The unsolved stuff really triggers me. I can’t imagine going through life knowing some scumbag that killed someone I love is just out there walking around.
I always had a mediocre at best relationship with my dad, but one day when I was young he said “I don’t care for watching executions or people dying, but if they hurt my family, I’d be in the front row seat”. He’s a damn good worker and that quote really helped me understand what family is ☺️
Yeah, it beyond sucks. I've lost 2 friends over the years to unsolved reasons - one when I was a child, a disappearance, they found the body 20 years later and my best friend in Canada was found shot to death and his body had been thrown in a dumpster.
Mike didn’t go into it as much as other videos have, but there was a LOT of back and forth drama with her family and him. They knew it was him from the start and did everything they could to keep her memory alive and the investigation open and moving forward while all he did was hinder and be an a$$hole.
As soon as the dude was asked a simple question like why he didn’t call his wife when she wasn’t in bed and responded with a 2 minute diatribe that has nothing to do with the question I knew he was guilty as shit
I know right. A simple, "sometimes she's out with her family or friends" would've sufficed. But he goes into this rant about he has to take care of the kids? weird af
I have been seeing a reoccurring thing where the husbands do not take part in the search effort. This is definitely red flags to the police and should be.
@Babylonian Cowboy I feel like maybe the authorities might ask them to sit the physical search out in case they came across their loved one's potentially mutilated dead body and ended up traumatized.
Are ya sure he didn't say 'goofster' bud? As in 'goofing around'? Plus mike and I are both from the same place, so the accent is lost on me! (And if you're right bout the 'goobster' thing, my apologies )

Can we just take a minute to appreciate all the footage, research, audio and video editing, and everything else that goes into these videos so consistently? AND a super-size episode ot of nowhere? Great job, keep up the amazing work!
I think Houck killed Crystal during an argument, maybe after Crystal said she is leaving him. And then he called up his brother to get help with disposing of her body and evidence. Her body was moved in the brother's cop car trunk. So technically, the brother didn't kill anyone, but is lying.
UPDATE: October of 2023, Brooks Houck (Crystal Rogers’ boyfriend) has been _ARRESTED & CHARGED WITH THE MURDER OF CRYSTAL ROGERS._ *_Crystal Rogers has still never been found._* 🕯️
Nice! Well there you go, plus all those people saying polygraphs are inconclusive. Now I wanna know how. He really tried to talk and do everything to influence the investigation. And whatever happened to the father? Was that to scare the family? Weird.
@@olegdepapaThey’re not inconclusive. They do not work. On average they correctly identify a lie 80% of the time with 60% false positives. That means the polygraph is literally worse than random chance. You could flip a coin and beat it by 2 percentage points. That’s crazy. It’s really childish that people still believe in a magic truth box. Think about the logic of it- if the thing worked, why would there ever, ever ever be innocent people convicted of crimes they did not commit? We should be able to test them all with the magic box and figure out they’re telling the truth. Mind boggling.
Right before that, when he started speaking on his wife throwing him under the bus, red flag there. He got REALLY loud on that, visibly upset too, then he had to calm himself down when he transitioned into speaking about the search and all with police.
That is a very classic trademark of somebody that has committed murder. They try as hard as they can to distance themselves from the person they are accused of murdering, whether it be by talking shit or slandering their name or throwing them under the bus or what have you, the whole while making themselves the shining star, sometimes with a holier than thou attitude.
@@anonymousher0 EXACTLY. The crazy part is THEY BELIEVE IT!! THEY BELIEVE THEIR CRAZY. Lol it's never their fault. And their actions are totally transparent!

@Lux Aeterna It doesn't look like there's much evidence at all, I don't know why everybody is jumping to conclusions. Hopefully something will show up soon though.
Big development in this case recently, with the prosecutor stating that they think they have the gun that killed Tommy Ballard, and it was owned by Nick Houck
He had a whole convo. in the middle of an interview "for show" instead of saying, I'm in an interview, I will call you back. He killed that girl, at this moment, I knew.

