90% of what kendall covers I've never even heard about. How are people supposed to raise awareness of these cases, when they are being so wrongly policed? It's really just sad. Its these true crime youtubers who bring awareness, and when you silence them you are just silencing the victim and their loved ones.
I’m a mom. If I found my daughter in this state, I would be taking her straight to the emergency room. Maybe she tried drugs for the first time or maybe she was drugged and assaulted. I’d rather know, and know she’s okay, then deal with the consequences.
I think I'd try to help my daughter through the trip if she wasn't self-harming or having bp/respiratory distress. You're talking about a huge can of worms. Of course, I definitely support the decision if a parent doesn't feel comfortable with their ability to assess the situation.
It is so weird to me why no one ever question her friends or her boyfriend? Like they found her in the weirdest way possible . She was scared why no one talks about what went down that night?
To my understanding her boyfriend and friends have been questioned. I've been following this case since it happened and for awhile I thought that too but the boyfriend actually commented on a facebook page we are in for Karlie and confirmed it. I do think ALOT of information is missing like exactly what happened that night with her and the friends. Also if you listen to Melissa At first she said her and karly went to sleep and the boys went to sleep then she says when her and karly woke back up because karly couldn't sleep or whatever they joined the boys back in the living room but the boys were already supposed to be asleep in bed from what she had said there's just a lot of holes in this story she also gave a report that when she woke up in the morning before she even looked for karly or anything she took her two boys to her brother's house then she came back and started looking for karly there's a lot of red flags with Melissa
@@amyrobison4676 yes i totally agree Melissa first said she woke up goes to wake up everybody like she does all the time tham realizes karlie's is not there and then she said she woke up right away she understands karlie's gone and the started looking for her.
Exactly my thoughts 💭 it’s very possible that she was laced or experimenting and her friends don’t want to come forward they didn’t even acknowledge being with her that day and the “party” was never confirmed by anyone.
@@quinnjack9575 they weren’t able to thoroughly question her friends because they were minors and their parents didn’t allow them to be questioned by the police which is legal in most states of course they can always wait until the teens are adults but because they suspect karlie Willingly left they have no reason to believe she’s dead.🥲
ANA801234 it’s hard to say. I can’t remember the small details anymore, but nobody took into account what if it had nothing to do with the drugs? It seems to me like she willingly left...I defiantly think the parents had nothing to do with it. But who knows if she had gotten kidnapped after leaving, died on her own terms, or ran off with somebody.
I totally agree that the case is not being focused on correctly. I feel like from day one the parents were blaming each other instead of trying to dig deeper, if she left her phone behind did of the parents do the liberty of trying to figure out where she got those drugs and who she had been talking to before her disappearance? who knows the person who drugged her could have known exactly what he/she was doing
I find it strange that Karlie was never taken to the hospital. That's the first thing I would have thought of doing if a person was having a bad trip and I didn't know what they took. I'd be afraid to have them or myself fall asleep in worry something would happen.
True but i feel like theres a good balance. I personally think the step-mom shouldnt make so many livestreams but rather focus on serious interviews and the real mom shouldnt be so accusatory. At the end of the day i agree with Kendall in saying that the real subject shouldnt be whos right but rather to find Karlie united.
For real! She even asked her step mother to call 911. If she was worried enough to record her she should have just taken her to the ER and got her system pumped.
I agree! I feel like its a possibility that she DID end up overdosing and dying and they hid the body bc she had that recording refusing to call 911 even though Karlie asked.. just an idea tho but the step mom is def suspish to me.. I hope she is miraculously found safe somehow! Poor thing was SO young
I’m interested in who she was with earlier that night. She can’t possibly have been the only one doing those drugs. One of her friends must’ve seen something
yea, weird that there was no mention on the people she was supposedly with that night???? why wouldn't you go straight to them to figure out what she took?
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe they cant talk about it bc its an ongoing case. But it wouldve shed some light to know what she was on if her friends that night did the same stuff and offered a tox screen in due time.
Crickets? He lost business partners, its the #1 reason people hate him, everyone talked about it, famous TH-camrs like philip defranco reported on it. That was a huge ordeal. I think TH-cam was even debating deleting his channel and banning him from the platform
idk anything about that case but i lived in Juarez when i was little and i know the cartel and human trafficking there is no joke. coverage is important but i don't think its a big mystery on what happened.
My family is actually from Cocula where the bodies we’re supposedly burned. There is so much to this story! Sucks that people from our town are too scared to talk. She should totally do this story!
She said that she doesn’t want to do this one because it is possibly connected to the Mexican mafia and she doesn’t want to put herself or her family in danger
I’m curious about the “friends” she was with that night. Are they all ok & accounted for? None of them had adverse reactions to whatever they took? Maybe she left the house because of something that happened with her friends. It’s weird to me there doesn’t seem to be anything about them/that.
If I were drugged up acting weird, my parents would track down all the friends I was with and demand to know exactly what I took or was given then take me to the ER right away. So yeah the fact that they didn’t do any of that is very SUSPICIOUS.
Watch them wholesome memes kid Abby Griffin that’s a popular misconception. If you go to the hospital for an OD or bad reaction to an illegal drug you won’t get arrested for doing the drugs. Similarly, if someone calls 911 bc they’re witnessing an OD, they caller won’t be charged even if they’re doing the same illegal drugs (I believe they’re called bystander laws). Like they^ said, hospitals don’t want to discourage people from getting medical attention.
Watch them wholesome memes kid Abby Griffin most hospitals keep things like that confidential and because it was a 16 year old they likely wouldnt have reported it to the police. I have friends that have drank/done drugs underage and had to go to hospital and they dont say anything
I'm a sex trafficking survivor. And I truly pray that if she's alive, that she is not in that situation at all. Everyone knows it's bad but it's even worse than the documentaries you watch. And the people involved are people you'd never expect. I'm in therapy and get scared at my own Shadow,it's officially been one year since I managed to escape. I wouldn't wish those events or the aftermath on my worst enemy.
In all honesty, if my daughter comes home like this, really scared and paranoid, I would immediately call 911, first of all to get her tested for drugs, but also there might be a real reason for the fear. What if something happened? On the other hand if we believe Melissa's story to be true, I think Karlie really trusted her, when she wanted her to sleep in the same bed and didn't leave her side. If that's true I wonder what made her leave then finally?
Ariane Alassaf yeah my mum is exactly the same, so it seemed a bit weird that she didn’t take her to the ER to check. Tbf if she was on something, that made her increasingly paranoid anything could’ve made her leave. When I’m drunk and in bed paranoid I usually sleep with my mum to feel safe? Maybe she didn’t feel safe? Or she thought she saw something and felt like she had to leave? I mean there could’ve been numerous things that have happened to her, or even the stepmum could’ve lied about the whole thing. There isn’t a lot on the case tbf.
That’s what I was thinking. If my child came home tripping, I’d take them to the hospital straight away. Weed is one thing, but once they’re having hallucinations or anything like that, I’d be worried it could kill her. I’d rush her to the ER for sure, not just for her but also Incase something happened to another child as well. I also would’ve been worried maybe she was sexually assaulted or something. Even if the drugs made her paranoid, she could’ve been taken advantage of due to being high while not being able to properly explain what happened, resulting in increased paranoia.
@@chellychels4356 I think that the parents weren't aware of the actual effects of marijuana and thought it was just a part of the high, I also think they didn't take her to the hospital because weed is a huge recreational drug and didn't think karly was at risk. Just a thought tho
The stepmom: 1) was the last person to be with her 2) was the only sober adult who fully understood what was going on with this girl, so she could/should have brought her to the ER 3) excessively put herself out there on social media 4) made “she’s cute” comments in an awkward/playful way that gave me chills 5) did not want to share the audio recording 6) was the one to pick her up. She claims that she was on drugs and acting weird when she picked her up, but no one ever called the friends and confirmed? 7) said she would call 911 and did not Obviously I don’t know what happened, but the step-mother is very suspicious.
The most likely outcome imo is that she left of her own accord, and someone might have seen her stumbling around or picked her up and taken advantage of her vulnerable state.
I agree, that is one of my two main theories. I also think she may have ran off (because of her altered state) and possibly got lost in the desert and passed from exposure/ dehydration.
