. Ditto for the gold version. I found that the closure was not secure and opened easily. UPDATE: I contacted Gingiberi customer service about the loose closures and they IMMEDIATELY replaced the hoops which do close securely. The customer service is outstanding and i will not hesitate to order more jewelry from this company. Beautiful affordable jewelry that the company stands behind!!
Love silver in authentic ethnic pieces - such as the navajo necklace I got in Copenhagen (I know!) 3 years ago. But boy, does silver tarnish! I'd rather put on some old pieces in white gold, for a change from yellow. As for cuff bracelets, they have been wallflowers for a few years; I shall be happy to dust them off
I always wore mixed metals. My engagement ring and wedding band are platinum, and I love gold too. Your pearls are gorgeous Anna, going to check out your sponsor for sure.
I love these videos, even though I’m a minimalist and never buy into trends. 😂❤ I have four pieces that I wear everyday and only replace if they get broken.
I'm a huge fan of paperclip chain jewelry. I have all sizes, from very dainty to chunky, as well as different metals--gold, silver, and copper. I combine them with carabiner style motifs, mainly stars and lightning bolts. Also love rainbow colored steel jewelry. I do wear mixed metals nearly all the time. I've always loved that look. I have multiple ear piercings (12 per ear) and wear standard body jewelry in those, but they are also mixed, not matched. I'm in agreement with those who say wear what you like, not necessarily what's trending at the moment. (Jan Griffiths).
Another great video thank u Anna! ❤ Jewellery is my favourite accessory, it's nice to know what I can look forward to 😊 I would love if you could do a video on how to accessorise certain basic staple outfits with the trending jewellery 🙏🏻
It's so funny that all the influencers say statement necklaces are out of fashion because every time I wear one I get compliments! Wear what you love and makes you feel good 😊
It's about knowing your own style, like the women who were featured in the first few photos. They were wearing some statement jewelry and looked stunning.
I will wear my forever jewelry anytime and whenever zi want to wear them.
Wear what you love…So happy that chunky Jewelry is back/in xx
Why are they called Influencers all of a sudden? No one gives a shit what they think
Pearls will never go out of style. They are elegant and exude class. They can be worn at all kinds of occasions, whether formal or informal.
Well I live in Florida and I can honestly say I dont see them being worn here
I see them SO much more often with men atm like mixed with sharp points in the necklace or natural shapes
I agree they are a classic...
I’m 78 years old and I have always collected jewelry that I think is beautiful. It doesn’t matter what’s in and what’s out. Wear the jewelry that compliments your outfit and makes you feel pretty.
Always yes. I love Jewelry.
Agree! Wear what makes you happy ❤
I wear whatever I feel like wearing!
After spending 3 months in the ICU 2 years ago and full recovery....I wear my "jewels " 🙃🙃EVERY single day
Mixed metals works with every outfit. Pearls never go out of style.
I am in love with rose gold and going to keep wearing it. Pearls are elegant and timeless. If I like it I wear it!
Now retired decided to wear my ‘good stuff’ food shopping rather than putting it away for a special day. And I never gave up my pearls!
I told my friend I don't care if my GOOD JEWELRY is appropriate or not ..I have stated wearing it in the past year any where and every where I wish too .. I can't take it with me !. I am 71. Why stash it away. What am I saving " it"for? Lol
Go girl!
I do the same.
I feel sorry for people who only wear what is in style whether that be jewellery or clothes. What is in style might look bad on you. Wear what you like!
Yes but you have to know how to put it together.
Yes..... Always 💐
My late mother-in-laws suitcase was in our basement for the last two years. I thought I might use it for a trip and when I opened it…. There was a velvet box with a strand of Mikimoto pearls. 😳😎.
Wow!!! That is such a find! Did she mean to leave them there?! 😄
Ooo, nice surprise!
61 year-old chiming in: wearing what I like. Yes, interested in knowing what’s “in”, but not necessarily dismissing what’s “out”. Love your channel and messages. Thank you.

