    Example of what to say:
    Hello,
    My name is __ and I am calling on behalf of the Englebert family who has been waiting several years for answers regarding their son, Chance, who went missing on July 6, 2019. Chance was a new father, an older brother, and a devoted son who disappeared under unusual circumstances after walking away from his wife after an argument.
    The case has been investigated by the Gering Police Department, but as the years go by without answers, I believe it is time that Nebraska State Police step forward and take over the investigation. I am asking that you prioritize the transfer of this case to the correct department.
    It is not too late to find Chance and give his family the closure and justice they deserve.
    Thank you for your time.

    “The people that are living through these true crime cases are real people” it’s so important to keep that message front and centre now that there’s so many true crime influencers. Her family is not telling the full story. Since he was last seen with his wife's family, then that would make them the lead suspects. Especially the actions of his wife after is very telling. Something seems fishy. When you said his last location was only miles from her grandparents, that gave me a feeling in the pit of my stomach... Praying for his family, may they find answers and closure.

      I agree, I feel the same way. Whatever was said to him at that golf course had to be bad. Maybe the wife honestly doesn't know what happened. Something is definitely not right with her family. Who the hell tries to get a death certificate a couple days after he goes missing. She must know SOMETHING. I seen families wait years to get a certificate in hopes their loved one comes home . I honestly think whoever he had words with in her family knows a lot more . Why can’t you give this family peace and closure? Didn’t you do enough by taking the grandson away as well? What if it was your son wouldn’t you want to know what happened? Don’t you think this family deserves to finally sleep at night? I’m sorry but that family KNOWS something. I don’t care how forthcoming they supposedly are ppl are good at lying 🤥.

      So they did get his phone records. They were able to ping him off one tower, but that really doesn't narrow things down much in the area. They were able to confirm the calls and texts to his family and friends, so I would assume that included the one to Baylee early on in the evening. But even if it didn't, it shows he was active and a broad area after that time.

    I'm a Nebraska native, and the Platte river was notorious where I grew up for its incredibly unpredictable currents. My cousin drowned one summer swimming in it, and he was grown, totally sober, and a capable swimmer. It's dangerous normally let alone after a storm with heavy rainfall. I think the reason Baylee acts so oddly could be because her and Chance already had a rocky marriage with a lot of tension between their families from the start. At the time of his disappearance she had no income, a young child, was still young herself, and her family eventually lawyered up to protect themselves from the accusations that were coming their way. The whole situation that night was incredibly volatile and I think Chance ended up in the river somehow, intentionally or not. The PD is treating it as a homicide and I do think that's the right course of action. Given the chaotic and confusing nature of what happened, there is always a chance it was foul play. I pray that Chance is found, hopefully alive somehow. My heart breaks thinking about his family and friends and especially that little boy, they all need him home.

People find it difficult to believe that people like that could get lost or succumb to the elements but it does happen. No one is immune from that kind of thing, mother nature can be unpredictable. That boy chance seems as if he had behavior problems. There is no reason to not invite your mom to your special day other than she was a bad mom growing up, and by the story, seems she was a good mom. Seems like Chance never wanted to face his problems, he keeps running away. Maybe the wife family put and end to it.

      @@VividReality74 I disagree. he seems like a very good person. it seems that the reason his family wasn't invited was because of the WIFE, not HIM. his disappearance was the only time it seemed he "left" (if there was no foul play). My theory: Chance was walking down the street, on his phone, and got hit by a car. We can see in the video that he was crossing the road while being on his phone. Maybe someone hit him or ran him over, freaked out and hid his body somewhere. People don’t just vanish.

    • @freyalavellan
      @freyalavellan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Cctv would've caught him getting hit by a car at that specific intersection/road. But yeah it's still possible an accident happened, somewhere. Makes way more sense than the wife and her family plotting his death after a tiff, especially considering he was likely out during the entire storm and a driver could've hit him when they couldn't see.

    My positive thoughts, vibes, and love go out to Chance’s family! My brother’s name is also Chance so I felt a special connection to him. This is the second or third video I’ve watched about Chance and each one makes my heart so sad. I’m very glad his story is still getting out, so thank you for that Kendall! I love the videos that have the family clips in them because it truly reminds you that these are real people we listen to. I hope that answers come for his family soon! They deserve to know where their son is!
    My thoughts (this is all alleged so don’t come for me):
    I just have a feeling in my gut that somehow Baylee knows more than she is saying. Something with her story just doesn’t add up. Depending on the situation, personally, if someone made a comment about my income, and then we left the situation, I wouldn’t still be SO angry like she is saying. I feel like there HAD to have been an argument on the drive back to Grandmas house. That’s the only way I can see why he would be so upset to walk off and why he didn’t want to talk to Baylee. Something isn’t adding up and someone is withholding information or lying about what really happened and I truly hope that the truth comes out sooner rather than later.
    If you took the time to read my comment, thanks so much! I love you and don’t forget you are so important in this world and I’m so happy you are here! ☺️❤️