“youtube doesn’t like that” THE SHADEEE in all seriousness tho youtube needs to realize that their new rules and policy is hurting a lot of youtubers in what they can and cannot post
Marlene Turcios I don’t understand the whole “kid friendly thing” first of all, if a parent doesn’t want their kids watching something im pretty sure they can handle it. So what’s with the parenting thing? Secondly, im 17 and im tired of the babying thing I know cuss words exist😂 i know about sex and drugs yada yada. Im tired of all the censoring I can only imagine how actual adults feel third, the issues youtube tries to address or whatever is majorly flawed. Like their guidelines are bull. And then when there’s a problem they go about it all wrong
They did talk to them. They also talked to Karlie's boyfriend. I'm not sure he knows what Karlie took, which is confusing and makes me think Karlie had one of those weird reactions to MJ possibly. Karlie ran away from her own bf after she asked him to hug her but suddenly was terrified of him and started running down the street. That's when Melissa saw her and picked her up.
They should (if they haven’t already) check with the friends parents to see if they had a reaction similar or with her friends to see if she smoked more.
it's actually not uncommon for THC to induce positive symptoms of schizophrenia (hallucinations, delusions, paranoia) in some people. I believe she was being honest.
totally agree. i have a friend i used to hang out with, we smoked 🍃 once and he had the same symptoms: horrible paranoia, delusions, even aggression. and i know it wasn’t laced bc i bought that stuff in colorado from a regulated dispensary.
Yes, and this isn't to say the weed she smoked wasn't laced/enhanced, but I'm an adult and am embarrassed to admit that I've recently experienced "trips" from mere weed. I didn't think that was a possibility, but I hallucinated visually and aurally (seeing and hearing things that weren't there) and it scared the heck out of me, and scared the hell out of my boyfriend.
eh, I've actually met up with my friends way more this year, than I did all of last year. So I would say this year hasn't been too bad as a 14 year old with a bike and essential worker parents.
Leslie Martinez it’s so dumb that they are doing that - it is literally taking down a type of content! Edit: if you did that to the beauty community they would be pissed!
Love Puppy 2007 the beauty community is fun and all but what youtubers like Kendall do is spread awareness however her content, that can literally save a life, gets taken down.
Watching this in 2022.. and even after that scary and sad story, I bust out in laughter at the end when you said “It’s 2020, let’s get our shit together next year.” Oh the irony.
I thought the SAME! Oh, you don't even know Kendall 😒 And your viewers CERTAINLY didn't!! That planner is going to be FILLED...with a lot of nothing but home stuff and poss Dr appts 🤷🏻♀️
the parents are made to stay home during the searches in case the missing child returns home or in case someone calls with info. it is not a negligent choice.
I have a friend who accidentally smoked “green” that was laced during a high school lunch break. She couldn’t leave her car afterwords and said she felt like her skin was melting off. Her parents took her to the ER like smart people. That’s what this girls parents should have done for her!
She should’ve been brought to the ER, even if you think it’s just weed. If that was my child, and they were paranoid to that point, please take them to the hospital. They may have been laced with strong hallucinogenics, and those who don’t know that they are tripping go down a dark hole
She said she slept with her and then left to do something, I can’t remember correctly bc she said she did alot of different things. Came back and karls was gone
Why did her father call to tell her mother she was gone? Why wouldn’t he have asked the mom if she had heard from her or if she was there first? That was a red flag to me.
That's my thought!!! If you think she ran away why wouldn't you call relative's, especially the bio mom to see if she has heard from Karlie? She could have hitched a ride, especially since supposedly she was seen near the highway!
What if the step mom gave her benzodiazepines (anti anxiety drugs common ones are Xanax) and the pill interacted with whatever drug she was on and died? Because it’s really dangerous to mix downers and uppers it can stop your heart.
I really dont think that if the step mom or dad had anything to do with it that they would of kept or told anyone about the recording especially with her asking to call 911.
A lot of anti anxiety meds are SSRI’s and they can interact with almost anything! Even ibruprofen! It’s entirely possible that if she already had something in her system it could have killed her.
I think she was on spice! My friend smoked “weed” in high school that was bought from some unknown person and i was with her when it got really dark, really fast. She stayed up all night and going in and out of recognizing me and others then thinking we were strangers. She kept trying to go outside with no clothes on, and thought that there were babies screaming in the woods. (Suburban neighborhood with a few trees, no woods.) It was truly a bad trip. It was like babysitting someone having a very dark schizophrenic episode. Most spice is similar to bath salts and have similar highs to methamphetamine. This is so sad :(
@@aspen2098 It’s been proven to trigger psychotic or depressive episodes, especially in younger people. It also impairs cognition and cognitive development. Be wary of the government telling you that weed’s “good” for you. It’s in their interests for you to be dumb and passive.
My ex boyfriend was good friends with her brother. He told me that all of Bishop is still very suspicious of her stepmom because they know her and say she stayed bullshitting the media.
It’s weird that she “left” but didn’t want her step mom to leave her side the whole night. Someone as paranoid as she was wouldn’t have left especially without her phone.
Sasha Ruiz right!! dr phil saïd that paranoia is a good reason to flee, but if i’m paranoid i’m keeping my ass where i’m at and if i’m leaving i’m for sure bringing my phone...
Exactly to "paranoid" to be alone in her room but takes off in the dark from the safty of her home and family. No place to go and no cell phone. I call bullshit.
Unless you're off your rocker on something hard. I remember back when I popped pills I ran around town and sprinted down country roads because I was paranoid
People with drugs in their system do strange things. I've seen someone throw their cell phone over a cemetery wall while drugs were still in their system.
Probably because he knows that they were lying and suspects that they were responsible for her death. He would be pressing the issue because he thinks they are deliberately mentioning the recording while refusing to show it.
Tbh in my mind when she woke up Karlie was ‘gone’ like not alive. In the Dr. Phil show her body language is like she reached out almost to like shake somebody to wake up. Mouths might lie, body language doesn’t.
theres a case going on in my area surrounding a missing 5 year old girl named Dulce Maria Alavez. her mom was on dr. phil and many people are suspecting her mom due to lack of emotion. id really love if you could give this case some exposure. there are many social media posts out there with false information and its very frustrating to figure out what is actually occurring. thanks xoxo
jenn lemmelin yeah I try to not be too judgmental but honestly my first thought was like...yo who even feels comfortable going to sleep in the first place when their child is having an adverse reaction to anything let alone a drug? Where is common sense
The story by stepmom gave me creeps: says Karlie wanted to call 911 & that's a drastic request from a teen. She knew she was in bad shape. Later she's 'gone', no call yet to LE, but stepmom says she & the Dad (who'd been drinking all night) drive around in remote areas "looking for her". Then still, before calling LE (I believe) stepmom is 'blasting' all over social media asking for help??? My first intuition is that Karlie died during the night or early morning and the dad & stepmom disposed of her body so as to not be held responsible for negligent death of young girl. It doesn't sound like Karlie had the wherewithal to venture outside (without being seen?) towards Hwy. 6 where lost kids are picked up. If and when her body is found out in the wild there's no way to prove how she got there since stepmom has already told and stuck to her story. Bad judgment on the parents' part (not the mom), the poor girl needed medical help for an O.D.
Barb Ra I’ve gotten too high at *19* and tried to go to a hospital, felt like something bad was gonna happen.. I was so out of my mind I wanted to jump into traffic. It was an awful night but I got through it thanks to my many past experiences with psychedelics. Now if I was 16, I would’ve taken that situation way too serious probably would’ve acted on in a permanent way. When u experience the loss of your stability and security for the first time, every experience that’s led up to it matters.
The step mom said something about her wanting to color. I remember seeing one of those Live PD videos about these people on meth who had coloring books and a lot of pencils and the cop said something along the lines of "I dont know what it is about meth and coloring books but it's pretty typical to see meth heads with coloring books" maybe whatever she smoked was laced with meth? Which would explain the paranoia and no sleeping
OMG I JUST TOLD SOMEONE ABOUT THAT EPISODE LIKE 3 DAYS AGO!!!! Awesome observation!! It would certainly explain the extreme paranoia, hallucinations and being up all night. I'm not familiar with the area in CA where she lives but i know meth is a HUGE problem out there.
I can't stand Dr Phil, He really thinks he's something more then a talk show host. He's not the police, the fbi or a current Dr, he has no right to inclusive recordings or to interview ppl who don't want to be on his show. He centered the show about the family drama, not actually trying to find Karli