That poor teacher’s other daughter lost her entire immediate family. Her dad died a yr before, then her Mom & little sister. How tragic. RIP Kathy & Samantha🕊🕊.
It's also awful that the reward for information on the officer killed was $200,000 and information regarding the brutal execution of a mother and daughter was $50,000. That just doesn't seem okay.
My good good friends brother lost his whole immediate family as well its sad. My friends mom, my friends dad, and my good good friend passed and all left was my good friends brother and my friends kids.. its sad but dude is strong and im so happy for that. R.I.P Nate. Miss you wey.
Just looking at how these cases might be connected, officer Ellis had a child with down syndrome which in some ways might be considered special needs, the second victim was a special education teacher from the school. I don't know if officer Ellis's child was in her class, but that would connect them. Officer Ellis worked the same shift as officer Houck who would be aware of his return home routine, officer Houck's sister in-law goes missing. I don't have enough information to link the Houcks to the school teacher and her daughter but maybe there is a connection, was the daughter used as a baby sitter for Houcks children at any time, perhaps she knew things or overheard something in that year after officer Ellis was killed while looking after the kids. Maybe something worth looking into as it appeared that the most brutal attack was on Samantha the daughter.
Steve if you are on to something and I think you are, you may need to learn the art of dodging and weaving as you make your way through your daily chores.
My brain jumped on this right when I took notice one of the children looked down syndrome, and in the next murder one was a special needs teacher. Connection there for sure.
Exactly what I was thinking they eliminated anyone who got in the way of the secrets they hold, someone knows something about these two brothers, secrets always unravel in one way or another karma always comes knocking
Nope. Sketchy ass actions by both parties. Why wouldn't you look for the mother of your child? And why would a police officer be so defiant when it comes to helping out? Oh and the polygraph failure pissed him off. Classic sign of guilt is to exude anger and force dominance and try to force their innocence.
@@brandenhall9254 And the dude Brooks impugns his missing wife, talking about Crystal going out with her friends to “Fantasy Parties” like that’s a crime. It was a Sex Toy Party-so what. And the dirty cop calls himself a “Victim.”
I hope the truth finally comes out. It's not a stretch at all to imagine some kind of situation where knew about but did not want to participate in some kind of police department scam/grift operation so needed to silenced and that Crystal Rogers had figured out or was starting to figure out that the Houcks were involved somehow so she had to be silenced too. What I can't figure is how the Netherland murders factor in. Car seen near the scene and Crystal Rogers' car were both dark colored Impalas which might mean her car was used that night by the one or both of the brothers, but Impalas are also common cars (especially in rental car fleets). Maybe the Houck brothers kill for fun as well as for self-preservation and the Netherland's were targeted because it was just the two of them in the house? Wonder if Ms. Netherland ever had police come out to take a report on the windows and if Officer Houck was the responding officer.

The connection must be law enforcement except the mother and daughter who were a distraction. The cop at the start was one of the best at his job, then a year on the mother and daughter are killed to distract and mislead the trail. Then Brooke Houck contends to be the sheriff (A contest that is somewhat easier without the top cop). Him and his lover fall out and she disappears without a trace, and the only person actively looking for her a couple years on and likely to stumble onto something the gets shot precisely enough to kill with the one bullet. Even the trip to the farm could have been a distraction as he tells the cops he was there with her earlier that day, then goes there after the interview, while shes probably buried the exact opposite side of the town.

