The ocean meditation was wonderful. I grew up by the beach and I always search for one when I need healing.
I remember getting knocked down a lot as a kid by the waves. My brother put a swim mask on me and told me to go under the waves. And it was peaceful and gentle underneath. I would watch the turbulence pass over. There will always be waves , small to large, to deal with - at any age. And it’s always steady under it all.

Nice reflection and it echoes my perspective. When I was a young child, I remember watching "Pinnochio" at the movies. I vividly recall the scene when Jimminy Cricket sang, "Always let your conscience be your friend". That really struck a chord with me for some reason, like it was something I needed to remember. I believe life is a sum total of every little action that you choose. When you choose "skilful action" based on love, compassion, acceptance, forgiveness, your conscience is your friend. It tells you that you are a good person. The contrary is also true when you choose "unskillful" action based on greed, hatred and malice....the conscience tells you that you are not a good person. So my way forward is based on 1. first do no harm to self or other. 2. Try not to impinge on another persons free will choice. 3. Accept what is and respond skilfully. I get the strong sense that we are both on the same page :)

Indeed Scotty. Wonderfully presented comment. I should also add that for anyone interested in understanding global economics. Go to Scotty's channel and watch the video discussion with Alex Krainer. Many thanks Scotty.

Due to a death in the family I recently got into the presence of a couple boasting about their wealth. This same couple seemed to have conveniently forgot that 40 years ago when we were very young they owed me money. I had not seen these people in many years. I tried to keep my composer but realized this was my only chance to confront them about the dept they owed me. After listening to them boasting about their finances and they did have the money I confronted them about it and scolded them for not ever making any effort to pay me back my money. My point is some times you have to step up and be a jerk and embarrass someone or be craped on . I got my money only because I did embarrass them in front of other guest at the memorial gathering. It put me in a bad light but I have my family to be concerned about and it was a significant amount of money not a lot by today standard but enough to make issue about since we're all retired now.

This is lovely. Should be the first in a series on a positive mindset!
The ocean footage was a nice touch.

Very nice😊 I watch After Skool at times also and the drawings are amazing. There’s a great many “influencer “ channels and some discernment is required. Many have been trained at the Tavistock Institute, which is in effect, developed for mind control of the masses in subtle ways. Important I feel to sift the grain from the chaff😀

Absolutely, When I listen to many spiritualist and mind scientists I practice the delicate art of gleaning the dogma from the potential message. "No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it." Albert Einstein. Many thanks for the words of sound advice, I'll be looking into this Tavistock Institute.

I appreciate that Shadow, that was my intention. I'd like to do more videos about simplifying all the beliefs that we're are bombarded with in life. Over the years I've found Pageantry, ritual, and complex procedures. They are encumbrances that destroy the essential in many beneficial beliefs.

I once fancied myself a poet. Then it became apparent that words are too easily lost to the reader. I wrote this last poem and realized that is as good as it gets for me. I will spare you the entirety of it but may I share the opening with you my friend. As it reminds me of you.
“You are the rocks on the shore that waves hurl themselves upon.
Your wild defiance shatters their anguish when you but return their desperate embrace.”

I use to earn a ridiculous amount of money at 19 year olds through mobile games I created.
I would have never understood this kind of mindset, being happy with simplicity. I always wanted more, but in my defence, I suppose that isn't uncommon for a teenager. I'm 25 now and after having success after success financially after everyone told me I wouldn't have any success, I became prideful and arrogant. I lost everything, every penny to an overly ambitious idea and then I was hit with a £40,000/$50,000 tax bill on top of that.
What a necessary humbling experience that was. Since losing my material wealth I've found my true wealth as have you; our time and freedom. Everyday I would have been anxious about the future, not having enough money and that was whilst I was considered to be in the top 1%. Now I'm probably not even in the top 50% and I'm more comfortable than ever before. I never knew what inner peace was. We do to need enjoy what we have right now, living fully in the present, the next second is not guaranteed. Thank you for sharing your story.

Thank you my friend. I think quieting the mind begins by simply letting the rapid firing thoughts arrive and then dissipate after being acknowledged. When I get a nagging thought I say "Oh hi it's you again, let me get back to you."

Thanks, another Great Mini Discourse. Yes with the Transitory nature of this World, ultimately a Higher Consciousness life style is the only one that makes sense. Met a paraplegic senior today (70's) who's had MS since she was 15 today . Listening to all her trials and tribulations of her life and also being at the Hospital today to drive a senior friend home after a long Medical "journey"
sort of put thing into perspective today.

PS What did Bukowski mean when he said : "I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around" ?

    • @wildernesshermit
      @wildernesshermit  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Those experiences definitely do put us in a different perspective. Regarding Bukowski's comment. I think people who aren't settled and comfortable within themselves are the ones who have difficult being around other people. It sort of throws them off their limited self awareness. Thanks Lucky and take care.

Basic instructions for Buddhist meditation and Buddhist approach to life. If you are in a larger city, many Western Buddhism temples offer meditation sessions open to the public. Tell the leader of the session that you are new if you want a little guidance.
Important fact to know is that Buddhism WILL NOT try to convert you, or have requirements like that other religion. Thanks Mike, happy Memorial Day. 🙋

Absolutely, great information. I joined a sect of Buddhism back in 1966. I was 16, living on the streets, poorer than dirt and rather shabby. They accepted me with nonjudgemental arms and it's left a lasting impression. Thanks my friend for the contribution, it's always appreciated.