Honestly I bet the reason they didn't want the world to hear it is because of judgements from the public hearing this missing girl on drugs before she disappeared, and I don't blame them one bit, that's such an invasion of privacy, and they let him hear it anyways, there's no need for everyone else to hear it, I'm not mad at them for that at all
honestly i feel like this entire case, everyone's focusing more on the drama between the families and not on karli. there's a missing teenager who was on a bad trip after hanging out with her friends, and everyone's trying to find out who's guilty of making her go missing rather than finding her (or her remains, as much as i hate to say it). their priorities are in the wrong place.
Bc people survive. I know many people that were taking weird stuff and was very in distress but were ok after a day/week. It wears off + isn't smoking w illegal? Who thought this would happen honestly?
If you've ever personally tripped out on drugs, you know the difference between giving the drugs a few hours to get out of your system vs you need medical help. We can say, "You should've done this or that." But we're all individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, so we all react differently to situations. Yeah, I'm sure looking back now they wish they would've done differently, but I won't fault them for trying to take care of this at home without a $5500 hospital bill. Yeah... that's how much an ER visit cost, IF you don't stay overnight. If you end up staying overnight, that's another $3000 to $5000 per additional day.
@@bluekidmiha778 healthcare providers aren’t legal authorities and therefore will not report drug use unless in extreme circumstances. It violates patient provider confidentiality
There are definitely places and hospitals/healthcare facilities that would mandate a report on a minor being on drugs in some cases. Not to mention that the hospital can literally not do anything for someone who is high on weed. Marijuana can 100% cause paranoia and strange behaviour in some people and the parents had no reason to think it anything but that. If she were struggling to breath or having a medical crisis I could see why people would be harsh on the parents for not taking her in but that doesn't sound like the case here. Hospital might have given her fluids and a bed to sleep in. I don't blame these parents for trying to let her ride it out at home thinking she was safe.
I thought the same thing! In the live videos the stepmom kept going on about how pretty Karlie was and I perceived it as: my really pretty stepdaughter is "gone", feel bad for me
I see other channels making videos with no regard to the victims and their families and those videos don’t get taken down. The way that you present cases and have so much respect for the families you talk about is admirable.
So wait a damn second-as a parent why weren’t they more concerned?! If I’m running through the night My mom would’ve been going crazy asking if I’m okay, where everyone is etc and definitely would’ve taken me to a hospital first thing she’d think is “she has to be on something !” Her dad and step mom definitely know more than they’re leading on!
My mom would’ve called every single contact in her phone until she found out wtf happened AND took me to a hospital. I actually stayed out one night with some people I wasn’t supposed to, my mom found me and took my ass to a police station and made me write a report. You have to be a hardass when it comes to your kids or else something like this happens.
Right ? Shit as a mom I would've gotten her , had the cops show up and also roll up at the "friends" house to find out what tf happened to my daughter 👌
My mom would for sure cuss out all my friends, interrogate them until they told, called all their parents and fir sure taken me to the ER. I cant understand why they never took her to the ER. We all know what weed does to people and this isnt it.
You are all suffering from heindsight judging...I'm not saying the step mom is 100 percent innocent but we DONT know anything for sure. This doesn't help only hurts.
PLEASE READ! *HEIDI BROUSSARD* I sent a video request about this local missing women in austin. She is missing along with her 2 week old baby margo. The case is very similar to Chris Watts and this case needs coverage. Thank you Kendall!
Nakiah I just said this same thing! Why is she recounting the entire night on FB live? Just put the info out about her being missing! She’s is hiding something
She was able to stay wide awake to keep cleaning her name...butttt couldn't stay awake while her stepdaughter was in a crucial state of mind and had a bad trip.
I think she was just making people aware that he stepdaughter was missing and she explained the night to them so they knew what time, what happened, and why she was missing. She described her in ways like cute and stuff because you know, sometimes it's hard to describe someone when you're kinda panicked. Being cute is part of people's personalities. You can ACT cute. I don't think she was hiding anything. You would fall asleep at 5 in the morning and not realize that Karlie left her bed. I bet Melissa was exhausted after dealing with a high child who was having mood swings. It's a lot to handle.
As a nurse, an older sister, and a parent the first thing I would have done after picking up my child after a conversation like that, I'd be taking them straight to the hospital for an evaluation, and then go after the friends/boyfriend for some serious questioning.
if you know a lot of people and your child is missing, facebook live or instagram live or anywhere you can spread the word is a good idea, although, i’m extremely suspicious of the dad and stepmom and think they have involvement.
@@MARYWTHER i hear you, but the mom was nowhere near where she lived with her dad, the stepmom was supposedly layin right next to the kid in her bed -shrug- .. so idk, BTW merry xmas!
Funny, the step mom is doing a lot, "she's doing too much" the mom isn't vocal "she's not doing enough". What's wrong with us as humans? It shows that we will never be satisfied
had the same feeling, its a family in crisis, if we not helping in any way we should at least refrain from judging, I just hope Karlie is not suffering...
I don't think its so much what shes doing but how she's doing it. I just feel like the majority of people find her disingenuous. even watching her live streams her body language doesn't come off as someone who's gravely concerned and deeply hurting for a missing family member, but instead as someone who's trying to tell a story the right way, if that makes sense.
No the biological mother asked everyone to stop speculating so they did not hinder the investigation she thought from the beginning that something was up with the stepmoms story . Which has changed many times and she was referring to her in past tense 10 hours missing . Also dad was just arrested for domestic violence.
They said she was back and forth with freaking out and hallucinating to being completely fine. If she wants them to call because her legs are melting or something.... Ummm No, I wouldn't be calling. We didn't hear the recording to know the whole context of it. It's a very serious charge to stop someone from contacting law enforcement. Obviously that's not what she did
wokring at the hospital i can tell you noone has the time to supervise a child on drugs either. she wouldve just bolted from there if thats what happened. maybe it wouldve even gotten worse. the hospital cant do more than take blood and deterime what drugs are being given and supervise vital functions. which is also what you can do at home for your teen where they feel save. imo putting your child with a bad trip and no signs of vital dysfunction in a hospital is just refusing to take responsbility for yourself. "puh just put it on the hospital!"... no. take care of your loved ones yourself. make sure they are fine. in the hospital they dont have the time and sadly sometimes they also dont care. avoiding responsbility with the tiniest of medical issues is NOT the way to go.
Her weed didn't have to be laced to be acting strange. People have different reactions. If you have BPD weed can cause you to have derealization/depersonalization.
This is true. I don't have BPD, but I have a severe anxiety disorder, etc., and had a similar thing happen to me. As a teenager I reacted this way to weed, with full blown paranoia and hallucinations. It wasn't laced, everyone else was fine and had "normal" reactions. I was the only one to react like that, and everyone can react differently based on other drugs/medications in the system, or simply brain chemistry. I've met a few people who have the same horrible reaction that I do. Just because it's not the norm and most people don't experience it, doesn't mean it never happens. Hindsight is 20/20 and all, but I really wish they had taken her to the ER. It would have helped narrow down what she had taken, most importantly given her a safe place she couldn't have run from, and seen if she was actually having a mental health issue, either by itself or drug-induced.
Kate is clearly older, the face shape, lip shape and coloring are all wrong. But if you watch the newest video you notice the coke bottle is in French. One of the accounts that people say is a Fake Kate Yup mentioned being Belgium and they happen to speak French and Dutch in Belgium so I'm kinda wondering if she isn't trying to prove that the so called fake account is actually her. Kate wouldn't be the first person on TH-cam to hide their face for whatever reason. EDIT: Just noticed she removed the latest video with her weird fish experiment. But you can find it on Deitys channel if you wanna check out the coke bottle or see what weirdness she's up to this month.
I think Melissa drugged her and recorded it, to have proof she was "drugged by someone" and I definitely think Melissa seems very strange. Her getting so defensive with Dr. Phil is a red flag.
Exactly. but, i have something to say. isnt dr phil an entertainment show where you go for others entertainment and own benefit. why are they going to dr phil with an important missing persons case.
that may be a theory. but dr.phil targets a persons insecurities and MAKES them get defensive. That's what makes it entertaining. You watch it to see the break downs and crying and fighting. You would get defensive if you were being invaded like that too.
