My mother 🕊️ 🥀 was a huge Patti LaBelle fan, this was one of her favorite songs... I'm so thankful to have the wonderful memory of being able to take her to see Ms. LaBelle at Wingate in Brooklyn during the free summer concert series (don't judge me, I couldn't afford a concert ticket back then😆)
By this time my mom's health had deteriorated and she lost her career as a nurse🏥 in her 50's due to: life long obesity, high blood pressure, borderline diabetes, stroke and unfortunately an amputation but she was still rocking out in her wheelchair ♿ it brought me such to tears with joy to see her forget physical trials and tribulations momentarily, enjoy seeing her idol Ms. LaBelle whom showed up (on time 👏🏾) AND showed the 🤬 out, putting on a show for the people.(Folks, especially black folk with a predisposition for the above ailments got to take of yourself)
