As a German it’s funny to hear someone speak so kindly about Deutsche Bahn. It gets a lot of hate for unreliability and poor service.
But since I used some public transport on my current US roundtrip I can see why you loved the Deutsche Bahn. You guys are really unlucky with your trains! 😅
Btw love it that you finally made it to my home-country! ☺️

YES I was thinking the same. People from the us always say nice things about DB and I am always like - dont you believe it is always that easy. wait til its 40 C and the AC doesnt work, or if snow falls and the DB decides oooops that was unexpected in winter .... sorry we cant work today.

    • @ThomasS17

I think it's just the high standard we are expecting. I live in Canada for a few years now and here in my province there is only one passanger train line you can take, and that only goes across the country (so no local stops) and goes by once or twice a week. So I'd be happy with the DB here :D

I was only at the castle Oybin, near some water-diver's locations and in Dresden. I must say that you have AMAZING shooting skills and you presented everything so well it makes me to go there for a visit (once everything is a little bit more settled with Covid since e.g. neighbouring Austria is closing its borders.
You have really good pronunciation too - congrats! I will just add that a word "stadt" which is German word for "city" is pronounced as /ʃtat/ - it has English "sh" at the beginning :)

Germany has so much more to offer, even if your trip and the moments you captured were really beautiful, but if you ever come back to Germany, please don't miss out the South! The national parks, small towns but also cities like Munich, are a MUST :-) Would love to see your impressions from Berchtesgaden, Eibsee and Zugspitze, once you'll come back. That is just not true, most of them were fairy tails from all over the German countries with local variations. The Grimm's just summarised them and wrote them down, so these Stories can be based almost everywhere in or around Germany. But exept this: great video

I started watching you like 10 years ago, started solo travelling one year ago and I am from Germany. Totally interesting to see your development, how you have grown up and how you are enjoying my home country. Your videos are one of the reasons I started travelling alone. I was always scared about this as a young woman. Well solo travelling is much more relaxed and to be scared wasn't needed at all.

There is no "Trespassing" in Germany as long as it is not obvious. All paths and ways are free to walk, through forrests, fields and meadows - as long as there's no fence, you are allowed to go. Of course you are expected to respect nature and installations.

As Americans living in Germany, it was wonderful to see your impressions of this country, especially the areas where you visited as we haven't been there yet because we live in the north. It looked absolutely lovely and hopefully, we'll be able to visit soon! We're glad we found your channel!

It's stunning here. Don't make the mistake and visit Berlin or Munich, go to the smaller towns for the real experience here. Even many germans hate the big cities, at least here in southwest germany, Swabia, not Baden.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. 😊 But I have to correct one thing: (for all non-German viewers who should look in vain for clues to the Brothers Grimm in the Black Forest) the forests mentioned which the Brothers Grimm talked about so often are in nothern Hesse (in the middle of Germany) where the German Fairy Tale Route can also be found. There is also a museum of them. 😉

Southwestern Germany where you were has so many places to go and see. For car enthusiasts, you must go to Mercedes and Porsche museums in Stuttgart. For an even more in depth car experience, see about booking the Mercedes Factory tour in nearby Sindelfingen. Of course rent a nice car (Mercedes perhaps) and drive on the autobahn with no speed limit in places. For chocolate enthusiasts the Ritter Sport Factory is found in Waldenbuch outside Boeblingen is interesting. Note of course that German spas have clothing optional areas where you can enjoy and relax. Germans are not shy at the spas. Other notable places nearby would be medieval town Rothenburg ob der Tauber with its walled old town. Excellent. Munich is a two hour drive away with plenty of sites. Prost!

Great video! So many beautiful places! All the travels go in circles. I rode around Asia, spelling out a parabola on one of the hemispheres of our planet. In short, a circumnavigation is just a curious person's way back home. And I learned one thing...never save for something you can't replicate.