What really set me off was that they both tried to "get their stories straight" for the lack of a better term, when talking to Dr. Phil. When she talked about the audio he jumped in with, "so you could show her how she sounded" just the way he said it ya know. Then when asked about why they couldnt hear the audio he said,, its an on going investigation then they were looking back and forth like we weren't even asked, no, nope. Super sketch. Idk just a bad vibe.
I'm literally just listening to this not even watching it while I clean and I think it's the Stepmom, right off the bat. The way she's talking is creepy.
@@whattoputhere6310 Yeah, Dr. Phil is supposedly a psychologist, who specializes in treating family and relationship issues...why is a criminal investigation being done via Dr. Phil? Because the relationship between the adults is so damned important?!?
Am i the one who thinks it’s weird as hell that Melissa picked her up after she was running, but never asked why she was running? Where she was going? Who she was with and where they went? I’d be asking so many questions
Oh please her mom says there is evil in the stepmoms home but she didn't have a problem having her kids living there... Mind you mom wasn't very involved with her kids
I feel like theres hardly any evidence but on purpose. I feel like so much stuff is being left out and there's absolutely no leads whatsoever seems a little sketchy I feel like there's been so many missing persons cases that at least have a little bit of a lead or a little bit of evidence, this case is just like she disappeared in broad daylight
@@justicehunt8532 No they would not have the parents didn't give her the drugs and she would not have gotten in trouble the main concerns to doctors and nurses would be to get her stable not punish a 16 yr old for experimenting with drugs
I don’t believe Melissa had anything to do with this. Trying to recall details while your worst nightmare plays out can be difficult. I think it was different times with the latter post is because she was more clear minded
Melissa says one time that she "fell asleep around 530 and woke up at 715." Then in one of her videos she says the last time she saw her was 630. Hmmm? 🤔
I find this even more alarming now knowing that Karlie’s father, Zachary, got arrested earlier this year (2021) for domestic abuse. All of this makes me feel sad and sick :(
Omg that’s me lol I think about things I used to that could have resulted in something bad happening to me, watching these videos is educational for everyone and helps keep us safe. I can’t believe TH-cam is censoring these videos.
nasi goreng me! I get so paranoid. This world is awful. Like This poor mom is so sad that she fell asleep. Bc she woke up and her daughter is missing. She just fell asleep. She’s beating herself up. It makes me so paranoid lol.
nasi goreng Same... Truth be told: I called 911 on my neighbor bc I kept hearing lots of yelling, and was paranoid after just watching some Kendall Rae. Apparently she was praising Jesus. Oops.
@@emilyschultz6437 One time I called the cops because I heard screaming in my apartment building. My neighbor was just play wrestling with her daughter. I did it because the week before a father was dragging his daughter by her hair and then was throwing snowballs hard at her. The girl was the girlfriend of my best friends little brother and apparently the dad would get drunk a lot and start hitting her. Another night the dad was walking around the parking lot and starting crying for help to my husband about wanting to get sober for his kids. I dont know what happsince because we moved states but I really hope he got sober. So, better to be safe than sorry.
Melissa and the dad seem shady as hell. Especially when Melissa was filming on social media, something seems so fake about it, I can see it in her eyes. They totally are not innocent.
I feel like the bickering between the mom and step mom is absolutely ridiculous. Its not about them it's about finding karlie. The step mom making those videos while all of that is going on its very weird. I'm a step mom and making a video would be the last thing on my mind. I would of immediately took her to the hospital when I seen her like that.
The stepmom was weird too. She wouldn’t even call the emergency when Karlie asked her to. That stepmom is guilty or complicit or knows something she won’t share.
I've heard this case before, but it just now came to me: What if she had a head injury? I remember at 16, I got into a motorcycle accident, and was wearing a helmet that shattered on impact. Once I arrived to the hospital, I was not acting myself at all; refusing to sit close to my mom or family, which is so -SO- out of character for me. I was paranoid, angry... if I hadn't been aware or willing to share that I had been in an accident, my behavior could have been interpreted in the same way.
Can you do a where is for this woman, Stephanie Parze? She’s been missing since October 30th in Freehold, NJ. Her parents want her face and name out there.
Things I've learned from my best friend who knew Karlie: -The police and FBI never actually searched the house -There is a barrel that moves around the Chalfant and smells real bad that only showed up after she disappeared -Melissa is just as fake in person as she seems in the videos -Bishop cops didn't really do anything
Such a devastating case. I'd always genuinely felt this girl left on her own will bc she was paranoid and possibly seeing things. I cant even imagine the pain all of these adults feel♡ everyone loves to say "I would've called 911, I would've done this or that" but when you're faced in a situation like this, you'll be shocked how you actually respond to it.
yeah that was wrong on so many levels i was like WTF, she was asking to call 911, i would have done that or taken her to the hospital. why are ppl so obsessed with social media that they run to that, a live saying she is missing, i think she did it for attention from her friends and everyone else
Idk. I know Kendall is trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but all of it just feels really suspicious to me. I could understand not wanting to show Dr Phil, but I don’t know why they’d film it in the first place. It just feels wrong.
Agreed! There's just something off about the whole situation... If you see she's high and you have no idea what it is and she's obviously freaking out and asking you to call 911 you do exactly that you call 911 and have her checked out so they could of observed her, ran tests to make sure it wasn't an overdose or even a bad reaction or allergic reaction to something... They could of done so much more for that girl and instead her step mother outright tells her she won't call 911??? What kind of a parent is that?
lilly Loveee so true and I wonder if Melissa tried to get in touch with any of the other kids or their parents bc if they all smoked wouldn’t they want to make sure they are all ok as well
@@thesingdance101 Same. My initial thought is that the stepmom is innocent. But yea that feeling that her mother has that something is off. I don't know.
Yeh like she said to the boyfriend to pray for her but didn’t ask what she was on? Saying that she may well have smoked something that was laced without knowing
I’ve followed this case since the beginning, and I’m not sure if they’ve done this yet, but they really should take a cadaver dog through that house. I think she got in trouble for being intoxicated (on what I think was spice), things got out of hand, and either Zack or Melissa accidentally hurt her. They freaked out and hid her body in the desert. I’m sorry, Melissa’s version of events has changed too many times. If my daughter went missing, the timeline of what happened would be engrained in my memory and would be unwavering.
Amy Smith Cops have to find a GOOOOOD reason to get a warrant. Reason is, is because its high profile... unless. You secretly go to their home and around their home, use the dog.
@@nothanksbro420 I would think that they could just ask permission. If they have nothing to hide, they would have no reason to say no. Clearing themselves of any suspicion would be the natural first step towards solving the case.
Kendall I’ve been binging your content for days and I love what you’re doing for the community, the victims, and their families. This world needs more people like you!!
From my experience in Law Enforcement, the fact that within 10 hours of her going "Missing" her step mom is offering a theory of what she thinks happened sends up some serious red flags.... Particularly given the fact that she knows that she was awake most of the night. at that point, wouldn't it be feasible that she may have went back out with her friends to one of their homes and simply falling asleep 🤷🏽♂️
We all know that something is off with the case. 1. The stepmom seems really sketchy, if I had a child and s/he was missing, I would not be on Facebook live tryna make up an alibi. 2. The mom knows something is off, its the mothers instinct, mothers know when something is off or wrong. 3. Why didn’t the stepmom ask why Karlie was running? 4. Why was 911 not called after request by Karlie, who could have been overdosing? Basically the stepmoms story, makes not a lot of sense.
1. Moms and step moms often have pettiness between them and the mother looks the type. We don't know why she switched households. 2. I work with the mentally disabled as well as people with drug histories. Sometimes they request we call 911 due to hallucinations. We do, but they come right back. I think what she did was correct. Close observation. Watching signs. Ect.
I read a theory that some think the stepmother gave her some sort of benzo or something to fall asleep which counteracted badly with the drugs she had taken and she accidentally died. I think the stepmother had a prescription
Unless she did return from her walk after witnesses saw her then it is a possibility, it's very strange they haven't found a body It's either that or was pick on by someone
Doubt it. I dont think they'd get arrested if she died that way no reason for them to panic and hide the truth, plus the witnesses who said they saw her around in the morning.
Why would they do that tho. She went to a party. She over doses herself there. And yea she’s could have taken her to the hospital but with out hearing the tape we don’t really know what she sounded like or how bad it was. She prolly thought she just needed to sleep it off. She even stayed in the room with her. I just don’t see that happening. I think she just got up abs left on her own accord and was abducted

