Thank you for this video. I was a part of a study abroad group at my college back in 2005 and we traveled all over southern India for an entire semester. We spent a while in Kerala and this video really brought me back to all those amazing memories of the things we got to do there. Including the tiger reserve and those woven boats on the river. It was so nice to see them again after all this time. If you ever get the chance to go back to India, riding a train is such an adventure. There are men who hop onto the train at every stop with chai /tea and they will do that one meter trick to help cool down the tea quickly. We Americans would try to do it all the time and mostly burnt our hands. 😁

My Mother Did the Whole India Trip from north to south and west to east and Kerala was her Favourite... I hope to travel someday on the same roads in the Memory of my Late Mother...

@@tidus4010 Kashmir, HP, Uttarkhand are over-rated. Very overrated. There is a reason why Kerala was included in the 10 must see destinations in a human lifetime by the National Geographic magazine. Not other INdian state made it even to the top 50 list by the National Geographic magazine.

I am here studying in Australia. I have a friend from Kerala and he would often accompany with me on our hikes here. He often told me Kerala was beautiful. After watching your video, no wonder he has a lot of stamina for hikes and is always excited for it.

@@drodro7672 yeah delhi(not the whole, thx to pollution and underdevelopment) and harayana(specially close to Punjab and Chandigarh region) is also good, but bro u know that i know that what is the ranking of UP and Bihar in every index(apart from GDP related)🤐. Of course there could be some individuals good location to travel to like Taj mahal in UP and Buddha sites in Bihar and national parks/UNESCO sites, but when u say which state overall is best to travel in india. Up and Bihar are among the least fav(i myself am from MP live close to UP border)

I am Malayali now 84 years old. In 1950 kerala had 18 million population towns and cities were less polluted than now in 2024 population is 36 million. Roads are congested with vehicles motorbikes cities are filthy stinking with garbage heaps and raw open sewage gutters... People are greedy selfish arrogant consumers have fallen for the ads of capitalists to buy their products. In year 2035 population will be 50 million. Kerala is overpopulated youth leave for European countries USA and Arabian Gulf countries seeking job and better quality life. Overpopulation is problem all over India with 1400 million selfish greedy arrogant Indians all over and everywhere... Hhoooo what a hell is life for the young Indian in India added to it is greedy politicians and crony capitalists like ADANI who was nobody but got wealthy by friendship with politicians in power who made Bank loans easy for them less corporate taxes and favorable tax free business opportunities in turn for lavish party funding.
My family is from Kerala and from what they have told me and from what I’ve seen I can say with certainty that it is among one of the most beautiful places on earth and is home to some of the most amazing people as well it makes me proud to be Indian!

Many tourists only target the known locations of kerela which are mostly industrial areas. I'm very happy to see a travel vlogger exploring less known areas of kerela and showing the world the true colours of our state
Oh Allison you've done an incredible job on this and sparked our interest in India in a way we hadn't thought about it before. i'm so excited to explore learning more about the places you went. I am sure that Kerala Tourism is delighted with your work! (I know of what I speak ...) and 100% agree on the outdoor shower. We had one in Costa Rica and it was magical because of the temperature and because of all the tropical vegetation that usually is part of the shower area. Thanks Allison!

Having started documenting my travels this year, I'm currently covering the locations at Kerala's neighboring state of Karnataka. Lol we were never ashamed. I've traveled most North India, places like Himachal Pradesh, Leh Ladakh, Shimla are heaven on earth. We Indians have always known this. You're probably some troll account spreading misinformation about India.
The first foreign vlogger that didn't have cows, slums and autos in the thumbnail xD. India honestly has so much nature and greenery, especially South and North East. A lot of the Airbnbs there will remind you of Bali and Philippines. Meanwhile mountains and cottages are in the far north, we have places that are called Mini Switzerland! But sadly none of the foreigners show that and only a very small part of India is shown via slums, chor bazaars and places that even we as Indians don't visit.
honestly, cows do not wander on the streets here in kerala..Cows are invinsible in cities but taken care of in farms in rural areas..In rural roads also, there are no cows

They don't keep the cows with them they bring them only when they start to give milk after that they are again abandoned for wandering in roads because of this accident and traffic has been increasing here

To be honest when I arrived in Kerala and saw the “God’s own Country” catch phrase from its tourism department, I kind of rolled my eyes. But somewhere along my trip, as I took in the natural beauty and the love from its people, I gradually realized I didn’t even want to leave that place. It truly was God’s own country. It had a way of making everyone feel at home. I still feel like I belong there and I am a malayali (although I don’t speak the language). One of most beautiful places I’ve ever been and that’s not just the nature, but people too.

1- North for - Ice mountains, Religious, foods, snow, cold trecking pilgrim.
2- South for - Oceans, Back waters, nature greenery, Coffee, Sunset. Beaches
3- East for - Nature , Rain ( wettest place on earth) ,Green Himalayas, Rhinos, unique Cultures, on of the best Biological diversity on earth.
4- West for - hot desert(Thar desert) camel safari, Tigers, Westen ghats, Mumbai, Ajanta caves etc.

If you want the best beaches - Goa, Tranquil Nature - Kerala and Sikkim, Rugged Mountains and terrains - Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Rainforests and diverse culture - Arunachal Pradesh, Before Independence architecture - West Bengal, Temples - Odisha, Salt flats - Gujarat, Desserts and Palaces - Rajasthan, and the most beautiful place in India - Kashmir, Leh Ladakh…

By North india ,i think u only meant delhi.. or bihar.. but Rajasthan, gujarat and M.P. are also very good.. cleanest city is in MP, pink city & blue city is in Rajasthan, and both gujarat & Rajasthan has oldest history , culture & sculptures being part of indus valley to maratha dynasty...❤

India has many places apart from Kerala that are worth a visit. I agree that Kerala is astonishingly beautiful and serene, but a country which has Ladakh, Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Western Ghats etc - Kerala is just one of the many places one should always see in India.
It looks like an ad or a documentary for KTDC (Kerala Tourism Development Corporation) to promote Kerala and within a short time you have invited everyone to enjoy the beauty of Kerala like a brand ambassador of Kerala Tourism Thank you Allison 👍🏼

I know you may not see this and that’s okay. I just wanted to say you have been my biggest inspiration this year. It’s the first time in my adult life I’ve been single and you’ve given me the courage to not let being on my own stop me from doing the things I want to do. I’ve solo travelled around my country this year and loved every minute of it. I already have plans for next year to explore Scotland and Wales, and my first ever solo international trip to Iceland. Every time I see your videos pop up I get so excited and they always renew my determination to make the most out of life, regardless of whether I have someone with me or not.
Go to Australia ( and you can transit kochi in kerala) if you are under 30, you can get WHV working holiday visa, 2 years, i think. Then you can legally work and holiday. oz is easy for anglos . and you wont be alone for long in oz haha 😃👍

It always buffs me that most foreigners often only visit to Delhi-agra or mumbai, while the absolute beauty of india lies in the north (j&k, ladakh, himachal, uttrakhand), north east and Western ghats (maharastra, gow karnataka and Kerala).

True that, I guess they visit Mumbai and Delhi because it's more convenient, you don't need a tour guide to travel around these places , whereas the extreme North, North east and the islands&ghats require some sort of acquaintance. Also these places aren't really promoted well , they are lesser known hence people find it risky to travel to those parts . But truly they are the gems of India . I'm glad people are at least exploring Udaipur .