So happy to hear silver is making a comeback I’m cool toned so I’ve always gravitated toward it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found a piece I like and it only comes in gold 😢
As a fellow cool toned person, I defining agree on the struggle of jewellery only being available in gold
Me as well! 😊
I’ve noticed that too! Not everything comes in silver. I think it will now! ❤️
Same! Love silver.
Oh yes! You Tubers often have jewelry companies as sponsors and I go to the sites they advertise and everything is gold. Some of these ethical jewelry companies only seem to deal in gold. The upside is silver for the consumer is that it’s cheaper.
I never stopped wearing silver. I love it. I like gold as well and love the mixed metal trend. Merry Christmas!🎄❤️
Merry Christmas, Holly! ❤️❤️
I also loved mixed metal. My wide wedding band is white and yellow gold and I love it. Silver is wonderful too. I also really like stainless steel jewelry because it is so durable.
I only wear silver whether its in or out!
What’s “in” is what you enjoy wearing!
I'd say the paperclip necklace has seen its day

I never was much into the plastic jewelry, we can get really any color we want with some kind of genuine (if color-treated), minerals or stones, plus they’re mostly very durable, unlike plastic cheapies.
Sears had beautiful semi and fashion jewelry more durable than the real deal often
And the strands of beads she put on screen were glass and semi, not plastic.
I’ve received lots of compliments on my mother’s and grandmother’s vintage and antique brooches.
Like my mom told me a looooong time ago. "Make
your own style, you don't
need to follow the crowd."
"You'll be happier." ☮️💖🌻
Vintage rose gold is beautiful! It looks nothing like modern rose gold.
Sooo excited that silver is coming back! Hopefully that shows on the hardware of bags too🤩
I think trends are fickle! Classics are the best. But I wear what I feel in the moment on the day.
That's the best way to pick your jewelry! ❤️❤️
Rose Gold jewelry is my favorite, and I will always buy and wear it!🕊
Yes friend. Mine as well. I am not trendy but classic. I wear whatever I want and love. Rose, pearls, gold and sometimes white gold jewelry. Depending on my mood not what people are telling me to wear or not to wear.
Gold was the thing when I was younger. I received a lot of sterling for my 50th birthday (23 years ago) and never looked back 😉.
Always loved Pearls and will always wear them. My favorite since I was a little girl admiring my grandmothers.
The Gingiberi ‘gold’ is not 18k gold. It is ‘gold vermeil’ which is gold plated over sterling silver. Just know this when comparing prices of real gold jewelry.😊

I am loving bracelet stacks - mixing yellow and white gold with different textures and widths. I also like wearing bracelets with my watch. I hope this “trend” is here to stay!
🙌🙌🙌
I’m a bangle wearer too, since I can just leave them on and not worry about losing them. From time to time I’ll add a bracelet and watch on my other hand, or a couple more larger bangles to my mixed gold stack. As long as it feels like fun it’s all good.
I love mixed metals and glad it’s on trend. But I also like beads. Not those big bubble necklaces just colorful beads and stones. I’ll keep wearing those.😊

I too have always loved pearls. Not only do they look good with my coloring, but pearls are my son's birthstone so they have a special meaning to me.😍
I've been mixing gold and silver together for many years. Alwsys loved it!
I’ve worn pearl jewelry since I got my first, single pearl-drop, necklace for my 18th birthday. I’m 63 now and have always loved and worn pearls.