I’m a mom. If I found my daughter in this state, I would be taking her straight to the emergency room. Maybe she tried drugs for the first time or maybe she was drugged and assaulted. I’d rather know, and know she’s okay, then deal with the consequences.
Yes same!
Right i was talking to my mom about this
I was on drugs and came home and started hallucinating and my mom took me to to the hospital and i was there for 2 weeks
I think I'd try to help my daughter through the trip if she wasn't self-harming or having bp/respiratory distress. You're talking about a huge can of worms. Of course, I definitely support the decision if a parent doesn't feel comfortable with their ability to assess the situation.
@@abeautifulmind6034 better there then missing
@@amyrobison4676 yes i totally agree Melissa first said she woke up goes to wake up everybody like she does all the time tham realizes karlie's is not there and then she said she woke up right away she understands karlie's gone and the started looking for her.

i’m sure they have.
No fr, all of the weirdness stems from when she hung out with these “friends” like why aren’t any of them looked at? Do we even know who they are? Uhg
I’m not trying to be rude but it sounds like in this case everybody is focusing on the wrong things and the wrong people....
what do you think happened? for me its hard to say if it was her dad and step mom or if someone took her..
I agree :( so unfortunate
I agree. The dad/stepmom and mom are to busy blaming each other and fighting.

At the end of the day i agree with Kendall in saying that the real subject shouldnt be whos right but rather to find Karlie united.
For real! She even asked her step mother to call 911. If she was worried enough to record her she should have just taken her to the ER and got her system pumped.