Yeah, that's what happens when cops are involved in DV. The courts side with whatever the cop wants, and in this case it's getting Crystal's family out of his brother's life. How long until they kill this poor boy, I wonder?
What happened to the 5 kids Crystal had when she met Brooks and then had one with him? Did he get custody of all 6 kids and the Grandma was denied visitation? How does that work?
Crystal's mother is going through a harrowing time. That picture, in the end, sums up her heartbreaking reality. Her eyes speak volumes. I sincerely hope she is doing well, though that would be against all odds. Lovely lady.
She really does seem like a sweet lady. Very soft spoken with that gentle southern charm. What a heavy load to have to carry through the rest of her life.
Absolutely heartbreaking. And despite the pain of losing her daughter, she is more worried for her grand babies. What a beautiful selfless lady. I wish her family all the best.
Amen to that. And I think of the Shakespearean quote,"Me thinks she doth protest too much." The more someone protests that they're absolutely innocent, honest, etc., the more I'm convinced they're absolutely not.
Evening all! Glad to be here to listen to another chapter with our dear Mike. As always, your work is very much appreciated x look after yourselves everyone 😊
Crystal’s car is the same one in the picture from the surveillance image. Brooks used it in connection with the crime! My first thought was that it looked like a detective car, one that Brooks brother would have had access to!
I was waiting for Brooks to humble brag about something during his staged phone call, "hey don't be hard on yourself, sure I saved the orphans from that burning building, but at least you saved a couple of kittens, the point is we both risked our lives in Louisville that day and didn't take any credit because gosh darn it, that's who we are".
"what was that? you want to borrow some money from me? well thats fine since I'm a millionaire. what did you say? your still impressed with my 13 inch dong that you accidentally saw in high-school?"
My brother and I found ourselves in Bardstown last summer, and we were utterly charmed by the town. Like, my brother wondered how he could talk his company into letting him start an office there. We're army brats, so we've driven through a lot of small towns all over the country, and yes, it's very much one of the most beautiful.
Wait I think you might be on to something... So my theory now is, one of the brothers, probably Nick decides he wants K9 cop dead. (Not sure of reason, could be simple like telling him off or a promotion or something) Brooks does it so there's no obvious connection and Nick has an alibi. Brooks has to follow Jason to learn his schedule and in doing so comes crosses paths with Kathy. Maybe fearing he's been seen? Maybe simply noticing it's two women on their own? Who knows but I feel like that's what would have given the connection. Following Jason and seeing Kathy. Maybe both brothers kill them. Now Nick owes Brooks. The only thing that doesn't make sense is, if they were this smart to get away with these murders at this point, and if it's premeditated, why wouldn't Brooks give himself a better alibi than "I fell asleep, woke up and she's gone"? Doesn't feel right .
Bless that woman's heart. I couldn't imagine losing so much, especially when they were murdered and it wasn't natural causes, if anything develop please keep us updated Mike.
I live in Lexington have friends out there , this shit will have one of two outcomes.

Keep an eye on the Crystal Rogers case. FBI has been at the Houck family farm for most of this week.
Him and his lover fall out and she disappears without a trace, and the only person actively looking for her a couple years on and likely to stumble onto something the gets shot precisely enough to kill with the one bullet.
Even the trip to the farm could have been a distraction as he tells the cops he was there with her earlier that day, then goes there after the interview, while shes probably buried the exact opposite side of the town.
@@illkaw it was said the mother worked at a school and she was saying she knew who killed the cop. All the signs are still up on the Bluegrass Pkwy. And last summer the Kentucky State Police were asking if anyone had any brush removed at the time of the cop's murder and for them to call the KSP. Because it was fresh brush across the road that night.

My grandfather managed to stay up there, but the other man slipped & fell & died. My grandfather followed better safety after that.

I think he was trained to say that. Everyone at the Senate hearing for January 6 answered questions like that. It has to be law enforcement training.
Yup, murderers and politicians fav answer.
I totally agree with you and thats a great observation. I apreciate you making that observation.
I know it’s common for people to be trained to say that in debates or interviews so they have time to pause and think of an answer before they speak but if you’re being interviewed/asked simple questions about what you did that day like in this case, it’s def so he has time to lie/make sure he doesn’t say something incriminating.
I live in Bardstown and this is somehow my first time seeing this video. I had no clue that these cases went viral like this. UPDATE to this case: The FBI took over the case and as of today, August 25th 2021, they've spent two days digging under the driveways of houses Brooks was building when Crystal went missing. At first they were keeping their digging a secret, but then intentionally let the local news see where they were digging. I'd like to think they just want Brooks to know they're digging there.

Maybe the connection with Kathy Netherland and her daughter was Jason Ellis’ son having special needs since she was a special needs teacher.
Exact same thought I had
I noticed that too!