I agree on ditching the matching sets. I used to love those, but lately I wear either earrings or a necklace, but not both at the same time
Pearls never quite go out. Plus, they look good on everyone.
I lost my freshwater pearl heart Tiffany necklace. But, I do agree with wearing your good jewelry every day anyway!
Oh no!! Hopefully it was while doing something exciting 😄

Yahoo about time I have been wearing Silver and Gold together since I was a teenager I am now 60 yrs of age. I knew someday I would be trendy 😂
Glad you gave us an update on jewelry. Thank you! Do you plan to show what may be fashionable for everyday eyeglasses? I will need a new pair in 2024 and I would love to look modern, but at the moment I am clueless about this important piece of fashion.
I love mixed metals - I’m too warm for silver, but I mix it in for a cool look. And - I do love my rose gold, mixing all 3 is fun.
Turquoise Jewelry is very In, Pearls are never out of style & of course genuine gemstone jewelry or Birthstone jewelry.
Wear what you want folks and what makes you feel good and happy!!
Don't worry about what is supposedly in or out! You make it in!!
Rose gold jewelry is so much more flattering on my skin than silver and gold. I definitely have to hold on to that.
Same here.
Same here. I love it. ❤
I have love and en clou in rose, it blends into skin tone and mixes with gold or white, so she’s wrong. Hold onto it
same here!
I love silver ❤
Me too. Silver looks better on me than gold. I've always preferred silver or white gold. (Jan Griffiths).
So fun that bows are back in! And hearts! I have filigree silver hearts that I got maybe 30 years ago and a chunky silver bow also I never ditched!
LOVE HEARTS
I keep everything I love!!! I’ve wore brootches for years always get compliments vintage clothing never goes out in my book!!!! I wear what I want to wear I make my own style❤️
Love wearing pearls so I am glad they are in fashion. Gold and silver jewelry and accessories can look amazing together. Great video. Enjoyed it immensely!
It's almost there. I love gold and silver together or white gold and yellow gold together
Yes! ❤️❤️❤️
Love rose gold. Think it's timeless and elegant. Costume rose gold on other hand
I wear my Saphires all the time!
Just bought some dainty bow earring I’m excited to try them!
I love the gold and silver together since I'm a cool toned gal with a large gold wedding band. I wear them together boldly.
I'm cool toned so silver, white gold and rose gold look better on me.
Absolutely love this! ❤️❤️❤️
So happy about pearls coming back! I'm just starting to make jewellery and I have been wondering, well there we are!
I’m excited about the Pearl trend coming back… need to go dig back through my jewelry case🧡
Thank you for this rundown! I think I'm inspired to go design a few new jewelry pieces💍
Yay!! 🙌🙌🙌
I’ve mixed metals since high school (90’s). Always loved the look!
I like your presentation. Glad silver is back, but I never stopped wearing it. Cheers
As a blonde in my younger self, it was gold! Now silver is best for my gray
❤️❤️❤️
I love pearls!!!
Love pearls...love to mix metals. My jewelry box is FILLED with natural stones, this is my year!! 😂❤
Love silver in authentic ethnic pieces - such as the navajo necklace I got in Copenhagen (I know!) 3 years ago. But boy, does silver tarnish! I'd rather put on some old pieces in white gold, for a change from yellow. As for cuff bracelets, they have been wallflowers for a few years; I shall be happy to dust them off
I also don’t like having to polish my silver jewelry all the time… but I force myself to do it! 🤣😄
I always wore mixed metals. My engagement ring and wedding band are platinum, and I love gold too. Your pearls are gorgeous Anna, going to check out your sponsor for sure.
My engagement and wedding ring are platinum as well! I've never gotten tired of it ❤️❤️
I love these videos, even though I’m a minimalist and never buy into trends.
24 carats gold in yellow color is always my go to. Not only for leveling up the look but also it's a part of my investment.
Too soft for jewellery as you know
@@vannaeldwijk7075 I know that. In my country, wearing 24 carats gold daily is normal.
You forgot those weird fabric fan shaped tassel -esque earrings! LOL.
Merry Christmas and thanks for such a great channel I love so much! 🎄❄️🥂
Another great video thank u Anna! ❤ Jewellery is my favourite accessory, it's nice to know what I can look forward to 😊 I would love if you could do a video on how to accessorise certain basic staple outfits with the trending jewellery 🙏🏻
I like that idea! More on that soon ❤️
I appreciate the what's in, but also the what's out. This was well researched. Great pics too. Thank you.