Ariane Alassaf thats what I’m saying. The story sounds like Melissa tried her best but some things just don’t make sense.
Exactly! I know people that are allergic to weed and some people lace shit. Her step mom didn’t give a crap. She should have taken her to the hospital
The stepmom:
1) was the last person to be with her
2) was the only sober adult who fully understood what was going on with this girl, so she could/should have brought her to the ER
3) excessively put herself out there on social media
4) made “she’s cute” comments in an awkward/playful way that gave me chills
5) did not want to share the audio recording
6) was the one to pick her up. She claims that she was on drugs and acting weird when she picked her up, but no one ever called the friends and confirmed?
7) said she would call 911 and did not
Obviously I don’t know what happened, but the step-mother is very suspicious.
She didn't say she would call 911? She said that no, there's no need to call 911.
Ronja Mändmaa She told the girl she would and then didn’t because she didn’t think it was necessary
Idk why but i kind of believe Melissa, I just think she‘s not as clever as to react the right way
Ronja Mändmaa maybe she said that so that the girl wouldn‘t freak out
Hospitals can’t do anything for a bad trip 🙄
The most likely outcome imo is that she left of her own accord, and someone might have seen her stumbling around or picked her up and taken advantage of her vulnerable state.
I agree, that is one of my two main theories. I also think she may have ran off (because of her altered state) and possibly got lost in the desert and passed from exposure/ dehydration.