    Doesn’t everyone think it’s odd how they found a phone on the porch and she ended up getting rid of the phone even though his friend happen to say it looked like his friends who went missing . She supposedly gave it to the neighbor and the other thing that is strange is that in the video Kendall says on the case that his last location that the phone was pinged was near his home around 10:00pm . So what if he came home eventually and she ended up murdering him for trying to get his life insurance or whatever her or her family were hiding or having to do with his murder somehow . After all she was very jealous because of the accusations of cheating . What if he tried to text his family member that he was dying and she took the phone or he couldn’t finish asking for him or telling on who it was as he was dying . It’s very weird that the police haven’t told her to take the phone or done a whole search on her family’s property’s and her . His mom should hire a private investigator and if she doesn’t have enough funds we should all put up a donation or go fund me to actually figure out what truly happened to her son .

    • @RT-qf2ry
      @RT-qf2ry ปีที่แล้ว

      I had pretty much that same idea. When they said that the fights could go pretty rough sometimes ... Who's to say in anger in the car
      (yeah she said that they weren't but you don't have to argue to say that one good hit)
      She actually did say that one thing maybe about him just up and leaving so it'll be easier and I'they will be taken care of and that got to him and pushed him over the edge after hearing her family talked about him making less money and with chance being a man that is very hurtful to have your pride hit, when you're supposed to be the man out there making the money and taking care of your new kid and wife.
      So. maybe he just broke and decided to go ahead and sacrifice himself. (The text to the aunt screams of someone who's just given up, and doesn't want to be turned back)
      So with the phone thing and him only being four miles away I do think there was a possibility of someone else being involved probably because she knew it's best to distance yourself from that thing to be able to keep her credibility when it came to interviews and etc.
      But of course this is all purely conjecture and just the idea I got from hearing it.
      Poor guy.

      I wondered about that also, especially with his last location ping being near a truck stop gas station. Also, I don't know the circumstances of the other man that was mentioned as missing, but that they both went missing in the same area and at around the same time seemed extremely suspicious. I don't want to put any further fears or worries on the family for sure, but it made me wonder if some unknown person could possibly be responsible for or even have knowledge of both Chance and the other man which disappeared. The phone deal does seem super sketchy though! Regardless of all that, I pray for answers and closure and a miracle for this family. And I really hope that baby gets to know his dad's family. As a grandmother, I cannot imagine not having access to or time with my grandbaby...especially if something had happened to my child and they were missing. Family needs family and he is their last link with Chance.

  • @mishfishy7645

    I do feel like someone was involved in his disappearance, but I want to touch on one thing. The family says a lot of things like “he would NEVER do this” “he was a strong guy he wouldn’t drown” “we saw the video he wasn’t angry and wasn’t drunk”! Of course they know him well, but sometimes people just snap and you wouldn’t even be able to tell on the outside. He could appear pretty normal, but inside he decided he was going to do something. We really can never know. I hope they find him.

    While I can't deny Bailee's actions are suspicious, I do think it's important to note the story we're getting is from Chance's mom and best friend. I don't doubt Chance was a great guy. He sounds like an incredible father. That said, we have no idea what his life with Bailee actually looked like or why she'd feel the need to ice his family out.
    It's clear she didn't have a great relationship with them and we haven't heard her side of why. It's incredibly common for new wives to fight with their mother-in-laws, especially when sons are as close to their mothers as it seems Chance was to his mom. Super important to put this into that perspective because that is completely normal.
    She also is very young and I wouldn't be surprised if her family got a lawyer involved, if they told her to get his insurance policy ASAP and to begin taking care of matters as if Chance is dead. I do think it's odd and I do think Bailee needed/needs to be more mature and let his family in on what's going on. That said, she is so young. There is a ton of evidence that he was walking by himself during that storm and almost no evidence foul play happened.

      She has cooperated. She didn't evoke her rights. She talked with them willingly, multiple times for hours. They investigated her cell phone. They would most definitely investigate the in laws phones and where abouts. Spouses are ALWAYS suspect #1. That he argued with the guys, would make them suspect #2 and #3. Mom and him were fighting. She keeps talking about him in past tense. If this were another case and we didn't see a crying mom, people would find the mom very suspicious.
      The mom seems to have a very hard time letting her child grow up. She "loved" him (her words, past tense) but that love can feel very suffocating to a grown man trying to fly the coop.

    I watched this video a few days back, and continue to think about it. Something is just so chilling, eery, and off about this story. I do not believe he was swept up by the storm - it really makes no sense at all. The fact that he was adamant about going home after the "rude comment" speaks volumes. I truly feel as though his "wife's" family had something to do with his disappearance. Perhaps while they were looking for him, her father and brother found him and sweet-talked him to get in the car. The 24 hours before she reports him missing is ample time for the family to get their stories to align. I'm sending love to Chance and his family. I pray justice is served.
