I wanted to add afterwards as well that the tuning utility wasn't as great as lenovos vantage tool stability wise. Radeon also has dynamic resolution which tends to give me better fps overall as well. I didn't have a great experience with magpie and it's incompatible with games that use easy anti-cheat. I do appreciate the video and would rather use the apu than a cloud gaming platform like GeForce Now which introduces a LOT of additional latency. I primarily find that this laptop has the most performance issues when trying to load from what I assume is RAM. When I'm in Rust and I run quite a ways, the laptop will sometimes freeze all together for a second or two while loading in the sprites. I don't believe it's gpu related but more-so an issue with RAM
I wouldnt recommend using the optimized version in software - 55 vs 53 fps isnt that different compared to the loss of clarity that the optimized version brings. Also use antialiasing with fsr, because although may drop 1-2 frames but makes the game look like its painted in native.
Can anyone actually tell me how to use this? I press Alt + F and nothing happens. Magpie itself works, it's just this weird utility whatever that doesn't
ok I use loseless scaling FSR for quite a bit I notice if you goes to custom there major different in performance different but it depend on game also cuz you could get a boost (tiny one not worth it actually) in fps and visual quality. I supposed you might want to try that out for a bit also I try NIS is looking so Wrong and honestly ain't worth for me atleast.
wow , l have never seen this one before , a app software to increase fps for all games and not just only boost fps , quailty image even look much better.
stand alone magpie has a lot more options and you can change to all kinds of different upscaling filters. 99% of them aren't going to be relevant to be relevant unless you're playing old school 2d games tho.
How do you have avg FPS in msi afterburner... I went into the settings enabled the frame per second and avg low etc, and only the current FPS is showing up... not avg.
you need to start benchmarking. in the benchmark tab on msi afterburner settings just hot key the start and stop buttons. when you start a benchmark it will show the average and the 1% lows if you enabled that as well.
in my experience this injectors are not very good. thank god i finally managed to get a gpu this black friday (6500 xt for $99 + a free $60 game) if i need to force fsr again the card have rsr that works much better.
I recommend instead of using the tuning utility, to use vantage and set it to high performance mode. It works well enough and is more stable. That said, I have 8gb soldiered so can't confirm that your fps will improve that much. You can also do a quick web search of how to add high performance power mode to windows which I use quite a bit
@@ulfricstormcloak7142and this too) I'm talking about what is better to use fsr for work: lossless scaling, magpie, cyber dlss unlocker or something else?
In theory yes, but you will more than likely not see any real improvement. The iGPU in that wasn’t great when it came out. All these years later, it will struggle in pretty much anything unless you drop the resolution down to extreme levels. FSR has some performance overhead which means that it does affect performance a bit in return for slightly improved visual quality vs just running at a lower resolution without any upscaling. So if you’re struggling to run at game at 800x600 res, FSR is only going to make it worse. It really only helps in games you can already play at 900p or 1080p and want to improve the FPS by running it at a lower resolution with some upscaling to help make it feel like it isn’t as noticeable.
@@EVOTech1 True ... Lossless scaling working 💯 Quality is great 1080p but not playable only 5~6 Fps and too much lag even I tried v-sync but no success. I think I should have to play without Magpie and lossless scaling 😑

Now that I have become a regular viewer, I feel like this is the your best video yet. Testing all 6 games in both tools with all the resolution.
The devs upscaling option called "LS1" in Lossless Scaling is better than FSR 1 imho.
Thanks extremely useful video. I appreciate it a lot. My lenovo has the same exact apu and 8gb of ram

Inject framegen in any game with LSFG
Tried it my 6700xt way better now😂
I wonder if these apps will support FSR 3.0. That would be great.
FSR 3 should be built in driver so these apps wouldn't be necessary anymore