Why did her father call to tell her mother she was gone? Why wouldn’t he have asked the mom if she had heard from her or if she was there first? That was a red flag to me.
Because it's likely mom lived far away and Karlie couldn't get to her, also her phone was at home so couldn't communicate with her mom?
Because there's no way that she could've been with her mom, who lived really far away from them and she had no phone so she couldn't have called her

What if the step mom gave her benzodiazepines (anti anxiety drugs common ones are Xanax) and the pill interacted with whatever drug she was on and died? Because it’s really dangerous to mix downers and uppers it can stop your heart.
I wonder the same thing. Even knowing a bit about pharmaceuticals, my first instinct would be to give her benadryl to help her sleep.
I knew that step mom looked sketchy from that photo.
I really dont think that if the step mom or dad had anything to do with it that they would of kept or told anyone about the recording especially with her asking to call 911.
@@Syd448 Nahh, sometimes people do what Melissa did and over broadcast to make them look innocent

Dude is an opportunistic quack. Plain and simple.

Probably because he knows that they were lying and suspects that they were responsible for her death. He would be pressing the issue because he thinks they are deliberately mentioning the recording while refusing to show it.
Anything to cause drama for ratings.
Maybe I'm just a bad person but Melissa really sounds like she's forcing herself to cry about the situation
I totally agree with you. Her behavior is not normal....it's forced and all the live videos she did in the beginning are completely unnecessary

It creeps me out how Melissa talks about her in past tense. Like yes she’s “missing” but there’s no proof that she’s dead so..
Tbh in my mind when she woke up Karlie was ‘gone’ like not alive. In the Dr. Phil show her body language is like she reached out almost to like shake somebody to wake up. Mouths might lie, body language doesn’t.
It's easy to tell the difference between fake and real crying
I think it was wrong of Dr Phil to demand to hear the recording like he had a right to it

Listening to her mom breaks my heart. I can’t even imagine this happening to one of my kids. God bless her.
The "father" doesn't even talk about her like she is his daughter. And the stepmom is WAY dramatic.
Yes exactly these both are responsible for Karlie's disappearing..
It’s weird I think the step mom is acting more like a real mom than her actual mom
Dodgy people
It is really really bizarre that her parents know that she is having an adverse reaction to drugs and don't take her to the hospital
jenn lemmelin yeah I try to not be too judgmental but honestly my first thought was like...yo who even feels comfortable going to sleep in the first place when their child is having an adverse reaction to anything let alone a drug?

In most of the photos of Karlie, she doesn’t really look happy, a picture says a thousand words. Heart breaking!

I was thinking that but also could be acid.

I can't stand Dr Phil, He really thinks he's something more then a talk show host. He's not the police, the fbi or a current Dr, he has no right to inclusive recordings or to interview ppl who don't want to be on his show. He centered the show about the family drama, not actually trying to find Karli
Agree. Hes ridiculous.
Dr Phil sends kids to horrible camps and they don't get treated nicely there
oops i meant **of** in the last sentence
You spelled her name wrong it’s not Karli it’s Karlie with an i sorry but grammar
Why wasn’t she taken to the hospital though? Her parents didn’t know what she was given!
Bc people survive. I know many people that were taking weird stuff and was very in distress but were ok after a day/week. It wears off + isn't smoking w illegal?

@@HexIsme I disagree but ok 👌
Anyone notice how the mom/step mom at first says the brothers were sleeping, and then says they were watching tv in the living room ?
Yea... That's quite strange not gonna lie.
Honestly think it’s weird when the stepmom is describing her she just keeps saying how cute and pretty she is.
that rubbed me the wrong way too!! such a weird time to say stuff like that
I mean she is her mom...
I thought the same thing! In the live videos the stepmom kept going on about how pretty Karlie was and I perceived it as: my really pretty stepdaughter is "gone", feel bad for me
Andrew Harmon yes!!
I found this fishy as well
I see other channels making videos with no regard to the victims and their families and those videos don’t get taken down. The way that you present cases and have so much respect for the families you talk about is admirable.
So wait a damn second-as a parent why weren’t they more concerned?! If I’m running through the night
My mom would’ve been going crazy asking if I’m okay, where everyone is etc and definitely would’ve taken me to a hospital first thing she’d think is “she has to be on something !” Her dad and step mom definitely know more than they’re leading on!

She was able to stay wide awake to keep cleaning her name...butttt couldn't stay awake while her stepdaughter was in a crucial state of mind and had a bad trip.
she also was overcompensating when describing karlie, calling her cute and adorable instead of just simply describing her
Nah shes just trying to get everyone in the community to search for here
Dont try to make normal things look weird because your searching for it
I think she was just making people aware that he stepdaughter was missing and she explained the night to them so they knew what time, what happened, and why she was missing.

You don't go to the hospital everytime your super high. You just sleep it off. Probably what the mon thought too.
Kyle Foster you’re right no you don’t always go to hospital unless someone asks you to take them. Look at the end result?
wokring at the hospital i can tell you noone has the time to supervise a child on drugs either. she wouldve just bolted from there if thats what happened. maybe it wouldve even gotten worse. the hospital cant do more than take blood and deterime what drugs are being given and supervise vital functions. which is also what you can do at home for your teen where they feel save. imo putting your child with a bad trip and no signs of vital dysfunction in a hospital is just refusing to take responsbility for yourself.
That’s what I was thinking! My old friend had bipolar disorder and would get paranoid & black out whenever she would smoke weed
eh personally this sounds like a hallucinogenic or the weed was laced explaining why she stayed up
This is true.
It would have helped narrow down what she had taken, most importantly given her a safe place she couldn't have run from, and seen if she was actually having a mental health issue, either by itself or drug-induced.

at me it’s the town where she’s from
Alyssa Anne every time somebody does it moves again
Such a devastating case. I'd always genuinely felt this girl left on her own will bc she was paranoid and possibly seeing things. I cant even imagine the pain all of these adults feel♡ everyone loves to say "I would've called 911, I would've done this or that" but when you're faced in a situation like this, you'll be shocked how you actually respond to it.
As a mom of four (a step mom of two), the LAST thing I would do if one of my children went missing is hop on Facebook Live! 🤔
I'm not even a mother and the first thing I would have done was taken her to the hospital.
yeah that was wrong on so many levels i was like WTF, she was asking to call 911, i would have done that or taken her to the hospital. why are ppl so obsessed with social media that they run to that, a live saying she is missing, i think she did it for attention from her friends and everyone else
Idk. I know Kendall is trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but all of it just feels really suspicious to me. I could understand not wanting to show Dr Phil, but I don’t know why they’d film it in the first place. It just feels wrong.
not everyone has common sense.
What is her boyfriend saying about this? And the friends that she was with that night?
lilly Loveee last I checked his social media, hes posted about her on his Instagram quite a bit. It seems that he really misses her. :(
Breana Garcia what is his social media?
lilly Loveee so true and I wonder if Melissa tried to get in touch with any of the other kids or their parents bc if they all smoked wouldn’t they want to make sure they are all ok as well
Karlie Creations @_young_beans_ He had a bunch of pictures of her before on his ig, but now he just has a highlight for her
Karlie Creations Donald Arrowood III on Facebook and all his posts about Karlie are public to bring awareness
Usually a mother’s gut feeling about her child is right
Mothers intuition is scary accurate
Thats a really good point. I am kinda leaning on Melissa being innocent but the mothers intuition is what makes me think otherwise
@@thesingdance101 Same. My initial thought is that the stepmom is innocent. But yea that feeling that her mother has that something is off. I don't know.
but at the same time, she hasn’t lived with her bio mother since she was five
Was in Bishop recently...her missing persons flyers are still posted EVERYWHERE...so sad.
They did everything they could.. BESIDES call an ambulance when she asked
Why didn’t her parents get the details from her friends - like what drugs did they do? Couldn’t that have been helpful??
Yeh like she said to the boyfriend to pray for her but didn’t ask what she was on? Saying that she may well have smoked something that was laced without knowing
She did.
If she really did go out, yes, and if she really had a boyfriend, wouldnt they be hanging out together ? This is so weird !
Maybe they smoked and it was laced with something they didn’t realized
I’ve followed this case since the beginning, and I’m not sure if they’ve done this yet, but they really should take a cadaver dog through that house. I think she got in trouble for being intoxicated (on what I think was spice), things got out of hand, and either Zack or Melissa accidentally hurt her. They freaked out and hid her body in the desert. I’m sorry, Melissa’s version of events has changed too many times. If my daughter went missing, the timeline of what happened would be engrained in my memory and would be unwavering.

Cops have to find a GOOOOOD reason to get a warrant.
This is exactly what I was thinking
Kendall I’ve been binging your content for days and I love what you’re doing for the community, the victims, and their families. This world needs more people like you!!
She wasn't abducted, if she was paranoid she wouldn't have left the house, the whole story doesn't make any sense, I believe she died that night.
Davaun Kurcz yeah but she was also (supposedly) telling her dad and steomom “you’re gonna kill me” so she probably didn’t feel safe anywhere
Davaun Kurcz exactly. The dad and step mom without a doubt knows what really happened
All of these things make sense to me like I would of been calling 911 right away
Ect.
Faith Wakefield obviously the stepmoms choices were NOT correct or else karlie would be here today.
@@bathroomtile459 wrong
I feel like she died in her sleep and the parents freaked out and buried her somewhere. Just because the step mom has changed her story tons of times
I read a theory that some think the stepmother gave her some sort of benzo or something to fall asleep which counteracted badly with the drugs she had taken and she accidentally died. I think the stepmother had a prescription
Unless she did return from her walk after witnesses saw her then it is a possibility, it's very strange they haven't found a body
It's either that or was pick on by someone
that makes sense except multiple witnesses saw her walking down the street with a piece of paper in her hand early around 630 am
